"Family Room"

We had a nice stay in London and the Crowne Plaza was very comfortable. We had booked a non smoking family room and on check in everything was fast and efficient. However when we got to the room there were 2 double beds and although a non smoking room the room had obviously been used very recently by smokers. We contacated reception straight away and asked if it was possible to have a family room with 2 single beds for our teenagers but were told that they did not have such rooms? After a little negotiation our room was changed to a less smelly alternative yet !!we still had to be creative with the sleeping arrangements. Breakfast was great and the staff friendly. The concierge very knowledgeable and the location good. We would stay again.

"Excellent hotel in great location"

The location was great, right across the road from Gloucester Rd tube station and only a short walk away from the Natural History Museum. The hotel itself was beautiful, with a spacious lobby with plenty of places to relax. Check-in was speedy and smooth. The room was modern and very spacious, espcially as we were staying with our two children. The room actually had two king size beds, and still space to move around comfortably. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again.

Reception and associated services excellent. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Family room good value for a good nights sleep. Bread rolls to accompany continental and English breakfast please!

" fridge in the room didnt work,would of been good to put our own chilled food/milk in for our stay."

Excellent location for travel via tube opposite hotel,we found this really good especially when with young children.would book again this was our second visit as our daughters were dancing at the Albert Hall and the location was ideal.

"Fantastic Hotel. Great Location. Very good service"

The hotel is very central. Great for both Underground and bus routes. Room very large, clean and comfortable. Works were going on to upgarde the hotel, but never heard any noises. Breakfast fantastic (included in the price for our rate) Concierge very very very helpful. We used the services of Riccardo one more than one occassion. Would highly recommend to use this hotel.

lovely hotel in great area, within walking distance of lots of attractions, Gloucester rd tube station just around the corner,family room excellent as was overall service and especially the breakfast buffet, staff very friendly and helpful,would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again on our next visit.

"Best deal for the price"

Smallish rooms. Bathroom was clean but curtains could have been cleaner. TV did not work but I didn`t go to London to watch TV. I had a room overlooking the square and it was quiet. Overall, for the area and price, I would go back.

"Top class hotel in prime position"

Due to slight delay at checkin the hotel upgraded us to a junior suite for free. payihg for drinks was expensive but yhe room was fabulous with a great sleep

"Excellent Location"

The Holiday Inn Kensington (not to be confused with Holiday Inn Forum) is currently undergoing a major refurbishment but don`t let that put you off. Considering the amount of work being done, it really wasn`t intrusive at all. We were given a room that was not on the main road so was ideal. The room was spacious and the bathroom very clean. Possibly the only gripes being that the basin tap was a bit stiff to turn and the water didn`t drain away very well in the basin. Everything else was very good. All the staff were polite. I requested a couple extra towels from Housekeeping and they were delivered within 5 minutes, so that was excellent. The hotel location was ideal - literally across the road from Gloucester Rd Tube Station (Picadilly Line). A Waitrose and Tesco Express was across the road should you choose not to pay for breakfast in the hotel.

"The place is being renovated, dust everywhere, no air conditioning in room"

This is not what we were expecting of a holiday inn (shortly to become a crowne plaza). It is undergoing extensive renovation and although we couldn`t hear the noise in our room, it did impact on our stay. We were on the fifth floor, so you can imagine our dismay when the only lift was out of order on Tuesday night. Just as well we could all manage the stairs. The air con in the room didn`t work, four people in one room need more than an inch of open window. Also, if I book a room for four people I expect four bath towels, not two! Go for a real holiday inn, during our stay we were mistakenly driven to the holiday inn across the road twice by london cabbies. Maybe that was a sign we should have heeded.

The hotel was superb, it was clean and spacious, the children myself and my husband were really pleased with the room and all its facuilites, It was located centrally to where we needed to be, the staff were always at hand to help, I would book to come again,

"Great service, great location, rooms were fine"

My family and I satyed here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in London, location was superb and ideally situated by Gloucester Road tube. The rooms were well equipped although extremelt hot during the night. The building work had no effect on our stay and the service all the staff provided was excellent. We only ate breakfast as it was far more easier for us to eat out due to the location but, what food we had was first class. would stay again.

Good clean and modern rooms overall - bathrooms clean & toiletries fine. Breakfast very nice. Staff friendly. No info given at reception upon checking in but on asking staff were friendly and informative. Lift situation poor but this is due to the fact that most of reception was blocked off for renovation.

On arrival all staff where helpful, happy and friendly. Fast check in. In our family room we had 2 double beds and a lovely clean bathroom. After seeing the sites (good location) we all had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely, staff very attentive, lots of choice too. Definately go back. S. Tushingham Andover

"Great hotel, great location, great room but in the middle of refurbishment ."

Great hotel, great location, great family room but in the middle of refurbishment - and both lifts were not working and we were on the top floor. Lucky we did not have much luggage to bring down but someone with alot of luggage would not be happy. However - have been there 3 times and would go again as I know it will only get better

Only downside was that there was some work being carried out on the reception area making the lift area difficult to access , only one lift working & no access to the garden.
