"Hotel well worth visiting!"

Very polite and attentive staff. Shortly after arrival we were asked if we were happy with the room. Unfortunately we were less than happy with the very large picture of Chairman Mao dominating the otherwise very smart red room. We were immediately offered 2 complimentary alternatives. A very pleasant stay in a smart and very well run hotel. Would definitely re-visit.

"convenient location "

Victoria area has lots of decent hotels, this is one but a little more expensive for a pretty standard room with no extra touches. Nice breakfast and checked us in early but tea and coffee not refreshed from previous occupant. Front staff excellent and helpful.

"A wonderful stay at a top class hotel. "

The Rubens was everything we would have expected from a top class hotel. the Service was excellant, from the doorman to the waiters and bar staff nothing was too much trouble. our room was very nice with a huge king size bed and the bathroom and toiletries were very nice too. we couldnt find fault, the breakfast and the service were top class too. well done to everybody concerned. we would definately recommend The Rubens to any of our friends and will certainly use this hotel again.

"Very welcoming and comfortable hotel"

We found all that we needed at the hotel, a very pleasant welcome at reception and a comfortable and well appointed room. The position of the hotel was very convenient for the area of the Palace and the shopping on Regent Street which formed the main part of our visit to London this time. We would not hesitate to book at the Rubens again.

"Treated like royalty"

Despite a short delay checking in when one member of staff could not find the booking (we were seated and given complementary coffee and biscuits while it was sorted out by the lovely Robert), the hotel was excellent. Ideally placed for Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews, the room was lovely and the beds very comfortable. The best part was the treatment by the staff, who were all polite, friendly and helpful. My visit with my sister and cousin was lovely - the doorman said "Do come back next time you are in London", and we certanily would stay there again. I would recommend the Rubens to anyone for a break in London, especailly if visiting the Palace or nearby attractions.

"Excellent position"

The hotel is well placed for the 2 main theatres in victoria, the staff were very freindly and helpful. the room we had was a little on the small side but this is the only minor gripe. The hotel is well placed opposite Buckingham palace and a very easy stroll to the parks around the palace. We saw billy elliot at the victoria thetare which was no more than 5 mins walk from the hotel.

"One of the best hotels I have stayed in"

The Reubens staff absolutely make this one of the best hotels globally (and I have travelled somewhat through the years). Our stay was part of a birthday present for my wife and their customer service went above and beyond. We had a birthday cake delivered to our room, champagne in the bar - all complimentary. The rooms were well appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed with sufficient lighting. Recommended in the very strongest terms. Thank you

Because we had many varied destinations during our stay we choose the Rubens as it was 5 mind walk from Victorias hub of Tube and Bus networks.Staff could not have been more helpful considering this is a very busy hotel.Our room could have been cleaner but overall the smallish room met our needs for a two night stay.

"Very helpful staff. Comfortable stay. Reception lobby is small. Location is excellent. "

Junior Suite rooms needs fridge in the room and should be provided when guests check in. Rooms should be provided with toothbrushes, paste, shaving kit which we had to ask for. Front desk staff is extremely helpful and excellent.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about, all of the staff were polite, attentive, but equally unobtrusive. The food was excellent, the bedrooms clean, smart and tidy. We will definitely visit again.

Staff in Rubens really friendly, room spotless, Usual rip off with bar prices though, claimed that Draught beer was Off at lunchtime (again) Rubens lost out in the end as we were meeting friends and we just went for a drink down the road for the afternoon instead Linda Thompson Falkirk Scotland
