"GREAT Location + Lovely Hotel"

We were touring so this location couldn`t be beat! The hotel was lovely to look and the rooms quite nice while the staff was friendly and helpful.

"A Shame"

We have stayed at this hotel on several occassions and thought we had found an "Ideal Hotel" Unfortunately,The Grand was a little poor this time. On arrival our room wasn`t ready until after 3pm. When we did manage to book in the studio ( Only available room ) that we had was disappointing. There is a small kitchenette area with a microwave, kettle and a fridge. The plates hadn`t been washed from the previous residents and still had food on them! The shower drain was blocked so we couldn`t shower.I always try and be positive about hotels and give the benefit of the doubt but, this has spoiled it for us. We will try a different hotel next time.

"clean, recently decorated but full of grand features."

this was our second stay at this hotel. my wife and i periodically drive into town and stay the night so we can shop and flop, then go out on the town. parking is a few minutes away of traffalga square. rooms are a good size and decorated well. bathrooms spotless and well maintained. bar a bit pricey but what a great position. breakfast was good to. overall good value for money.

"They had double booked the two rooms."

They arranged alternative accommodation and offered a couple of free weekend nights, but it is still very poor to be double booked and reflects badly on your organisation as they claimed that I should have booked with them directly.

"Central location"

This hotel is a great location for sight seeing it is in the hub of London and beside two underground stations which are a must for getting around London also hotel is ideal for going to Westend shows as we did. Downside to hotel is rooms were cold ! the heating did not work and i had read reviews about this before my visit. The bar is not operated by hotel so getting a late drink or a night cap is not possible and bars in london close up around 1130 and they are strict on this, there are late night bars but not loads and you need to pay cover charge. Overall great location i would rate room 6/10 service was good at front desk also but this hotel is aimed at visiting business people but its a hotel not to be overlooked...

"Basic services in an excellent location"

It is `you get what you pay for`, but even in central London $300 a night for seven nights should ensure good assistance with luggage, and daily room makeup.Hhandicapped access was out of order the entire stay. .The front desk was overworked. Boyd`s restaurant is very expensive with poor service and not quite making it food. Watasumt is excellent. I should hve known that this was a budget price club for young people but nowhere in the reservation process was Club Apartments mentioned

We had a room in the inner part of the hotel which had very little natural light, if we were to stay again we would insist on a outer room. No bath which was a bit dissapointing.

"A well placed, comfortable hotel"

The hotel is ideally placed for museums, theatres, restaurants and shopping. It is close to Charing Cross Mainline and tube stations and there are plentiful buses to take you to other parts of the city. Highly recommended.

"The Bar decor is superb, staff friendly, efficient and customer focussed. "

Room 304 was basic and a lot less than I expected for the rate I paid. I have paid less and had better. If the hotel enjoyed full occupancy at the time I booked then thats fair enough but I wouldnt rebook if that is what you get for your money. No standard complimentary bottled water or biscuits, 2 teabags & 2 coffee sachets for two guests was extreme economical management. Reception staff were terrific, very proffesional and courteous. Breakfast in the Brasserie was dire. Self serve tea & coffee would have been fine had there been hot water in the numerous empty teapots that were on the counter. The £16.00 Egg Benedict was served cold but very quickly changed by the waiting staff. I dont mind paying £17 for a full English Breakfast but this was a very generous average. I would and will reccomend the bar to anyone who will listen but the room was poor and the Breakfast in the Brasserie should be avoided.

Very Convenient location just off Trafalgar Square. Comfy beds. Great Shower. Very quiet room. Only down side was a very inadequate check -in/out area which tended to get very crowded. Overall though a great stay.

It would have read excellent, but a pot of tea brought to your table at breakfast instead of getting hot water from a pot etc, would have been nice!

"The Hotel room was so hot and stuffy we could not sleep . The air conditioning did not work and the "

The air conditioning did not work and the window was screwed shut. When we complained someone came and just switched off the air conditioning . We were advised that the Hotel was in "winter mode" and nothing could be done. I asked to see the manager and was advised that I was speaking to a manager but could not achieve any satisfaction as the bill was prepaid which is nonsense . I was promised a phone call but guess what ,NO CALL. This Hotel is awful and the staff do not give a damn.

Room clean, spacious and comfortable but should be for £178.00 a night. Breakfast is extra and the lack of service in the dining room let the hotel down.

"Room 201 - not a good room"

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions - more than 50 nights - and I would go back again. However, on this occasion the room was not a good one. It overlooked Northumberland Avenue and the secondary double glazing failed to reduce the traffic noise to a comfortable level. This meant that I had a restless night. Also, the bathroom was in need of some maintenance and showed signs of wear and tear. Maybe it was because I was only staying for one night that I got this poor room, as normally I stay up to four nights? I didn`t have time to wait in the queue at reception to make any comments before leaving as I had an appointment in the City at 0900 and there was a tube strike. The really annoying thing was that becuase I had booked at not much notice I paid a premium price to get a room. This asside, As I say I would stay here again as the staff are friendly and the location is just perfect.

"I was not given enough info as to how the system worked but o.k. once it was explained. "

I am used to conventional hotel accommadation and would have appreciated more information in the room as where to get milk, coffee etc instead of going to Tesco. Having used your hotel I may consider doing so again now that I understand how it all works but more pillows would have certainly enhanced our stay. The disabled facilities in the bathroom were excellent and appreciated by my husband who was able to be seated while showering.

"nice hotel and central location"

very good hotel, with access to a lounge area. Room very clean, quiet and practical. However, it was very hot in the room and the chiller did nothing to cool it down. Whilst I was not in the room to look out of the window, there was not much to view as about 2 ft in front you looked straight onto a wall!!! Location was perfect. If I could have done something about the heat and had a better view, I would have given a much better score.
