"Scary"
Very dirty, extremely cold in the room. Things falling off and when finally moved to 5th floor room was scared as found stranger objects in my supposed to be `new` room. Very bad experience...

"Not a bad hotel"
Having stayed in many Hotels in London at the same week before Xmas, it is always a matter of price and location. Price and location was excellent. Unfortunately the room we originally was given had an issue but credit where credit is due, the reception staff did everything possible and gave us the choice of 3 other rooms, the room we accepted was obviously refurbished and was comfortable. All in all I would say that this hotel deserves credit for managing our challenges and ensuring our stay was enjoyable.

No space for clothes,no mirror (only in the bathroom) hairdryer cannot be used in the bathroom,with no mirror dryer cannot be used in the room as well.The problems were fixed after 2 days

"Excellence with comfort."
The hotel is modern extremely well fitted. The bathroom a delight. The room spacious and air conditioned and 52" screen TV in the room. Down side was only one chair in a double room? Seems strange that. Plus no mirror at vanity unit yet there was a hair dryer there. Bad planning. Room service could do with improvement it took three requests to get the safe unlocked in the room.

"Dont go to this hotel"
Bathroom to small!! Far to hot a room to sleep in and the fan provided sqeaked and smelt of burning when in use. I slipped in the bath and smashed my back into the sink surround hurting myself becusse the bath is far to small for practical use. Cold stale breakfast and really muddy watery coffee!

"Facilities"
Obviously a busy place as we had to wait a while to book in. Breakfast offer hadnt been included but as I had checked this out with Hotel Direct prior to arrival I was able to say that it was included and the staff member did amend such. Lighting in room was okay but dimmer as bulb not working, staff had to leave ti untilt he next day to sort as their regular bulbs didnt fit but they repsonded with haste to sort. Safe in room waasnt working and again prompt action that provided us with a key to use in the interim. Breakfast time ok but had to search and ask for cutlery and often ran out of food items, but staff were all very polite and helpful about dealing with everything.

"very tired looking and paper thin walls!"
The reception area looks really nice but the rooms look very old and tired. The walls are paper thin so remember to take ear plugs if you`re a light sleeper. Someone turned on our tv in the middle of the night from the next room, very strange! Good location next to two tube stations and Hyde park as well as local shops and restaurants.

We had two rooms, one on the first floor that had been refurbished, one on the third that needed refurbishment. Both were quite small as is normal for London hotels. The first floor room was very hot for the duration and there was no air con, poor for a refurb. The window did open a couple of inches but the room was far too hot. Both rooms had an issue with the plumbing - the system just cant cope during busy periods so the sink, shower and bath take an age to clear water in the morning. Overall, pretty much as expected for a London hotel, basic, hot, small rooms and more expensive than you might expect. The same as many hotels in the same price bracket. We didn`t eat in the hotel, but did use the bar in the late evenings. The bar didn`t have some items you might expect in a bar - fresh orange, cordials.

My son and i arrived at the Central Park Hotel on Monday 18 August, we were welcomed by very helpful and friendly staff, and in the evening, we had a meal in the restaurant, the service was very good and the food was delicious. Our only complaint was that the pillows were not very comfortable, but that was the only thing, Very good, would definitely come again.

Excellent location and very good value. It is in need of room refurbishment and the air conditioning although very welcome barely works. Your staff were very friendly and helpful. Having the baggage facility extended to cover time after we had checked out is very useful as I thought that I would have to deposit our cases at Victoria station.

warm in summer time (no a/c but a small fan). WIFI is free in the lounge, but costs 8 GBP/device/day in the rooms. the hotel is well situated, near bus and tube stations. very close to the park. ok but to be avoided in summertime.

"An OK budget Hotel"
The hotel was very clean and tidy and a good location for getting around, staff were pleasant and friendly, breakfast was plentiful but not a lot of choice, ok if you like rolls, ham and cheese! The room was a bit tired and there was a lack of space to put your clothes. We were there for 6 days but there wasn`t even a tiny drawer so we lived out of the suitcase! The shower was over the bath and I had to limbo down to get under it even though I am only 5ft 2"!! My husband had to help me in and out as the bath was very deep. There was a small (very small) tv on the wall but it could not be seen from the bed as there was an archway dividing the rooms, and there was only one armchair so not a comfy telly watch! For those reasons we would not use the hotel again - sorry Central Park!
