The Imperial Exmouth

Room and hotel facilities:

The elegant 3* Imperial Exmouth, which opened in 1923, has 57 rooms, many overlooking the gardens or with sea views. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. All have ensuite bathrooms with either bath or shower. Some pet friendly rooms are available, this should be arranged directly with the hotel. The hotel`s restaurant is open for breakfast every morning and also offers lunch and dinner menus. The hotel bar and lounge with views across the gardens and towards the sea is an ideal spot for a relaxing drink at the end of the day or before dinner, on a sunny evening the sun terrace is the perfect to spot to take in the views.

Situated on Exmouth`s esplanade, with views over the South Devon coast and just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Exmouth, the Imperial Hotel is a prominent local landmark. The hotel is 0.3 miles, approximately 5 minutes walk from Exmouth Railway Station and there is also parking available, charged at £6 per night (first come, first serve, non-reservable). Exmouth is known for its sandy beaches and hotel guests can walk through the gardens straight onto the promenade. Visitors looking for an active holiday can ride along the Exe Estuary cycle trail, which runs from Exmouth to Dawlish or walk along stretches of the South West Coastal Path to enjoy the spectacular views. For a day away from the beach the City of Exeter is 20 minutes by train or approximately 30 minutes by car.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Exmouth Railway Station exit right onto Marine Way and then make a slight right again onto Imperial Road/Marine Way. Continue for 0.3 miles and then turn left onto Alexandra Terrace. Turn right onto Beacon Hotel and the hotel will be ahead of you.
BY CAR: Follow the M5 to Exeter and then at junction 30, take the A379/A376 exit to Dawlish/Exeter/Sidmouth/Exmouth/Services. At Sandygate Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Sidmouth Rd/A376 and after 0.4 miles at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Exmouth Rd/A376. After a further 1.8 miles at the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Exmouth Rd/A376. Continue on this route for the next 5.2 miles and then at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Imperial Rd. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Imperial Rd. After a further 0.2 miles turn right onto Alexandra Terrace and the turn left onto Morton Rd, followed by another left onto Esplanade for the hotel.
