"Perfect"

The hotel was in close proximity to the theatre, also lots of eating places and a shopping centre nearby. Hotel was very comfortable. They made my husbands birthday very special, by a complimentary cheesecake presented a a lovely slate board, and a card. Room was absolutely wonderful, and made the total package a special weekend. Thank you so much to all the staff.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Doubletree Victoria. We were very impressed with the hotel from the minute we have checked in to the time to check out. The staffs just couldn`t do enough for you and with the big smile on their face ! The breakfast was out of this world ! The room is very pleasant, nice and of very Hilton `s high standard.Thank you again for your exceed satisfactory service ! We will certain come back again and recommend the Double tree to everyone we know .

"excellent notel in a very conveniant position"

Staff were really good but our only poor experience was when trying to get an evening bar meal. There were very few tables convenient for dining and none vacant. The waiter refused to let us eat at the adjacent breakfast table. We left and ate elsewhere

"Room needed updating"

The room we had was dated, no mirror in main room and had to blow dry next to the dresser with no mirror bathroom had water damage and some broken tiles. Very noisey could hear next room and outside people in court yard.

"Good quality hotel ideally located for Wicked or Billy Elliot shows"

Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming both on reception and in the restaurant. The free warm cookie is a cute welcoming gift which went down well with a cup of tea in the room. The room itself was adequate for a short stay with two large single beds joined to make a huge double. Bedroom and bathroom quite modern decor with good sized bath. There was a small issue with what was a dirty cover on one of the pillows and there weren`t many tea bags in the room, but staff called on two occasions to check if all was OK, so I was generally impressed with service. Free chocolates and stawberries were also well received. We had full english breakfast and as seasoned London hotel visitors thought this was amongst the best FEB buffet breakfasts we have had. Staff were also on hand to ensure we had enough tea and our toast arrived quickly and warm ! It was a perfect location for Wicked at the Apollo Victoria being only 200 yards or so from the theatre. All in all - very happy with our stay.

"ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL"

We had a lovely stay at this hotel from the moment we arrived until we checked out,all the staff were very welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would strongly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again in the future. Thankyou to everyone for making our stay such a pleasant one

"Helpful staff and lovely breakfast."

Staff extremely nice over any little problems that arise.I must also praise the quality of the breakfast and the dining room.Only downside was noisy heating system.

"nice stay marred by the petty wifi charges"

I strongly object to paying for wifi, its like charging extra for water, electricity, sheets and towels. It is a basic commodity, costs next to nothing to provide yet you charge an extortionate fee. It is a makes me feel like you are ripping me off. This is not a good felling for your guests to leave with.

"Although the hotel stay was of good standard."

We felt let down by the fact that the ongoing work around Vicoria Station was not mentioned to us and also the fact the a good majority of the rooms overlooked a very busy ring road. Had we known this for definate we probably would`ve chosen a different hotel

"The hotel staff could not be faulted, the hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment programme"

The area of Victoria is nice and central, however is currently being dug up and there are not many local bars and resteraunts in the area, and the is ongoing until 2014. Hotel will be a good place to stay once the area and hotel refurbishments have been completed

"Free upgrade on arrival! "

Could not fault our stay from warm welcoming cookies to Strawberries, chocolate and complimentary bottles of water in room. Car parking at staion just around the corner was cheap at weekend £10 all day. Fantastic room and service, staff throughout hotel could not do enough - thanks.

"Great location, troubling service."

Easy to find, perfect for the Apollo Theatre, and the rooms were great. However the restaurant is far too small for the hotel size, we had quite a wait for breakfast and on arrival after 2pm, we still had to wait for the rooms to be serviced!

"Great location, good rooms, terrible service "

Whilst we appreciate that this is a busy city centre hotel, it was still the most impersonal and weak customer service we have experienced for a long time. Hotel is in a great location, modern and equipt, rooms well proportioned, good breakfast, however we won`t go back which is a shame

"Friendly Staff and Very Good Service."

We went to London to see the Queen`s Jewels at Buckingham Palace and also to go to the Tower of London. Using the Doubletree Victoria we were able to walk to the Palace for a full day visit. Then used the Circle Line tube for The Tower and after refreshing at the Hotel, tube again to Covent Garden where we had an excellent meal at a French Restaurant, Cote, which had been recommended to us.

"Apart from the worse than poor restaurant it was fine I guess."

The location was good as it was right next to Victoria station and the room was quiet despite the train station The staff were welcoming and friendly on reception. The room was nice, pretty much what you would expect. If you want a tasty, hot, reasonably priced meal then I recommend avoiding the restaurant which serves up the opposite. The simplistic meal of chicken and noodles took over 25 minutes for the chef to not microwave it enough. The food came out literally frozen in places and for dessert a warm sloppy cheesecake. The waiter forgot some of our drinks to top it off as well. So, apart from an atrocious meal, it was fine I guess.

"Quality hotel in perfect location for the west end and onward transport connections."

The first external impression of this hotel is that of an office block with hastily put up hotel signs. Don`t let this fool you. Once you enter the lobby it is quite apparant you are in a high end establishment. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and everywhere is spotless. Huge variety on the breakfast buffet. Located opposite victoria station the hotel is conveniently situated for theatre land and main tourist attractions.

"Nothing bad to say. Clean and friendly. "

Main thing in a hotel for me is cleanliness and this was very good. When you walk in a hotel room you instantly get a feeling if its good or bad and our room didn`t make me feel as i needed to look anywhere for dust or hairs in the bed, i new it was fine straight away, and it was. The staff were unobtrusive and did everything friendly and efficiently. The breakfast was excellent. The hair dryer in the drawer and the table lamp didn`t work, but that would be due to a fuse i guess but didn`t bother us although i`m sure it would of been dealt with if we had asked.

"Beautiful comfortable hotel"

We enjoyed our stay very much, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone also a great location for accessing the whole London thanks to been opposite Victoria station! The room was so comfortable best nights sleep I have had in a hotel! The personal touch of the cookie on arrival was just great :) great first impression

"Excellent hotel in superb location"

This hotel was fantastic, very helpful, welcoming staff. We arrived early and were welcomed with a hot chocolate cookie, the hotel took care of our bags to enable us to go into London bag free. The hotel is located over the road from Victoria rail and tube station, making travelling around easy. Our room was quiet, very clean and had hairdryer, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board, everything you need when away from home. I could not find one thing to fault the hotel on. We had a lovely breakfast and I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Really good"

Good welcome service, nice room, excellent hot buffet breakfast. Only thing is can`t fit family of four if you have young children if you go for family weekend without paying for two rooms. Pity, as I would definitely go back when they are with us

"Comfortable and friendly hotel."

The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast excellent, and the room comfortable - I have a back problem, and this is something I notice! Very handily placed behind Victoria train station.

"Convenient to Victoria a great choice for travelers"

Our room was small ut adequate, 2 chairs and usual facilities, coffe (instant only) tea, hot chocolate in the room, safe, good hanging space and lots of room for luggageUsing the shower in the bathroom was a bit of an issue, no hot water after about 15 minutes of running, but then lots of hot water. Difficult to get in and out of the bath, especially as one ges, and hand rail to help not conveniently placed. Bath slopes at the end with the handleNice buffet breakfast with lots of hot and cold choirs, coffee very good.Check in was easy and staff were very helpful. I would stay there again

"clean comfortable quiet but convenient"

friendly staff comfortale hotel only complaint small but did find the way the tables are fitted in in the breakfast area difficult to get in and out of seats without disturbing other guests, also having to request toast seemed unecessary.
