Room was very comfortable, hot water, thick towels, good range of toiletries including box of extras-very handy as my husband forgot his razor and lost his comb. Palm Court staff were lovely in particular David, who remembered our breakfast requirements after one day. I have arthritis and David gave me special attention even bringing me a cushiun for my back without making a big thing about it. We booked as a Hidden Gem and it was good value

"Complimentary Room Upgrade"
Hoteldirect`s price couldn`t be beaten, having checked right up to the day of arrival. Rate included the full breakfast which was elegantly served in the Roux restaurant. Upon arrival, we were given a Grand Twin with two Queen beds, beautiful flowers, fruitbowl, sweet delicacies, complimentary water and fabulous Chuan Spa toiletries. The room was enormous with dressing area, plenty of wardrobe space and a lavishly appointed, huge bathroom with walk-in shower, separate roll-top bath, two wash-hand basins, and plenty of towels. Our room was 235, twin-aspect situated on the corner of the hotel two floors above the Roux restaurant. Room was quiet, with plenty of natural daylight. The lighting levels could be easily controlled from either bedside. We were warmly welcomed by all staff; check-in was swift (two hours early). The hotel is certainly not stuffy or flamboyant - it is elegant and understated. I wouldn`t hesitate to book this hotel again through Hoteldirect.

"Luxury hotel"
Fab hotel in a great position for shopping and theatre but far enough out of the way to be quiet. The surroundings were luxurious, the staff couldn`t do enough to help and the buffet breakfast was all you could ask for...and more. Our bedroom was relatively small and a little old fashioned/faded but as we spent minimal time here it wasn`t a problem. The bed as v comfortable with luxury bed linen

Overwhelmed is not a feeling I have frequently. In fact, I can not actually remember how it felt to be overwhelmed until I arrived at the hotel. Firstly, I was so impressed with a courtesy e-mail I had from HotelDirect.co.uk. They told me that they had confirmed my booking via telephone. Informed me at what time and who with. This provided so much reassurance. The staff at the hotel made us feel like royalty. They have the balance just right. There where you need anyone, but otherwise just blending in. The hotel was impressive in any case, right down to the most minute detail. The buffet breakfast was delicious. I can not praise the hotel and staff enough.

What can I say? the perfect place to stay in London. All the staff are so attentive, polite and go the extra mile and made our stay just so memorable. This hotel is for everyone, it isn`t pretentious or stuffy, but warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and the scrambled eggs the best I have ever tasted. The cocktail menu is vast and the staff are only too willing to explain the various spirits and ingredients that go into them. The pool, spa and gym are located in a fairly difficult to find part of the hotel and if you would be wanting to use these facilities a lot, would suggest asking for a room near to them. Booking with Hotel Direct was brilliant and so efficient and would recommend them 100%.

We`re glad we gambled and booked this beautiful 5 star hotel. The hotel was gorgeous and the service was warm and welcoming without a hint of stuffiness. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast (the eggs were sublime), followed by a swim in the pleasant spa area. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to stay. We were upgraded to a Grand room on arrival. The rooms were exceptional with everything you needed for a comfortable stay.The only weakness was the buffet breakfast it lacked the `WOW` factor expected of a five star hotel. The hot section was limited. There was only a choice of two fruit juices. The service was great but the breakfast choice was poor.Having said this the overall impression of the hotel was outstanding.
