As above. Overall a good experience although I was surprised that a prepaid booking required photo-identity on arrival.

"A GREAT PLACE TO STAY"
Rydges is a good place to stay in Kensington. Convenient to Gloucester Road Tube station. Traditional Hotel with up-to-date rooms, great food and friendly staff. The Hotel has charm without pomp.Convenient for the Royal Albert Hall, V&A museum, Natural History museum and a comfortable walk to Hyde Park Corner and Theatre land.Watch out for the prices in their Polo Bar drinks though. couple of spirit and mixers £24.Full English breakfast is a delight.Looking forward to the next visit.

"Excellent Location But Several Problems"
Can`t fault the location & the staff were friendly enough.The room we had was a Premier Queen room, it was very small & faced inward away from the busy streets so road noise wasn`t a problem.The problem was that all night we could hear a fan noise increasing & decreasing from outside the window. The Air Conditioning in the room was useless.We also had lots of long black hair left in various places in the en-suite & a certain amount in the bed, suggesting that the room & bedding hadn`t been cleaned properly.The day we went to leave we went for an early morning breakfast & walk. As the check out time is 11am we came back to our room at 10am to find the door open & a cleaner already stripping the bed. She soon left after I reminded her that we still had a hour to go !!

The staff is young, helpful and professional. The lobby is spacious with a modern feel. The rooms are fine. A minus: a noisy non operational air conditioning in my room (203) leaving it quite cold.

"A modern, clean and comfortable hotel"
Stayed here for one night and it suited our needs. Great room, with everything you need plus a really convenient location for sightseeing, theatre going, wining and dining. Would have liked breakfast to be included in the price but it wasn`t so we chose to eat at a local patisserie, of which there are plenty to choose from. We would definitely use this hotel again.

"Disappointing "
Asked to change my single room because so small. Only improvement was bathroom bigger after changed. Stayed 5 nights and felt very cramped. Lighting in bathroom very poor. Not good Wifi reception. First room looking over main road and windows banged with wind. Fridge Not working in first room and towels dirty in second. Floors dirty and not once cleaned during my stay! Only positive remark I can say is that staff at reception nice and helpful.

Smart, clean hotel. Excellent customer service. Friendly staff. Comfy rooms. Spitting distance from tube. Breakfast was fantastic and I personally loved the coffee machine in the room. Fresh coffee, perfect.

"Not a four star"
The hotel needs a bit of a revamp, not on par with other 4 Star establishments. The corridor on the lower ground smelled, however the breakfast was good.
