Enjoyed the hotel, facilites were good. Breakfast was not excellent it was just OK. When I paid upgrade for a view expected a view of the park, did not expect view of Marylebone Police Station. Other than that the hotel was excellent.

"lovely hotel and staff"

We had a great visit with spacious twin room. We unexpectedly traveled with young baby and there was lots of room for cot, pram and all the baby paraphernalia. Room was quiet with little outside noise. Location just off Oxford street was central and yet quiet, perfect for us.

"Nice stay in the end!"

We booked to stay for the New Year in a non-smoking room. When we arrived we were told that the hotel was very busy and would we mind going into a smoking room! We said that we would have a look, the room seemed ok as they had upgraded us apparently so we had a better view! After about 10 minutes though in the room our eyes were streaming, house keeping turned up to put an air fresheners in the room, after 5 squirts of Fabreeze they dis-apeared and we decided to move! The hotel moved us to a smaller room with apparently the same size bed, more a double than a King that was in the previous room. We then went out for a meal, the next morning no hot water, apparently the heat exchanger had broken a few days earlier and they were in the process of repairing it! We had to resort to boiling the kettle for hot water, not what you expect from a hotel of this standard! The water was fixed later that day however and the rest of the stay was problem free.

Delightful and professional staff, very well maintained in terms of cleaniness. Location good to access all the sights. The only down side was that they had a hot water problem which resulted in cold baths or showers. The manager did keep you in the know and was apologetic. In stating this would recommend the hotel fully believing that this was a one off problem that would not normally occur.

"A wonderful new year break"

There were some problems with the hot water while we were at the Churchill, but we were kept well-informed as to progress, and by our second day it was all sorted out. The hotel is luxurious, but still makes you feel comfortable and at home. The staff are wonderful!

"Very Impressed ! Had a lovely stay !"

Stayed overnight with a friend while we had our christmas shopping trip. The hotel is perfect location for shopping on Oxford St and just round the corner from Marble Arch & Bond St Tube stations. The twin room was a good size, very clean and beds very comfy. The breakfast on Sunday morning was beautiful ! I can`t think of anything they didn`t have. All you had to do was ask & this was included in the price. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would stay here again !! Have nothing bad to say. We both thought this was a lovely hotel and well worth the extra money than the slightly cheaper hotels.

"Fabulous Hotel, warm luxurious surrounding, staff could not be more helpful"

I was travelling to the UK with my Mum and my sister for 2 days. The trip was a treat for my Mum who was badly in need of a break after a family illness. The atmosphere in the hotel, with the christmas lights, was super. We ate lunch on both days sitting by the fire. My Mum absolutely loved it. Plan to go back next year again same time. 11 out 10

"standard of cleanliness in the room was disappointing"

We found the bathroom surfaces had not been cleaned properly. Drawers int he bedroom contained previous occupants half eaten snacks etc. Paper that was ordered did not appear although it was provided when we asked at the front desk. Would i choose to stay again? not very likely. Certainly not the four star level the hotel promotes.

"Great p"

A very good botel, ideally located for Oxford Street. Friendly multinational staff and an awesome breakfast buffet. My only criticism is that the hotel was unable to meet my prebooked request for a non smoking room. The smoking floor smelled awful despite the best efforts of an army of housekeepers. Despite this I would certainly stay again.

"Top class hotel in a superb location."

Have stayed at The Churchill on previous occassions and one of our favourite hotels. One minor hiccup - our deal included full english breakfast but it was not explained that we were not able to have this in the room [ which we normally do ] or alternatively we would have to pay FULL price of £25.00 each plus a service charge ! I am used to paying extra for this service but not usually this much. Maybe this feature should be pointed out when bookink. Nevertheless all else was superb.

Excellent hotel. Initally given a smoking room which was changed without hesitation to a non smoking one. The service throughout was really very good and the staff very helpful. The breakfast is to be recommended with a wide choice to suit all tastes. I would be very happy to return to this hotel in the future.

"Excellent location, attentive service and superb variety at breakfast"

We stayed at the Churchill with our daughter who was provided with a comfortable bed in our room. The bedroom was clean and modern with plenty of room for all 3 of us. The Montagu restaurant on the ground floor had a lovely aspect over Portman Square and the breakfasts were superb. The hotel is in a quiet area only about 200 yards from the tube station and Hyde Park with easy access to the city centre on the Central line. The staff were friendly and attentive and, an average Irish coffee at nearly £12 apart, I would very much recommend the hotel.

"Nice Hotel in the Heart of the City"

Room Size was large for European and London Standards. The hotel was clean and in good condition. One of the three elevators was under repair which made the wait long at peak times. The service at breakfast was lousy and the food prices were quite high. There are many good restaurants close to the hotel so eat outside of the hotel. The hotel caters toward the business crowd.

"Not bad, but noisy in he mornings."

Only stayed for 6 nights, but the doors close very loadly due to the locks, making it terribly noisy in the mornings when people leave there rooms or when the cleaners go in and out. Ventilation in the bathrooms is non-existent and water gets all over the flor from the showers. Hard to believe that a supposed 5-star hotel would charge you for internet access at very inflated rates, considering the price of the rooms.
