"Exceptional!!!!"

We needed to find somewhere quite quickly as we had to stop over in London, so we searched online and found the Doubletree by Hilton. It was exceptional value for money, i normally stop in 4 star or above and have to say the hotl staff could not do enough for us, room was large, spacious, breakfast was brilliant!!!

"Nice enough"

Stayed here for 3 nights mid June. It`s very close to Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. The nearest tube station is pimlico which is about a 10 minute walk so it`s just as quick to walk to the sites. Unless you are here during the week, the local pubs are closed of a weekend in this area. Our room was on the 3rd floor, a double room. It was clean, standard size, nothing special. It had a safe that didn`t work and a fridge with nothing in it. The air conditioning was on the coolest setting the whole time and we were both still kicking the quilt off, not very good, glad we didn`t stay when it`s really warm. There is no TV in the rooms, just an iMac, great no problem except the screen isn`t very big especially when your watching the late World Cup games. We had breakfast included in our offer and I`m so glad we did. Really good choice and eat as much as you like and it was nice. Set us up perfectly for the busy day ahead. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a little of the beaten track so after getting of the tube be prepared for a complicated 20 minute walk if you`re lucky or face a £7 taxi ride, the hotel is very nice ,staff can`t do enough to help you and are very pleasant , bar prices reasonable and breakfast was excellent. My only disappointment was when I spent £247 on a room for three I did expect a room that was large enough to fit three beds in rather than a double bed with a very uncomfortable put me up bed which made the room very cramped and not really exceptable.

We only had one night here on our anniversary. Beautifully kept, warm, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely bedroom having plenty of space and all the amenities. All topped off by a gorgeous breakfast! We shall return!

Hotel was very smart, food was good and the staff very polite and helpful. It is perfectly situated for Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace, and only a 10 minute taxi ride from The Royal Albert Hall. We would definitely use it again!

"A thoroughly pleasant experience"

The whole experience from internet booking through to check out was trouble free and very easy. The communication from HotelDirect ensured we had everything we needed and the check in process was quick and without fuss. The room was large and comfortable, rare for a central London Hotel. A large comfortable and proper double bed (not two twins pushed together) with a duvet made for a good night`s sleep. The room was equipped with everything needed including an Apple iMac with Apple TV pre-installed which provided everything from internet access to a wide range of TV and radio channels, a brilliant move. We didn`t eat in the hotel other than breakfast which was delicious and very efficient. Conveniently located across the street from a Boris (Barclays) Bike hire station and a 10 minute walk from Westminster make this a great base to explore London from. Heartily recommended

"Spotlessly clean "

Stayed here for 2 nights in a standard double bedroom. Standard rooms small and basic but spotlessly clean. Construction going on outside the hotel but it didn`t bother us as we were up early for breakfast and then out all day and night sightseeing, enjoying a show(west side story, brilliant) and enjoying London nightlife. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choice. Tip: No queues after 9am onwards. Nearest tube station is pimlico and about a 10 minute walk away, however we found that if you walked past the side of the hotel westminster is only about 15 minutes away if you are fit n healthy. All in all a good base for westminster attractions. If you want to be nearer Leicester square or covent garden I suggest a hotel nearer to there. Would definitely recommend this hotel though.

"Good location"

Unfortunately, last time I stayed here the bed was uncomfortable and it was again. Not sure if it is too hard or if the pillows are like rock. You can change them I am sure but check before you get into bed!

"we enjoyed our stay at the double tree very much"

the double tree hotel was large, airy, bright and modern. the receptionist who booked us in was very welcoming. it was an extremely hot day when we arrived we were drenched. the girl on reception brought us a box of tissues and a very welcomed bottle of cold water each , she made sure we were ok and could not have been more helpful or friendly. our room was adequate in size. it had everything we needed and pleased to say the air conditioning was on and room was lovely and cool. another plus was the ice cubes kept on several floors near the lifts, we certainly needed them. we had a wonderful breakfast each morning the choice was fantastic. there were plenty of staff on duty to tend to everyone`s needs we was not kept waiting for anything The hotel was close to the river and attractions in Westminster also close to Victoria and on a good bus route . I would stay there again.

"Brilliant hotel"

Absolutely first class service & only too happy to help & assist. The rooms very modern but very comfortable. Plus very mod cons within the rooms. Breakfast was outstanding too. Suitable for everyone`s requirements. The only negative & would`ve have given an excellent otherwise were the building works behind the hotel. Woke myself & partner up at 8am. So would`ve have been nice to have abit of a lie in without the sound of machinery going!!!!!

Hotel clean and staff very professional. Rooms a little hot!!! Don`t forget to put out your do not disturb sign on Sunday morning, housekeeping knocking at the door before 9. Fantastic breakfast served until 11am just what you need for a chilled start to the day.

Staff very helpful, Hotel is in a nice position easy to reach by tube either Westminster or Pimlico both about a six minute walk. Close enough to London Eye that its an easy walk that takes you past the Houses of Parliament. Very good facilities in the room and very clean.

Hotel clean. Rooms on the small side and the fridge did not work. Overall good stay although Westminster underground station is more of 15 minute walk rather than the 10 minute as advertised.
