"Quality Hotel"

Excellent hotel, staff very polite & professional at all times, the staff made myself and wife feel very welcome, rooms absolutely outstanding and immaculately clean. Hotel standards were very high. Highly recommended.

"Clean, tidy and comfortable ****"

The hotel is approx 15 minute walk away from Kings Cross Underground Station and Leicester Sq & Trafalgar Sq are easy to get too. Oxford St is within walking distance but wear comfortable shoes because it goes on forever! The rooms are modern and comfortable. There was 3 of us in a family room and there was plenty of space. The staff were all lovely and breakfast was very reasonably priced, it cost £13.50 for myself and 2 children and you can help yourself to whatever you like - we all enjoyed a full English.

"Holiday Inn Kings Cross"

Staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was newly refurbished so very nice,bed comfortable bathroom very modern and clean. Facilities at the hotel excellent with a lovely pool, whirlpool,and sauna,we did not use the gym. Would stay again.

"A wonderful hotel for London sightseeing!!"

Although some refurbishment our newly decorated room was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a very good choice of food. Room service also very good. We would definitely stay there again.

"Great stay for our 10th Wedding anniversary."

We had a 3 night stay. Our room was immaculate and must have been recently refurbished. The mattress was so comfortable; we slept better than if we were at home. I am gluten intolerant but this was no problem at breakfast as the staff were very helpful in providing me with alternative options freshly prepared. We didn`t get time to use the pool but it looked very good. We hope to come back to London again and would stay here again. Thank you for making our first visit to London a memorable one.

"lovely hotel, wish I`d remembered our swim clothes"

A great hotel, helpful staff, our room was very nice, we had everything we needed just gutted I forgot about the pool, a pre breakfast swim would have been perfect.

"Very good value for money "

Very nice hotel, helpful staff, fantastic breakfast. Station a good 10 min walk but once there easy to get to all attractions. For a London break would definitely recommend.

Renovations are wonderful. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and the ensuites with the 2showers are amazing. Staff are happy to oblige. The spa facilities are clean and modern, perfect after a long day in London. I will return book. Thank you.

"Lovely refurbished room"

Lots of refurbishment going on . Our refurbished room was fabulous . We had got a meal booked with the Indian restaurant but when we arrived it had shut down . Hotel kindly gave us free breakfast in view of this. Evening meal and breAkfast both lovely

Easy check in, great room, wonderfully comfy bed. Nice shower. Perhaps a little far out for some but we enjoyed the walk down to Covent Garden.

"Very comfortable"

The hotel is in a very good position for the shows and sites of London. Very nice room - comfortable bed. The only negative was the building works that were in progress. Would definitely visit again,

"Great Hotel Lovely staff!"

Well placed hotel - 8-10 mins walk from Russell Square Tube, bus stops to St Pancras and Covent Garden within 2/3 mins walk ...and others I`m sure but these were the two we used. Excellent breakfast - self service but always plenty of choice and always looked freshly cooked. Tea/Coffee from a hot water machine ....prefer a pot but appreciate that this is not likely with self service breakfast! Refurbished family room was cosy when the sofa bed was open but very comfy according to my 11 year old daughter! Bathroom was lovely ...and the mirror that left a clear square area when all around it was steamed up was very clever. Concierge looked after our luggage when we arrived early and when we checked out until we were ready to depart. All in all a great hotel would definitely stay again.

In all the double room is very nice but the air con was not functioning, therefore it made the room extremely hot. Trying to sleep was very difficult.

"Under renovation, no facilities promoted and poor information services provided"

We were disappointed that on our booking in, the receptionist made no attempt to advise us of facilities such as swimming pool, gym, and restaurant that were, allegedly, available. She gave no information as to where these facilities were to be found, similarly no information sheets about these services were provided in our room. Also there were no guidance sheets regarding the controls for the very noisy air-con, which proved to be really annoying during the early hours of the night. We have previously stayed in several different Holiday Inns and service levels provided to us on this occasion must rate as the worse ever.

"Staff coping well with refurbishment"

We visited Holiday Inn Kings Cross while it was being refurbished. The main entrance was partly blocked and not easy to find. However, we were warmly welcomed and the reception process was very pleasant and speedy. We were reminded that we had booked an executive room and that the one allocated had been recently refurbished. It was really very nice indeed with a large comfortable bed plenty of floor space a very comfy couch and a good bathroom. We reported that there appeared to be a leak from the toilet, and a maintenance man came very promptly. Dinner in the hotel was excellent, although we had invited my wife`s sister to join us and she`s a vegetarian and could not find anything to eat in the one vegetarian choice. Breakfast too was excellent, and the staff were very efficient. One caution - the hotel is a good twenty minute walk from King`s Cross Station and there did not appear to be any other facilities in the neighbourhood ie restaurants, pubs etc.

"Unfriendly staff "

Hotel was really clean and well presented. Just a few issues that they need to address like the maids knocking down the door at 8.20 am to clean the room. ( woke the whole family up) also the reception was not very friendly and the walls of the hotel where that thin we could hear the neighbors conversation.

"Unsatisfactory"

Firstly, I want to assure you that I am not a serial complainer and I tend to accept most things in good spirit. The staff were courteous and welcoming and refurbishment of the hotel is being done in a considerate manner to the guests so I have no complaints on either matter. The problems on our stay have been: 1. Blocked toilet. 2. Wet room design does not allow the water from the shower to drain away which results in a constant puddle of water on the floor under the sink. This means that the bathroom is constantly wet and the water then migrated to the bedroom carpet. We had to use our clean towels every day to prevent the carpet from getting ruined. We informed reception and were told that they were aware of these issues. I believe that I am due compensation for our inconvenience and will await your correspondence. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to others and I`ll not use it again.

"Alterations works going on so public rooms noisy - staff seemed indifferent to the client"

A lot of foreign staff some with rather poor English - our room was not serviced after our first night ( we extended our stay) and we had some difficulty being understood by the chambermaid. The breakfast staff didn`t understand teapot. The reception staff were not very friendly. The leisure facilities were nice but there was a surcharge even for hotel guests

Every morning at 09.00 the building work started right above our room until 5pm x rooms stated non smoking could defo smell someone had smoke cigarette near our room also by lift smell of cigerette xx breakfast was lovely and really good service xx wanted to book massage for 4 people on day we arrived told they would ring me never received call back to book as they didnt start till after 11am x rooms very stuffy air flow not good in rooms x hotel building work was never informed of this wgen booking hotel x

"Average accommodation although great breakfast."

The hotel is undergoing an extensive renovation so we did not see it at its best. We stayed in one of the old rooms. It was clean and pleasant although the building works could be heard constantly between 8am and 6pm. The breakfast was great however and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. It`s a 10 minute walk to the station so very convenient.

"Not the best"

We booked this as the photos on the website make the hotel look very nice, in reality it`s ok. It`s a bit of a trek to the nearest tibe station too. The staff are not the most helpful to be honest and the information available is not good, one of the concierge gents was very good but the other gave not much more than a grunt when asked for information. Be aware that everything is extra, the pool, wi fi all comes at a cost which is poor these days. We opted to eat breakfast out as at £14 each (yes really) a family breakfast would have cost us £56 !! The rooms are ok but felt too hot, even with the air con on high and they are small and clostrofobic. Not a hotel I would rush back to and I would not rate it a 4 star.
