"First impression - posh, ideal for weekend break as very central and within easy walking distance"

As with most hotels the drinks were rather expensive, £15 for two gin & tonics! We would have eaten in restaurant if we had realised there was a special theatre menu before 7.00pm

"Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff."

I was visiting London with my 12year old great niece. She loved the glamour of all the marble and was happy that, although the hotel was `Grand` she was very comfortable and at ease, as the staffwere so pleasant. Our room was comfortable, although small, and most importantly for me the hotel was blessedly quiet at night. It was wonderful to be so central.

"Noisy neighbours"

The front desk staff were great. The cleaning lady said she would come and clean my room and did not so that was very dissappointing. The neighbours were really noisy on the floor however, when others complained the staff I believe got them to quiet down. Otherwise, amazing location, gorgeous hotel, rooms are spacious.

"Perfect Location"

My daughter and I stayed at The Grand ovenight. We had come to London to go to the Theatre and found the hotel to be in a perfect location for theatres, shopping and walking to landmarks. Room was quite small but (having just been to America, most rooms would seem small) extremely comfortable, shower room was very small but well-designed and tea and coffee available in room. The hotel has a lovely entrance hall, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would have liked to have breakfast included in the price but didn`t find that a problem. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

"Spot on - great value"

I booked 4 rooms on line and was mpressed with the efficiency of e-communications. This was further supported by the excellent reception team who were friendly, efficient and very helpful. This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring London as a whole and the rooms and common areas are spotless. Will definitely return and recommend very highly.

"poor service disappoints....."

The grand is brilliantly situated to enjoy the west end and covent gdns, extremely close to the tube. The grand entrancehad a wow factor that was kept up upon entering through the revolving doors. The barstaff were friendly and polite. My disapointment was the complete lack of quality service annd attention to detail you expect from such a hotel. The staff seemed cold and like they didnt care less, which was a shame as the rooms were good sized and well appointed also. Good staff would turn this ok place into a great place to stay

"The Grand"

What a great location! On the door step is Trafalgar Square and Westminster. The West End is within walking distance. Restaurants and bars in abundance. I was pleasantly surprised with what the hotel had to offer. The room was a fair size for the 3 of us. The decor was tasteful. The room was equipped with a small fridge and microwave. Good power shower and the complimentary toiletries were plentiful! Each floor has a water chiller and complimentary water bottles, which is a nice touch. We`ll definitely be staying here again.

"Staff .lazy at check out when we collected our luggage my daughter was asked to collect it herself"

room good but suprising;y no safe a strange economy when the room had been reburbished to a high standard. Reception was hard to spot on entry into hotel. Reception staff of mixed quality see comment above. My daghter was also not advised to use room key to use lift. A convenient location with well designed rooms but disappoinbting reception.

"Great location. Good value for money."

Overall our stay in this hotel was very good. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel boasts a great location just off Trafalgar Square within easy walking distance of Westminster, Buckingham Palace and the Embankment. The room was very clean, although a little small. There was no bath in the bathroom, only a walk-in shower. Facilities at the hotel were good and included internet access (very useful with underground closures in operation). The only negative point, and it is fairly minor, is that the hotel does not seem to be run by many staff, and when checking-in/checking-out it can get rather busy, although self-service facilities are available which are very easy to use.

"feed back to my stay in the grand hotel,,,,"

I enjoyed my stay,The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and well equiped. Our meal was outstanding ,compliments to the chef, thought breakfast shoud of been included in price of room. allthough I got the room on a dicounted price it was still over hundred pounds for the night. Without the discount breakfast! was still not included, I would not book a room here at full price. Sorry but I feel that I did not get enough value for my money,,

One little thing lower the cost of the drinks a fraction say 50p more people are likely to stay and drink in the hotel if more competative rate apart from that i shall return to the hotel in the future.

"A comfortable stay with a good size room and friendly staff"

Booked at last minute with a discount rate so feared a small room ... however we were pleasantly surprised. A good size room with a comfy bed and powerful shower! The staff were friendly and the hotel had all we needed. The bar is quite pricey (2 drinks cost £20!) and other than it needing more reception staff all was very good! Would stay there again as a base for a London trip.

"Great location would certainly stay again"

Excellent hotel, right in the middle of everything. We went to the Adelphi, just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Hotel entrance is certainly `Grand`, although the bedrooms are more modern and quite small, but comfortable. The only problem was the air conditioning didn`t seem to work so got quite hot. We didn`t use the bar as we had read that the drinks were expensive, and didn`t eat in the hotel so cannot comment. One tip that we picked up, if you are thinking of staying in this hotel and going to the theatre. Park in Trafalgar square car park as recommended by the hotel, get your ticket stamped by the theatre box office, then when you pay for your parking in the machine it will be half price. No one tells you this, it was only by ringing the car park direct that I found out, therefore 19 hours of parking for just £20 a bargain.

The hotel was very nice couldnt really ask for more the location is fantastic. The only problem was the heat!! On our first night the room was so hot it felt like your could hardly breathe although there was aircon it was switched to winter mode so was constantly blowing out even more heat!! finally at 3 in the morning we had enough and reception turned the heating of completly in our room which made it a little better and for our second night they did provide us with a fan. But overalll i would definatly recomend this hotel.
