"Most enjoyable stay"

Friendly staff, quiet and comfortable. Thankful for the 63 bus which you can locate right outside Kings Cross Station, otherwise a bit of a hike. Would recommend.

"Room very clean and welcoming"

Room quieter than expected due to the double glazing - very good! Service with a smile - lovey continental breakfast - and was allowed to check in earlier which was a huge bonus as we thought we would have to carry our bags with us whilst we went to the show. Would certainly book again. Tnahk you.

"Good value"

The hotel was 13 minutes walk from the tube. It was good value, given London prices, though the family room was a bit cramped for 4 people. Staff were friendly.

"Nice, comfortable and clean - not a fan of the breakfast or views, but otherwise very good."

The hotel was friendly, good central location, & reasonable parking. Comfy beds and nice pillow choice. Clean & powerful hot showers. Not the best views or breakfast (cold toast and a wait on a Saturday), but otherwise 100% ideal. We would stay again. For central London the price was okay :-)

"clean and comfy at a good price"

was a little out of the center, nearest tube was Russell Square which is at least a 15 min walk or £4.50 in a taxi, we didn`t find this a problem we saved over £100 by stopping here. very helpful staff, family room were quite large with so so comfy beds. continental breakfast was self service, plenty of choice, empty plate replenished very quickly . would defo stop here again so would my kids.

We stayed for 3 nights and can say that we enjoyed it very much. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast each morning and although the options were limited it was still nice. Room service was quick and and food was of good quality. The staff were ok everyone we dealt with was polite and we had no difficulties. We would stay there agian on future short trips.

"Good position, spacious room and value for money in centre of London."

The reasons I have rated good rather than excellent were the room was not ready on arrival at 1.30 so had to go the the matinee perform at the theatre without a chance to freshen up. Our room was spacious with two double beds however we were given a smaoking room which did smell a little. Continental breakfast was adequate but really disorganised with long queues to sit down. The hotel is advertised with a leisure club but you do have to pay for that facility which isnt loads but it is £3.50 per visit. Overall though we all had a lovely nights sleep.

Paid for non smoking room got their late to find we had been allocated a smoking room we where tired had travelled all day and then had to go and sort with reception but we did get a non smoking room. The swimming facilities are wonderful and would recommend these strongly and the staff are so courteous in this area.

A good functional hotel. The continental breakfast was very good value at £3.00 a head as part of our package. I have to say that i was surprised to find the trip would have been cheaper if we had booked direct with the hotel.

"overall, I was disappointed"

The Good: Great Indian themed restaurant - and some of the western menu items have a distinct Indian flair...highly recommend the Firoki burger! Great access to Kings Cross Rail Station Comfortable bed Nice, clean pool and fitness spa area The Bad: black mould in shower in our room Kids are not allowed in pool area after 6:30 pm VERY expensive WiFi service (13 pounds per day!) pay to use the advertised hotel pool (it`s actually a private fitness club located in the basement) The Ugly: General apathy of the staff...with the exception of our bellhop when we arrived, everyone gave the impression that we were putting them out. Front counter staff seemed incompetent - after waiting 30 minutes for a luggage cart to be brought to our room, I had to go down and retrieve it myself...as my cab was waiting. No shuttle service to anywhere

"nothing special just a place to stay"

there are plenty of places to stay i would try other places before i stayed here again, nothing particularly bad about it....just not as nice as other places at the same or cheaper rates.

"As this is rated as a 4 star hotel my expectations of this hotel was much greater than what we got."

problems we incountered where as follows: Understaffed during breakfast as staff could not keep up with demand for tables or demand for toast and hotwater for tea. Room was toosmall for family of 3 After a very early start room was not available on arrival at hotel. Seemed to be poor communication between reception and consieer Some staff where diffiult too understand although friendly. Good points: Rooms where kept clean location was good only 10 minutes from centre of London (Picadilly Circus) Lagguage was well looked after before we got our room and also when we checked out as we didn`t fly home until late evening. Conclusion: All in all expected better for price paid

" xxxxx kings cross"

very nice hotel in a quiet area easy reach is the underground about 12-15 mins away and easy reach of the railway stations to take you home .staff friendly rooms very clean and modern , only one downside queues for the breakfast so bad went out for breakfast and found it as nice at a third of the price and no queues.

"Good location "

The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. Rooms were clean with fresh towels each day. Pool was great for kids and only £1.50. There is a little cafe across the road that does a good breakfast cheap if you don`t want to pay hotel prices

"London trip"

Stayed in hotel before, staff friendly and helpful, easy access to Kings Cross Station, ideal for family, quiet away from main traffic. Overall a good hotel to stay in London

"Extras"

We didn`t realise that the swimming pool etc had to be paid for as extras. The sofa bed was not really ideal for 2 older children or adults for that matter. The room tea, coffee etc didn`t cater for 4 people. It took 4 hours and 3 chases to get an extra cup but no extra teabags despite asking for them. We didn`t chase any more as we were too tired and gave up. Bed pillows were very hard. On the good side the desk, consierge and cleaning staff were excellent.

"Excellent!"

This hotel was very clean, staff hospitable, breakfast lovely. Only gripe was that it was a bit further from King`s Cross than we thought but not too far to walk even with 2 children and bags! Would definitely go back.

"Disappointing"

Having stayed at this hotel a week earlier and experienced problems with TV I was very disappointed to find same problem again, despite asking for this to be addressed several times, without result. After a very long day`s travel from siuth Germany, we aimed to relax after a meal and watch a film that evening. Eventually after repeated complaints and in the face of dis-belief from staff that there could be a problem someone did come to the room - and confirmed the TV was seriously faulty - but explained that nothing could be done until the following day (too late for us). Also we had to sort out the room furniture, which had been left in unsuitable state.

"Smoking Room"

We pre-booked and paid for a non-smoking family room for the night of Saturday 10 July 2010. As we were travelling from France and knew that we would be late (arrival ~10pm), we telephoned from France during the day to confirm that we were on our way. On arrival we were advised that the hotel was overbooked and we had to take what was left ie a smoking room. The receptionist offered to check the availability of non-smoking rooms in other hotels. As we had been travelling all day, this was not a realistic option. None of our party are smokers and we found the room very unpleasant. This disturbed the night`s sleep of our party. We consider that this was not acceptable and would seriously hesitate before booking with you again.

"Excellent service from friendly staff. Great value for money. Clean and comfortable."

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left this hotel, we were dealt with by friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an executive room at no extra charge. Only disappointment is that the use of the pool isn`t included. This is brand new and tasteful but it cost us £10 for a family of 4 to use each time. Plus children can only swim between 8.30am and 6.30pm! Will definitely recommend this hotel though. Parking on site.

"Good Quality Hotel with excellent breakfast. Rooms are a bit tired in need of refreshing"

Good overall break, a nice side of London to stay. Russell Sq and the Britsh Museum was well worth the visit in themselves and also close to Covent Garden.
