"Lovely break in gorgeous surroundings"

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. All the staff are very polite and helpful. We only eat breakfast in the hotel which was very good and although it was busy we did not have any problems getting a table or being served. The grounds and gardens at the hotel are amazing. We would definately consider staying here again.

The check in process was awful, they had overbooked the hotel by 20 rooms. We booked the hotel as we were attending a wedding there, we could not check in till 5.30pm! 1/2 hour before the reception. The rooms were dirty and very basic - there was no air conditioning and no fans either. In the morning for breakfast the food had run out and we had to wait for ages to get more, even then the food was tasteless. And finally to check out there was long queue. I would not book at this hotel again.

"A good hotel set in magnificent grounds with the Thames nearby"

Good hotel with good facilities (tennis courts, swimming pool, bar, restaurant, etc). Other restaurants and pub nearby. 5 mins from Thames with towpath walks. Breakfast self service with food and service quality a bit patchy though not bad. Handy for station in Windsor to London (just under an hour)

"Amazing hotel in superb surroundings...however"

Had a fantastic short one night stay here and I have to say I loved it. The hotel is simply stunning. Gardens are imaculate and so are thelarge sized rooms. Couple of draw backs though. The staff were really slow to respond to calls from our room to reception. When we arrived, there was only one towel in the bathroom. We called reception for another, but after 1 hour and 30 minutes and 3 phone calls this had still not arrived. Some of the staff did not seemover friendly toward the residents which was a shame. The breakfast was lovely, but a little slow at the buffet area. Although I picked these weaknesses, I will be visiting again very soon!

"Perfect Location"

We had a perfect stay, it was located perfect, we could catch the bus to Windsor, Terminal 5 or London, train station very close no need for a car once you get there. We will most certainly stay again. Rooms very clean and enough space Breakfast was excellent, next time we will try dinner. Welshpool

"Unclean room."

Nice venue. Breakfast good, but certainly not service with a smile. However, our room was sub-standard and reception were not very interested when we reported this as we left. Main light didn`t work, toilet seat was broken, layer of dust around all edges of carpet, some spilt food not cleaned up and a dirty glass with water left in it (presumably from last occupants). We`d definitely not go back.

"Good hotel overall"

Good hotel in nice setting. If staying in south block its a bit of a maze to get to from restaurant or leisure club.

"Wonderful Hotel, will be booking again!"

The hotel is very clean, there are lots of very nice areas to eat/drink, the staff were very helpful and accomodating of little children. The food was lovely (although a little expensive) and the garden/grounds/leisure facilities were brilliant. We will be booking again, thank you.

"Fantastic hotel with spectacular gardens and excellent facilities"

This was my second visit to the Beaumont House Hotel with my 8 year old son and, once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently situated for public transport access to the centre of Windsor and to/ from Heathrow. The hotel grounds are spectacular and, as we were lucky to have good weather, we spent quite a bit of time out in the gardens. The hotel rooms are modern and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, food (both breakfast and bar meals) were of good quality. There is also a good sized swimming pool. I would highly recommend this hotel and I hope to return there again next year.

"OVERALL VERY GOOD "

Slight problem on arrival that the room they allocatted us the bed was broken two wheels missing of the one side, which they quickly changed our room with no hassle but just thought house keeping poor it that should of been picked up on room inspection. And which was worse they gave the room to another person they didn`t complain i surpose , Breakfast sunday morning food was overall good as a buffet style goes but twice the trays ran empty which if it was monitered properly and refilled it woundn`t happened, but overall very peaceful, loverly settings and we would stay there again M J Bennett

"Very noisy"

Breakfast is excellent and the free tea and coffee all over the hotel is very welcome but the hotel is under the flight path which makes a lie in impossible. Also the pillows and linen are disappointing, the rooms aren`t particularly clean and they`re very hot. I`m guessing the hotel caters really well for little children since there were tonnes there which added to the overall level of hotel noise and people getting up early.

"Most of Hotel was conference linked which was unfortunate because catering provision was avg"

Hotel common areas and bars were a little basic and targeted conference people but breakfast was excellent and outside areas and gardens / patio very good. My room was in a poorly decorated and maintained condition with very poor water pressure. The other wing to the hotel has been recently refurbished I understand, but rooms in that part were not made available to ordinary residents. So great potential but some parts poor and worn finishes evident. I would stay again if given better quality room.

"A Three star hotel hiding in a higher rating"

Had a very pleasant stay here this Bank Holiday Weekend. Party consisted of 2 adults and our 3 year old son. After initially having to move rooms due to the first not being set up for a family we stayed in room 227. For a hotel for the masses this does exactly what it says on the tin. Very spacious grounds , very much aimed at the family and adequately comfortable beds and facilities. The queue for Breakfast was expected and well publicised by a traffic light of business system. Food was excellent. I cant comment on the evening meal as we ate out in Windsor (a 5 minute drive) both nights. In conclusion , recommended for a family weekend...not so much for a romantic break and for corporate there are better alternatives.

"Good alternative to London central"

Hotels reception excellent, public rooms, bars etc excellent, pool large and warm, good gym, extensive grounds and tennis courts. Now the negative, restarurant challenged by number of guests wanting breakfast on Sunday, plenty of empty tables not cleared quick enough to get people in. Secondly this a large hotel some rooms are literally miles from reception, through a succesion of corridors and steps akin in places to being in a rabbit warren! even for ground floor room, only to be tackled by the fit and mobile. Upon locating our room it was on the small side but well appointed, nice bathroom etc. But the bed - was very small, 4foot 6" I didn`t realise hotels still used such small beds hence not a great nights sleep as cramped for room. Also the room was very hot would have benefitted from some form of air con. and being a ground floor room not really safe to leave the door open. Apart from these small niggles we enjoyed our stay and would probably visit again.

"Poor quality rooms for the standard rooms"

For £89 per night the standard rooms need a real face lift. The bathrooms are very dated, tiles were missing, shower was slow and awkward to use. The premier inn have better rooms for £20 cheaper. I picked Beaumont house as it looked gorgous and the bedroom on the webite where imaculate and the standard rooms we paid for where nowhere to be seen. If they where I would not have choosen the hotel. very disappointed customer will not be returning.

"Rooms too far from reception - problem when keys did not work (three times)"

Reception staff on Sunday aloof, bar food good but expensive, breakfast food not very hot, odd mix of young children and corporate types, for its rating would have expected a higher service - eg no room service, no daily newspapers, few toiletries, no fridge, no air-conditioning

Reception was the slowest we have ever encountered. The staff seemed more interested in speaking to each other rather than attend to guests. Our room was rather dirty with thick dust on desk/dressing table. Our room in the Old School House, to which we were directed via the stairs, was three floors up - some 70+ stairs. Nobody told us there was a lift, although that, apparently, only went as far as the first floor. In the morning we asked a member of staff where we could get breakfast and were directed to a small room which appeared to be full of children. The food was rather basic and no tongs were provided for bread or pastries. Thick mugs were provided for coffee which had to be taken from a container. We were later told by other guests that there was another restaurant, but too late for us. We felt very let down as the approach to the hotel was beautiful which led us to expect better. Never again.

"Perfect"

We absolutely loved the Beaumont House! The setting was peaceful and beautiful and the facilities were great. We were traveling with our 3 year old son and were very impressed at the way the hotel catered to kids. The pool and the kids room were a big hit with him as was the extensive property to run around. The staff were so helpful and accommodating to our every need. I would give this hotel my highest recommendation and would love to plan another trip there in the future.

"This hotel cannot cater for the amount of guests it accommodates"

You would think if a hotel builds a massive extension it could cater for everyone. The hot water ran out very quickly, massive queues for breakfast and absolutely no chance of getting dinner (better at the Harvester round the corner). This hotel is a `Premier Inn` with facilities.

Breakfast was fantastic but would be improved by having urns of coffee & hot water+tea bags for guests to help themselves rather than wait for staff to serve them. Tea was much too strong (3 teabags in small pot!) so should have been accompanied by pot of hot water. We also found it strange that 2 adjacent bedrooms which we requested for family had 1x6ft bed & the other had 1x 4ft 6in bed - quite a difference! Otherwise it was very pleasant but bedrooms nearer Reception would have to be requested on booking as it can be a very long walk for older people to walk to Restaurant for breakfast.

Upon arrival the hotel had no record of our reservation. The room was booked through a third party internet site so although this was not the hotel`s fault the inital receptionist was rather abrasive in her attitude. The person that took over from her was in contrast very friendly and apologetic. He quickly found a room for us and gave us the key. However upon entering the room we saw that it had not been cleaned since the previous guests. I called reception and was informed that housekeeping would be sent immediately to rectify this and that if we wanted the housekeeper could arrange an alternative room. When she arrived 15 minutes later she was not at all helpful and told us we would just have to wait until the room was cleaned. I do not find this acceptable for a hotel of this standard and would not stay there again.
