Hello, We sent Mr & Mrs Manuel to your lovely hotel for there Honey moon, I tried to speak to your staff to say why the kids where there and see if they could have a red rose on the table every morning but the staff didn`t understand me and we got cut off so I didn`t phone back. "Great value for money"
Offered great value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were able to check in much earlier than the 2pm check in as the room was ready. Room was very clean but quite small. Had everything that we needed including air conditioning (which was a little noisy and Drippy!) Breakfast was good with lots of choice both on the continental and cooked options. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Old Street tube so is a little of the beaten track, but the hotel is in a very quiet residential area which we felt safe in, even at night. Nearby there are a couple of pubs and which offer good, affordable food and drink. I`d recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for good facilities but who don`t mind being away from the city centre.

Nice and clean. Quiet location. Good choice of food for breakfast. Helpful staff. A lonely walk at night though from the nearest tube station. A little worrying for two middle aged ladies travelling together. Would recommend to friends and family.

myself and my 11 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights, it was a great location in a ok area, we got the tube every day from Old st which was easy access to the Piccadilly line for Piccadilly circus, Covent gardens, Oxford circus etc, takes about 45 mins from the hotel to Piccadilly circus, not a bad journey. The hotel staff were so nice, our first night was very noisy so we asked to be moved the next morning, the lady on the desk was brilliant and we slept like babies the next 2 nights, beds were comfortable and rooms had everything you could need, only thing is i would take my own shower gel next time. Breakfast was amazing, no skimping on quality as they had flora or anchor for toast and the yogurts were Muller not cheap versions, the choices were just fantastic even had someone making ommlettes too, would definitly stay there again

Some initial confusion at registration about `twin` or `double` - we booked `twin` and were given `double` at first but the Manager sorted it out promptly. Room very good, though bathroom rather small. Breakfast very good. Staff coped well with the high season tourist tide. Decoration and cleanliness could not be faulted. Wi-Fi no problem.

The hotel and its facilities are very impressive. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is currently only one working and very slow lift. There was plenty to chose from at breakfast but the waiting time to be seated during busy periods could be very long. There doesn`t seem to be any one managing the breakfast counters. On both mornings I was there they ran out of food and customers where left waiting for items to be replenished. There was meat and vegetarian options but no separate serving spoons/forks.

"No Defcaf Coffee at Breakfast"
2 of us in the group are pregnant so requested decaf coffee at Breakfast however, we were told that they had run out. This meant we could not have a hot drink. When I mentioned this to reception on checking out, they looked into it and there was actually decaf coffee avaialable and we were offered a complementry drink there and then. Just an abservation. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent.

"Good hotel, nice breakfast, disappointing `premium` room"
Clean but a little tired around the edges. We had a Premium Twin room, which was a little disappointing. The website said air conditioning but there was just a ceiling fan. The dustmen called at 5.15am on a Saturday morning, waking us up. The shower head was fixed and too low; I had to stoop (I`m 5`9"). Breakfast was a good buffet and staff were friendly, but the room itself was disappointing, and so we spent very little time in it. If you`re planning on spending time in your room, you may want to look elsewhere. I`m not sure what gave this room `Premium` status.

We have stayed in london many times , this was our first visit using this hotel. I have no complaints about the hotel.our room was clean spacious well decorated with comfortable beds. The best thing was definitely the breakfast, wow, an omelette station, hot pancakes, fresh artisan bread, hot and cold buffet. Great start to the day.i will definitely stay here again when I return in six months.

The hotel was great BUT it seems to be in a residential area a good 25 minute walk from St Paul`s or a 10 pound taxi ride to Covent garden A bit to far away from everything for me !!

Enjoyed our 3 days stay here. The room was lovely and the bathrom was spotlessly clean. Towels changed every day. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room great. Did`nt use jacuzzi or gym. This is indeed a little gem hotel. Would recommend to family and friends. Will come back again. Many thanks Hotel Direct.

Staff are great and our room was very nice. The location leaves a lot to be desired. But if your not out too late I`m sure it`s fine. We did come back from Tube at 11.30 an we were fine.Breakfast was to a very high standard too.

Great hotel but bear in mind that there is quite a lot of tube hopping involved to get there and get to the theatre! Not in a very nice part of town felt uneasy walking back from the tube last night. But cant fault the hotel and the price we paid for it was excellent

i took my girlfriend to londo for a theatre break and we stayed in this hotel after much searching on the internet and certainly made the right choice. very friendly and helpful staff throughout, great bar and lounge area, superb breakfast, clean comfortable room and no negative coments to think of. we will certainly stay there again. thank you xxxxx barbican!!

Although very nice hotel we arrived in our given room to find it already occupied by another guest and upon returning to reception found little in way of apology for their mistake and also had to queue for 10 mins to be seated for breakfast which i didn`t expect from such a large chain hotel. The hotel room itself was on the whole nice although rather basic for a premium room.

Amazing breakfast. Very comfortable room. We used the swimming pool which was lovely except when a screaming child got in, then all the adults left (including us). The mother didn`t seem bothered. It`s quite small and echoey in there. This was a shame because we would have liked to have stayed longer.

Bed was small for a double. A/C very noisy Wet towels and bath use not a great welcome. Fan was a good alternative to A/C, cooling, and little noise. No storage for suitcases. Iron and ironing board storage excellent. Staff friendly and helpful More like a 3* than four*
