Hotel was lovely the beds were super comfy and walking distance to bus stops and underground`s .. only issue was the pool facilities you had to pay £3.50 to use the pool per adult never have I ever had to pay to use the facilities when I`m staying in a hotel.

"Nice room- small but comfortable. "

Amenities were adequate. The staff was attentive but not particularly helpful or good at problem solving. The bed was comfortable and great shower. Rooms are on the smaller size. Location is out of the way- 1 mile walk to most restaurants and theatres and no close tube station.

"Terrible poor service, (NOT cleaners serving staff) no one answers any phones ever! Pool flooded,"

On arrival 12 noon the main entrance was being BLEACH scrubbed? NO breakfast was advised even though i specifically phoned Hotel Direct to confirm it WAS! NO reply to any hotel services from the room. When eventually there was they were liars. Advising me @ 12 noon they would come straight to my room, 8.30.p.m still no one. The pool had been rented out on the Saturday to a group of 9 women who spent the entire day in the Jacuzzi drinking champagne and extremely loud. Sunday morning when i called down at 7.30. a.m. to enquire what time the pool opened i was advised the pool was shut until further notice as it was flooded. There were filthy dirty tiles from the pool water running underneath the jacuzzi. The entrance from the ladies changing room to the pool had been compromised at some time as there were two feet of paint missing off the walls on both sides. The general staff i.e cleaners, waitressing staff were first class. Ruined my whole weekend.

This hotel is very convenient for Kings Cross and we were very impressed with the sit-down shower and the comfort of the room. The hotel was very busy and we did have to wait about 10 minutes both to check in and check out again

"Good Location "

Room and location Excellent. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on day one was very good but went down hill from there with some items unavailable which the staff put down to it being a bank holiday. NOT INTERESTED as the cost of breakfast was still the same Bank Holiday or no Bank Holiday.

Excellent hotel, excelent service the only thing we experienced as a difficulty was we booked a room for three 2 adults and a chlid and the room only catered for two people we needed to request extra pillow and cups although this was sorted immediately. Outstanding choice for breakfast

"Awful customer service!!"

As soon as we arrived we looked for a space to park but it was full which was ok as we didnt expect there to be one left. But on checking a car in the disabled bay we saw that there was no badge displayed. As i am also a blue badge holder i went inside to enquire about the illegally parked car and if they could ask them to move it. To cut a long story short they didnt want to know and said to come back later and it may be free. We tried to explain the law but they didnt seem to understand or care very much. When they realised after 20 minutes of us sitting around they finally came back and said its the managers car and he could park where he wanted. I was fuming and fed up finally he moved it. It still cost £20 so we were not trying to get a freebie or anything. No apologies nothing. A few sly comments from them after aswell. Spoiled my whole experience at the hotel. Would never return!!!

"Superb stay within a superb city"

This hotel offers you everything from excellent rooms in an ideal location, it was perfect for my visit. Only 10 minutes walk from the nearest tube station which takes you right into the heart of the city but the hotel location offers peace and quiet at night. The staff are very helpful and are always willing to help in any way.The rooms are beautiful and have all the facilities you need. Will definitely be returning.

"looked clean untill u look close up"

hotel was nice at first glance but when u look close shelfs were dirty and everty thing u couldnt see was dusty. gyman pool needs updating some tiles loose around pool the lockers in changing rooms only take old £ coins. staff in hotel was really pushy try to sell over priced breakfast and gym

"They knew we were coming!"

Lovely hotel but....We booked a room for three adults. Tea & coffee facilities were supplied for only two, meaning I had to contact housekeeping for additional items. Der! Two mugs were delivered but no tea/coffee/milk etc to go with them. Disappointing as we were informed by Hotels Direct that they had contacted the hotel & confirmed our reservation.

"This Hotel should be 10 stars!!!"

My wife & I stayed only one night and regretted that we didn`t book more! The hotel is super clean, has perfect facilities if your a health fanatic! The gym is well equipped, the swimming pool is warm and the hot tub is super warm & powerful. The rooms are out standing, the staff are so professional and super polite. This hotel left my wife and I completely breathless with enjoyment and complete satisfaction. My wife and I plan to stay again this October.... for longer!!!!

"Robbed within seconds of arriving !"

Situated in an awful low down criminal area, this hotel fell victim to an organised criminal gang. With the main criminal stood right next to me outside their lobby after parking our vehicle immediately in front of their main doors. We locked our vehicle remotely but the professional thief used a soficiated device to block and interrupt the signal to the car, hence he was able to return minute later to steal our entire contents. This was a lovely surprise for my Wife on her Birthday and my daughter losing her priceless photo`s of her school leaving party. The general manager wasted no time at all to shed responsibility from anywhere but the hotel. Firstly telling my 10 year old daughter that we must of forgot to lock the car and then rubbing it in further by saying ` why didn`t you put the luggage in the hotel`. Well if the room was ready when we arrived then we would of. The only mistake we made was choosing this hotel. Awful general manager with awful customer service.

"One night stay at the Crowne Plaza Kings Cross"

Excellent hotel - clean, large comfortable room with two large double beds. We made the most of our overnight stay by spending an actin the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We took a 25 minute walk to the theatres so well placed for anyone visiting to see a show. We woukd highly recommend this hotel.

"Good hotel but breakfast service was poor."

Rooms good and hotel staff were very efficient but at breakfast, there were long queues for a table and some items on the hot food section were cold. Coffee ran out and when we asked for a knife, the member of staff said "try over there" and walked away. Probably will not stay here again.

"Nice hotel to far out from the centre"

The hotel has recently been refurbished so it is nice and clean , breakfast good . It is a 30 Minute walk to oxford street which is £12.50 in a cab . If you have a family like us stay closer this hotel is just too far away from all the sights

"Great hotel"

I always worry when going to a hotel I`ve never been to before but this hotel is great. We were going on the Buckingham palace tour and the staff were very helpful with directions and easiest way to get there. It was around a 10 min walk to kings cross station. We could of walked to kings cross then got a tube to Piccadilly which would of took about 8 mins but it was raining so we got a taki to st James place which to our surprise was only £13 and took around 15 mins. The hotel was very clean. We had lobster for tea which was amazing.

"Poor service"

On arrival the room was good the next day the room wasn`t cleaned They didn`t top up tea milk etc no clean. Towels after us ring twice we had to find a maid to ask and she told us it was anther maid that was surrposed look after our room but was know where to be seen all in all I expected better from a crown Plaza. "Lovely Hotel, in nice quiet location"

Great quiet hotel, although busy, no noise was heard from other guests coming and going. Would definitely recommend and return.

"Avoid the bar! £18 for two drinks!! Oh and breakfast £50 for 3 of us. Visit local eateries."

Clean & smart with helpful staff. The breakfast is not worth the cost and was far from hot. A number of cafes are within easy walking distance and represent better value. Late opening Italian restaurant within 8 minutes walk.

"Really nice every one really helpful."

Rooms was very nice, and as it was my wife birthday we got a nice bottle of wine from the hotel, Belgo restaurant is well worthwhile is a very good addition to the hotel. Only one criticism the way parcels are logged in took two days to find my wife`s birthday present that was sent here.

Booked this for my wife`s 50th. Lovely room hotel also has swimming pool and Jacuzzi which was nice. Its not close to theater land about 30min if you were to walk it . Expensive breakfast £14 pound each but its optional. Best eat out.
