The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and very willing to meet our request to have our rooms near to one another. The location was brilliant - just across from Hyde Park and a very short walk from the tube. The hotel was spotless and rooms very comfortable if a little small. The downside was the noise. Double -glazed windows are necessary as there was a lot of early morning noise from van deliveries and bin collection from the streets below. Breakfast was great but breakfast time was very busy and we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. I was glad we weren`t visiting in July. Over all, I would certainly use this hotel, because the good points far out weighed the bad ones. Anne.

Room on the 9th floor, almost everything that was required was fine, clean and tidy, duvet cover ripped. cant have been missed making bed (nothing done). Very thin walls, breakfast was a nightmare. So happy not too have paid full price, if i had i would have been seething. Just hope the other rooms were better. Checking in early wasnt a problem which was great. Wouldnt recommend for a romantic weekend/relaxing get away. Great for central london and shopping.

You had to climb over the other person in the bed to get to the bathroom and when you got in there you couldn`t swing a cat. No wardrobe, no drawers, no mini bar. Very poor. Breakfast, what can i say. Thirty people waiting 30mins for room numbers to be called before they could eat. Miserbale looking reception staff the list could go on. I will not be recomending this hotel to anyone.

I also found having to wait for 20 mins for a table for breakfast a poor start to the day. The staff were very good but I dont think I would rush to stay here again.

Also there was no food for Thursday nights stay due to kitchen being closed... I do have to say though that after my complaning, the management were excellent.

Eventually I did persuade them to let me sit at a table for two, they were not busy and other tables remain empty.From this moment on I felt I was on a conveyer belt, as soon as I placed my fork down, my plate was cleared and the next course delivered. - it was far from relaxing!This was repeated at breakfast, when my breakfast was removed before I had finished, whilst I had just placed items on the table whilst I went to the buffet on my return the items had been cleared untouched!

The hotel was fully booked which led to a 15minute wait for breakfast but they apologised & provided tea & coffee while waiting. We also had lunch in the bar area and the food was good, staff pleasant. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Hyde Park is across the road for that early morning stroll. Hotel is well-designed, the staff are most pleasant and helpful and the buffet breakfast is excellent. This is a suberb hotel and good value for the centre of London.
