"A fantastic hotel in the very heart of London"

This is our third stay at the xxxxx Barbican and the very best! Since our last visit, the hotel appears to have been upgraded and improved. Our room was first class and the staff gave sincere, genuine, excellent throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, despite the hotel being very busy. We were in London for our son`s graduation and this hotel rounded off a great day. Thank you very much indeed. Nick & Gillian Bardsley.

Very pleasant stay,staff friendly,breakfast plentiful+ hot. Pool area clean.Room clean+ bed+ pillow very comfortable,had a good night`s sleep! I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

"Excellent food, good hotel near the centre"

The breakfast at the hotel is excellent with plenty of choice. The staff are helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy, some of the fitted furniture could do with replacing in the room as it looks a bit tatty but this is more of a triviality than anything. The furniture in the main parts of the hotel are good. Despite being in the centre of London, there was little noise. The hotel is a good 10=15 minutes walk from the nearest tube station, but once there you are within easy reach of all the places you can visit in London. Dont get ataxi anywhere as you will be robbed, it cost £15 to travel less then 3 miles!!

Very pleased with hotel. Couldn`t fault it really. Good location, easy walk to tube station, close to all major areas on tube and to St Pancras for train home. Super breakfast with every possible thing could wish for. Comfortable bed, pleasant room. Would go again.

Excellent service. All the staff were so pleasant, kind and always helpful. Nothing seemed like too much bother - very obliging and all served with a smile. Thank you.

Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. Excellent breakfast - quality of food was outstanding and the dining room staff were very efficient and friendly. Reception staff also very good. Would have been excellent rating but only one lift working so wait times were rather long and the voice message on each floor as you went up and down became rather annoying!

Very good hotel, staff very welcoming in all areas and speedily efficient. Had no chance to test out any requests everything was as expected.

"Good location providing easy access to main London attractions. "

Never stayed on this side of London and was pleased the Tube sations where 8/10 minute easy walk away. Hotel has excellent facilities, good well organised breakfast, decent sized rooms. Limited parking was reasonable at £25 per night although we were fortunate to get a space. Would go back as offer price was good value for a centrally located London hotel.

"Lovely hotel, decent location (5 minute walk to nearest tube station)"

My partner and I stayed in the Barbican for 3 nights, reception staff (checked in and out by Vincent) were very friendly, breakfast buffet was very nice, rooms very clean. All in all I would recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking again.

"Very pleasant stay at the xxxxx 4* Rooms"

The hotel was clean, the breakfast choices were excellent, the spa facilities were fantastic, two lifts, one was out of service and the other was intermittent, the walk to the tube was approx 10-15 which could be a bit much for some, overall though I would definitley recommend the xxxxx Barbican

"Cheapest hotel in zone 1 AND good!"

Flats + shops around hotel could be off putting hence cheap hotel price but hotel fine. Free parking right outside after 130pm sat afternoon and Sunday. Friendly staff nice breakfast, left window open on Saturday night and was very quiet outside. Shower good , really difficult to criticise for £! In zone 1 , bit of a walk to the tube but not a pretty walk anyway, just get a cab to the centre with the money you saved on the hotel. Got a cab from near the monument by the Thames and was under £10 on Saturday night. Didn`t look into bus routes but loads nearby. Bar opened until 2am Saturday night which was fully utilized! Friendly bar staff. Planned to use pool and gym but didn`t due to 2am bedtime.....so can`t comment on them. Better than usual TL and PI for same money.

Only stayed one night and really enjoyed it good Irish pub 1 Min walk from hotel swimming pool and hot tub were great the breakfast is to die for everything you could ever want and more 5 min walk from underground and then 10 min in to soho will be returning as long as price stays realistic very good overall Mr and Mrs Mitchell from Kent

"Very clean , one thing the kids did say shame staff didn`t speak better english"

Hello, We sent Mr & Mrs Manuel to your lovely hotel for there Honey moon, I tried to speak to your staff to say why the kids where there and see if they could have a red rose on the table every morning but the staff didn`t understand me and we got cut off so I didn`t phone back. "Great value for money"

Offered great value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were able to check in much earlier than the 2pm check in as the room was ready. Room was very clean but quite small. Had everything that we needed including air conditioning (which was a little noisy and Drippy!) Breakfast was good with lots of choice both on the continental and cooked options. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Old Street tube so is a little of the beaten track, but the hotel is in a very quiet residential area which we felt safe in, even at night. Nearby there are a couple of pubs and which offer good, affordable food and drink. I`d recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for good facilities but who don`t mind being away from the city centre.

Nice and clean. Quiet location. Good choice of food for breakfast. Helpful staff. A lonely walk at night though from the nearest tube station. A little worrying for two middle aged ladies travelling together. Would recommend to friends and family.

myself and my 11 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights, it was a great location in a ok area, we got the tube every day from Old st which was easy access to the Piccadilly line for Piccadilly circus, Covent gardens, Oxford circus etc, takes about 45 mins from the hotel to Piccadilly circus, not a bad journey. The hotel staff were so nice, our first night was very noisy so we asked to be moved the next morning, the lady on the desk was brilliant and we slept like babies the next 2 nights, beds were comfortable and rooms had everything you could need, only thing is i would take my own shower gel next time. Breakfast was amazing, no skimping on quality as they had flora or anchor for toast and the yogurts were Muller not cheap versions, the choices were just fantastic even had someone making ommlettes too, would definitly stay there again

Some initial confusion at registration about `twin` or `double` - we booked `twin` and were given `double` at first but the Manager sorted it out promptly. Room very good, though bathroom rather small. Breakfast very good. Staff coped well with the high season tourist tide. Decoration and cleanliness could not be faulted. Wi-Fi no problem.

The hotel and its facilities are very impressive. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is currently only one working and very slow lift. There was plenty to chose from at breakfast but the waiting time to be seated during busy periods could be very long. There doesn`t seem to be any one managing the breakfast counters. On both mornings I was there they ran out of food and customers where left waiting for items to be replenished. There was meat and vegetarian options but no separate serving spoons/forks.

Good clean rooms,excellent breakfast.beware if using lifts you may have to wait a while for it due to the existing lifts been replaced.overall a very good hotel and would definitely use it again.
