"Family Room on 28th April 2012"

Room was a bit on the small side when the sofa bed was out for the Children but we made do as this was for 1 night only. Breakfast was good. We asked Reception to order us a cab which they did willingly. Unfortunately the private hire cab overcharged us - not the hotels fault but they should be aware of this. We would recommend this to friends and would stay there again as it is in a good location.

Clean and friendly.Tube station approx 10 min walk away. Central London approx 20mins on tube.Limited English breakfast (sausage, scrambled egg and beans).Would recommend.

"Family of three from Wales. Good budget hotel"

We stayed here for one night with our 7 year old daughter, didn`t like the location very much, no where nice to eat except for takeaways, there is a weatherspoons next door but found this to be not very family friendly, too many old men drinking alone. There was a decent breakfast in the hotel but there was one thing that my family and I were not happy with, and that was having to listen to Jeremy Kyle on the tv at the breakfast table! This is something I would never let my 7 year old watch, but had no choice here because the volume was up loud.

"Great for clean, no frills stay."

Good location. Very clean. Excellent, helpful, friendly staff! We had a quad room to share with our 2 children. Plenty of space but small back breaking sofa bed!!! Also rather noisy if you have a room facing the main King Street. On the whole good.

Well run good sized clean comfortable rooms and friendly helpful staff, Breafast basic but very good. Bar Prices and snacks expensive use pub next door if possible.Coming from out of town I would have liked to have been able to reserve car parking but advised I would have to take my chance on the day, unfortunately not a chance I could take so we had to use the Train which made the trip much more expensive and difficult.

Overall our stay at Hammersmith was excellent; only grumble was the things that kept running out at breakfast, ie: milk, no cups/crockery; also toaster could do with updating because you have to put each slice through twice! Apart from these hiccups, our stay was very enjoyable. Thank you.

"Clean and a good base but"

I booked the hotel after reading all the good reports on Trip Adviser, it was clean and a good base but the bed was very uncomfortable. Stayed for 2 nights and both mornings breakfast was chaos, ran out of cutlery and plates and glasses which was a shame as it let the Hotel down.

"Fanatastic value for money"

I stayed in a family room at the Holiday Inn Express Hammersmith and considered the value for money excellent for a London hotel. We were greeted with friendly reception staff. Rooms were fresh, clean and met all requirements. The hotel was surprisingly busy (I say this as there a number of people in the breakfast area in the morning, despite not hearing a murmur all night!). Breakfast was excellent considering the room rate- plentiful with hot and cold choices available. A Wetherspoon`s pub is conveniently situated at the front of the hotel. This provided a family friendly, cost-efficient dinner option for the evening. Ideal if you have young children to consider. Hammersmith Underground is within reasonable walking distance. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

"The hotel was clean and had friendly staff"

The only down side was we had booked a family room which was on the small side. When checking out we were told there were bigger family rooms (probably should have asked earlier)

1] easy to find and near tube station.2] clean and tidy.[looks new].3] breakfast not hectic as some suggested even weekend.4] plenty bars and restaurants around hotel.5] great value for money hotel with pleasant staff.6] only disappointment was lack of staff on hand around reception and bar area.[1 person doing everything!!!!]7] would definately go back when visiting london.

"A good hotel in an excellent location for exploring central London."

We found this hotel provided a good standard of room with en suite shower room, tea and coffee making facilities, large TV and comfortable bed. everywhere was very clean, staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful, breakfast was provided over 3 hours and was plentiful. It was an ideal place to stay for a short break commuting into central London.

"Nitemare at Breakfast"

Breakfast was a shambles not enough staff- ran out of food/cutlery couldn`t cope with a full restraunt, we had to wait ages for the food counter and cutlery to be replenished throuought the Saturday morning, it was a nightmare.

Pretty happy with the hotel. Room a bit squashed for 4 of us and little storage for clothes and belongings. Breakfast ok but some bacon would have been nice.Staff all pleasant, everywhere very clean.No complaints.Handy for underground

"Great for a short break"

Just stayed for a night with my family so 4 in total. Hotel was really clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. When we got the room it was spotless and all made up for the 4 of us. Great proximity to the tube (3 min walk). All in all great place for a base. Kids loved the breakfast. Will definitely stay again.

"Clean, friendly hotel."

An enjoyable one night stay. The room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road and it was quite noisy, however we came prepared with ear plugs. The room itself was spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. This is a great base for exploring London. The only negative was the fact that we had to queue quite a while for breakfast and then had to sit in the lounge with our tray of breakfast on our laps.

Have stayed here a few times now. Hotel is always clean and rooms are functional. If you want pretty location, this is not for you, but it is ideal for the HMV Apollo. Breakfast is always a bit chaotic, but food is reasonable. If you want a good, clean, dependable standard and easy access to the Underground then this is ideal. Safe location. Would definitely use again.

"Reasons for not giving "Excellent""

The toilet refused to flush properly . There was no toilet brush and the bathroom fan did not work.Other than that, our experience at your hotel was excellent, with staff being efficient and polite.
