"Very hot room"

We stayed on a very hot night, with no air conditioning working - and no instructions in the room as to how to make it work. We did have the door out to the balcony open, but obviously with children in the room, didn`t want to take any chances. A great overnight stay though - loved the pool

"Easy reach Paris and Disneyland. Basic rooms."

The hotel is within easy reach of Paris (25 minute drive) and Disneyland Paris. The rooms offer basic facilities. We would have liked tea and coffee making and toiletries - at least some shower gel. The breakfast was average - we have had much better. There was a function being held in the grounds, and we were kept awake by loud thumping noises until 1.00am. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

"Really enjoyed our stay. Brilliant for Euro Disney. "

Free shuttle to metro stop. Only 2 stops from Disney and 6 Euro`s. Lovely swimming pool and spa (if a little chilly water). The room was excellent. We had one grubble which was it was a bit hot and the air conditioning did not work very well. But don`t let that distract from the fact it was just simply lovely. The food for breakfast was great for the kids and us. The restaurant was expensive but... it was like michelin start food in a casual and relaxed environment. They bent over backwards to accomodate the kids requests. Thanks to all who worked there. If you are doing Euro disney or Paris this is as good value for money as you will get.

"Very nice hotel but we were not warned about the loud New Year`s Eve party"

I chose the hotel as a more upmarket hotel as a base for visiting Disneyland. The location was fine, just a short distance from the park and the decor and atmosphere was very pleasant. Unfortunately I didn`t have time to use the pool but it did look nice. My disappointment was that after a long day at the park and the New Year`s fireworks, we returned to the hotel very tired and wanting to sleep but the restaurant was hosting a New Year party with a very loud disco. There was no chance of sleep with the noise so we were forced to wait until after 3am until it finished. If we had been warned about this, we could have chosen a different hotel to meet our needs.

"This hotel is well placed for Disneyland Paris and the Val d`Europe shopping centre."

The only reason that an excellent rating was not given was due the fact the room that we had, 3-4 person apartment with mezzanine bedroom, lacked sufficient storage and was rather basic in its furniture. Having said that the hob and microwave proved to be very useful for in room meals. Contrary to comments of some reviewers the staff were courteous, efficient and friendly. The hotel areas were of a high standard. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The swimming pool was not quite as impressive as the photograph suggests but our 10 year old daughter enjoyed it. The ability to speak a little French certainly helps as you are not in a main tourist location. Once again Hotel Direct have provided us with overall an excellent hotel that represented real value for money and as such enhanced our holiday.

"Fabulous Hotel spoilt by bar staff."

Having read previous reviews was particularly impressed and surprised with greeting , room and high standard of breakfast, and breakfast service in the morning. All staff , chambermaids , reception, and breakfast staff couldn`t have been nicer.Unfortunately second night, was infuriated by the rudeness of bar staff, (3), who completely ignored me for over 10 minutes whilst I sat directly in front of them. Saved a fortune on cost of drinks as couldnt get served. Then sat at a table with dirty drinks in front of us for the whole evening. Soured what would have been a faultless stay. Training and attention to customers comments in this department obviosly an ongoing problem.

"WHO NEEDS DISNEY HOTELS"

Very good hotel with excellent facilities close to A4 at a afraction of the cost of staying in the explorers or Disney Hotels. I would happily stay again and reccommend the hotel to my friends or family.

"Modern, clean and well priced hotel"

Second stay at the Paxton Residence and our stay was a good as the last one. Great facilities, lovely rooms and very affordable. Only very small downside was that our bed, which is made up of two single beds, did not have a matress topper over the joining single mattresses, therefore the sheet over the top pulled the two mattresses together. During the night, this tended to pull very slightly apart. However, had we said something to reception I am sure they would have resolved this, but we decided not to mention it given it was a minor issue, albeit, this did not exist during our first stay.

"Hotel not good for family"

We recently stayed in this hotel. The hotel amenities are average, no in room tea making facilities, breakfast not upto the mark. Staffs are helpful The hotel should provide accurate information to the guests to make informed decision. The travelling from and to the hotel is a big problem. You have to pay 15 euro for 5 minutes drive from the hotel to the nearest railway station. After 9-00pm, you can not get any transport, even a taxi, from the nearest station to the hotel. One night we reached the station at 9-35pm from Paris, there was no bus; No taxi was available; we were left to walk about 2 miles. I have my family with me and we felt halpless and very frightened. At the end I have to request a local chinese restaurant owner for a lift to the hotel from the station. He was very kind. Please do think twice before booking this hotel if you do not have a car. I would hesitate to recommend this hotel for a family.

"Staff not helpfull"

The hotel it self I had no problems with, the rooms were clean and tidy and set to a good standard, how ever the staff were not frendly at all they were not helpfull, especially the staff at the front desk.

"Really a motel for car travelers. Staff functional but not overly welcoming."

The accomodation was clean, bed was comfy, breakfast room oddly positioned, easy access to the station only 1k away. More suited as business traveller as no local tourist information available. Internet not free although a nearby mc donalds does have. Possibly good value for Disney visitors wanting plain accomodation. No marketing of spa facilities and when we asked got a photo copied price list and not that attractively priced.

"Beautiful modern hotel, very clean and well kept, staff helpful & polite."

Delighted we chose to stay at Paxton Residence, a lovely hotel with great facilities, fantastic interior decor and staff that were more than happy to help us with anything we needed. Short walk across to the shops and restaurants via bridge and also 5 minute drive to Euro Disney. Great location for getting about anywhere via either public transport (train across in Bussy St George`s) or hire car as we had. Great value for money, 10 out of 10 from us in all aspects, we will definately be staying there again when we go back in March..... recommend this hotel to anyone,

"Friendly and kind but the receiptionists need to stay calm under pressure ."

The whole hotel was very cleen.Despite this ,when we arrived for breakefast , we were left to find a table for ourselfs.The hotel was very close to disneyland,it has its own minni-bus to take people to the station , where one can connect,with trains,to go to the city. Overall this hotel was spetacular.

"Two family with children under 5."

We found the accomodation, clean spacious, modern and very tidy. The rstraunt and breakfast were great and the staff very helpful, most speaking good english. The free shuttle bus to the train station was really useful. Would have been nice to have cups in the room and maybe tea and coffe making facilities. But will deffo stay again.

Provide towels for swimming, difficult to use internet due to keyboard being different to England.
