"Very helpful staff, nice room, pleased overall"

I was a bit concerned because there are some terrible reviews on Trip Advisor, but we were very pleased overall. Drinks in the bar were expensive, but we had a very nice bar meal there. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, (they ran out of butter for example!) but staff were very pleasant and, considering the size of the hotel, service was good.

"Noisy toilet."

All hotel staff very polite and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable but in the warm weather a little difficult to air as it was on the ground floor and didn`t feel comfortable leaving the door open.

"clean and comfortable with some well presented gardens close to the river Thames"

some small niggles with the hotel that let it down. the hairdryer wasn`t working and the shower was inaffective. The swimming pool needs a jacuzzi / hot tub and a sauna to make it in keeping with other hotels with 4 star. at £65 room only basis it was very good value

"Fantastic weekend. Clean. Family friendly."

Overall a fantastic choice. We`ll return again. Obviously a popular wedding venue, but quiet, family friendly. Milk and cookies popular in the playroom, giving brief respite from a hectic weekend.

"hotel wonderful....BUT............"

The hotel was beautiful and very well maintained. The dinner buffet, on the otherhand was not. The choice of protein was not well planned. We had salty rashers of bacon and steamed sardines. This was considered the meats in an evening dinner buffet. Curried chickpeas were also offered. This is not an acceptible choice of protein. I managed okay, but I did feel that my husband needed more to eat. This poorly planned buffet cost 27 pounds, so it was not priced cheaply. I did speak to the manager and I did complain. He offered to make me chicken, but I didn`t want to wait. It was a shame that this was the only meal we ate at the hotel....maybe others were better, but my grade for this one was a failure. I really felt we were at the Faulty Towers and it must have been a joke.

"Nice place but be prepared to walk far to your room"

I would expect a four star hotel to have bell staff to help a guest haul luggage as far as one might have to go to reach some of the rooms in this facility. It is a nice place, just not very roller bag friendly. Very convenient to Heathrow, but if you follow the recommendations to catch the local bus, find out the name of the stop *prior to* the Bells of Ouseley stop or the driver may go screaming past it and the walk from the next several stops is considerable.

"very good price from hotel direct"

a bit of a decieving website promoting the whitexxxxx but overall a good deal for the price we paid , wouldnt pay the normal tariff as the bed was very small as was the room we had ,the bar area was not very comfortable & the price for drinks was enough for us to not buy anymore

Within the last two years I severely criticised Hotel Direct for an incorrectly rated hotel in London. It was terrible. This Hotel was excellent. Well done Brian Kirby Camborne. Just down the road.

"Nice hotel shame about the leisure facilities"

Really good hotel, just about worth 4* but only cos we got an up grade. The old school section is the best. Resturant and bar a bit expensive. The pool has no sauna and no juccuzi... What is the world coming to?

Enjoyed our stay at the xxxxx xxxxx. Rooms all very clean and well furnished. Only one thing, was the walk from Reception, and the feeling of going to staff accomodation, with narrow passageways! We had a swim, and that was great, again very clean. Staff helpful.

"good hotel but there are a few issues and its out of area"

the hotel was nice and staff freindly but thee are no elevators or even bell boys to take your luggage to your rooms. Is a bit out of the city so getting there is a bit of an issue

"Very good hotel"

Stayed with my wife and 7 year old daughter as it is very convenient for Legoland and Thorpe Park (both less than twenty minutes by car). Hotel meals are expensive, as you would expect for this class of hotel but, there is a Harvester next door, Toby Inn just down the road and Egham`s restaurants and take aways are only two miles away. Beware the restricted times for children in the pool if this is part of the package that attracts. Milk, cookies and movies in the Bears` Club and outdoor kids` activities on the lawn made it areally enjoyable stay for our daughter (and hence us!).

"Excellent"

The only place I`ll use now when working in and around London. The 30 minutes to an hour on the train far outweighs the lottery of staying in London hotels. Excellent all round

"Excellent Customer Service"

This hotel offered excellent customer service from the moment we stepped into reception to checkout. I took my daughter and my 9yr old grandaughter for a girly weekend. The receptionist was a wealth of excellent information. We booked a table at the hotel resturant. My grandaughter was treated like a little princess. A big thank you toall the staff for making my grandaughters birthday treat a weekend to remember.

"Affordable luxury that is an easy commute to London"

Friendly welcome. An immaculately clean and welcoming room that was both stylish and comfortable. This is my second visit as I loved it the first time and I am a very fussy customer.. I will certainly be back. Worth a visit to Windsor, Eton and the Windsor farm shop. I would highly recommend this hotel to you.

"Not bad, but finishing touches missing"

Room was well furnished but quite small. Shower was not very powerful, and toiletries had been skimped on. Breakfast and dinner were both very expensive, although the food was good. Reception staff were a little snooty.

"First class on all counts. A real pleasure!"

A great hotel complex in a beautiful location just an hour from central London. Really friendly staff, great service and good food. Room was excellent and the amenities (gym and pool) modern and clean. We had a five day stay which was a real pleasure. Probably the best recommendation is that I have made a further months worth of bookings whilst I am working in London.

"Decent place to stay but more info would be great!"

The hotel is located in Old Windsor which is a short 3 mile (£8 approx) cab journey from Windor & Eton Central train station. The hotel is very clean and well kept, the rooms are neat and well equipped. We stayed in room 077 which has a shared garden, ideal for smokers. The rooms are of an ok size, if a little on the small side. There is free internet for 30minute sessions which is quite slow or you can pay for high speed unlimited access however information on pricing and hotel amenities were scarce. I don`t know if the hotel reads this but it would be great to have more info about the price of high speed internet, hotel restaurants/bar including menu, and maybe even local maps with details of places of interests, shops etc. Overall though, for the price (£65 special) a very nice place to stay. Oh and o2 users beware, I couldn`t get a signal in the room.
