"Would stay again "
Over all our four nights stay was good, housekeeping could be better time wise and replacing our used cups, the room a great size, two chairs and table, very quiet even though we were next to underground, clean, good storage space, missing were bed side lights, difficult reading unless main lighting was on. Excellent for location, front of house excellent, breakfast good plenty of choices, restaurant food good however the waiting staff need training, we were served one meal waited over 15 minutes for the other, yes we complained, not acceptable. Saying that we would return.

"It`s as fine for what we paid. "
It was ok but nothing special, but it`s understandable you get what you pay for. It was a place to sleep, we got back to hotel after show and bar was closed at 10.30. breakfast was pretty bad, had to wait for tea, coffee, orange juice and cutlery.

Overall good, but bathroom door didn`t shut, no hair dryer available, no bedside light on one side of the bed, generally needs some TLC and a bit of a revamp and some maintenance.

"Not as good as it seems"
The room was reasonable but the cupboard housing the fridge was wonky and not sealed - fridge very noisy ( their maintenance man said that`s normal noise and if we didn`t like it just to turn it off! The shower was broken although they did fix it later on.

A very dated hotel. Breakfast was carnage Coffee was in metal canisters with plastic cups. We walked out and ate elsewhere. The rooms are clean but very worn. The beds however are very comfortable.

No cups in the room for two tried to use the phone to phone reception for more milk cups and coffee etc but phone did not work when I asked for these items at reception they said they could not give me any, some of the staff were unhelpful train passing at night making a noise we did not know it backed onto the train line,I would not recommend this hotel

Just stayed for one night didn`t find the reception staff that knowledgeable or helpful with the exception of the luggage Porter who was extremely polite and helpful . Drinks tray in room was not very well stocked asked for extra but wasn`t given any. Breakfast was lovely, rooms clean and adequate. Hotel a little far out from theatres and main restaurants but close to public transport eg tube station and bus routes .

This is a terrible hotel. We were advised to check in from 3.00pm and arrived at the hotel at 7.00pm after a very stressful trip to London on the train. We were told our room was not ready. We then needed to rush straight to the theatre and on our return we were told there was no room and then eventually after a lot of stressful discussion we we then given a double room vs a twin which we had paid for. The general experience at the hotel was consistently unacceptable and staff were unhelpful and critical during discussions and did not provide support. Breakfast there was total chaos throughout the environment with too many people and overcrowding in the room and hot breakfast areas and in my clinical opinion there was a high or certain risk of serious injury.

Hotel near to tube station & in a nice area. The hotel itself was good, the room was dated & walls thin so quite noisy plus we were back of hotel where the train line is metres away, you could hear the trains early in the morning. Breakfast was fine & plenty to eat. I would stay again but request a room in the front of hotel

Everything was great clean rooms polite and courteous staff until my husband ordered our last round of drinks.Up until this point each bill had been different, between £23-£29.This round was £36.When my husband queried this he was told the price was correct, we quickly realised we had been given doubles which had not been asked for.This was not a huge problem for us it didn`t really matter,however I strongly object to him being told abruptly and loudly that he had ordered doubles. This attracted the attention of other guests who also questioned why there rounds came to different prices.To sum up this was not my first time in this hotel but will be my last. The behaviour of the staff was both rude and extremely unprofessional.

I purchased a twin room however was put in a double room to begin with. I went back down to reception where I was given another room, which was 2 singles however they were made up as 1 bed. The hotel was very basic.

Hotel was good however neighbours were noisy until early hours and tried to get into the room through the adjourning door. Additionally the emergency telephone was not manned during the night due to staffing issues

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the Staff were excellent but unfortunately the room next door to us had a creaky door inside that would bang shut and whoever was in the room was up until the early hours of the morning in and out of wherever this door was. The creaking and banging was loud enough to keep me awake until the people in the next room eventually decided to go to sleep. The room also backs onto the train line which we wasn`t warned of so you could hear the constant noise of the tubes back and forth.

Rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast a disappointment Cleanliness at breakfast awful, staff clearing the table and wiping with their hand rather than cleaning the table. I asked for a cutlery and I saw the waiter go to other tables to take a folk/knife. Not okay.

"Not a pleasant stay"
A cleaner come to the room at 8am to clean the room whilst still in bed and at 11am whilst in the shower another guest was given a room key to our room to come in and stay and walked in on my in the bathroom, 10 minutes later a cleaner came back to our room and asked us to leave so she can clean the room for a new guess, I went downstairs to talk to the manager he said sorry and would send me a email but never received the email I feel Awful due to a male guest walking in to me in the bathroom and then being harassed by the clearer to hurry up The manager told me to talk to hotel direct and get a refund

"Lovely hotel central to everything you may need in London. "
The hotel was conveniently placed: close to a busy high street but tucked away enough so that you are spared the noise of central London. Good transport links to tourist spots. The hotel itself was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast is definitely worth having as you can eat enough to fuel you for the entire day`s excursions. My only issue was with the central air flow in the room as I couldn`t figure out how to work it and sometimes it got a little too cold for my liking but I wasn`t in the room enough for it to become a problem. I would easily stay here again and would recommend to others.

Would not recommend this hotel, Entrance looks fab until you get in the lift and go to your floor then it looks like a totally different hotel (not in a good way) Location was terrible and the noise levels were really bad as we were situated right above rail tracks. Children were playing up and down the hall outside our room, biking up and down and drawing on the walls with crayon. It was very odd, wouldn`t go back.

Lots of noise all day and night. The rooms were adequate but nothing special. It seemed as though there were families actually living in the hotel, not the cleanest and certainly not quiet and relaxing as we had expected. The buffet breakfast was adequate, plenty choice but the cooked breakfast seemed like it had been stood quite a while. The hotel looked much nicer online than it actually was.

"Housekeeping Plumbing "
During our 2 night stay the toilet kept blocking We reported it to the Housekeeper . It worked for a while But was never really functioning and flushed very slowly It seemed like a repeating problem and serious Health Problem As we left we reported this again at the Front Desk No actisve response

"Very poor service"
From seeing the prison looking building then things went from bad to worse throughout our stay. We booked a standard double so didn`t expect anything fancy. However, the room was boiling and very standard! It really was a double bed even though I`ve seen bigger singles! When we asked for a fan we were told that they didn`t give them out. Although they did put one in our room, maybe because the air con wasn`t working. The bed was actually comfortable and it was clean so I guess that`s the good points. We returned from the show and asked reception if we could get a bottle of water to be told its only for club rooms?!? I mean really a bottle of water, I didn`t expect it for free was going to pay. So had to walk out at 11pm to find an open shop! There was one reasonably close. As for breakfast, we had to ask for our table to be cleaned and to have cutlery. The table wasn`t even sprayed just wiped with a dry cloth onto the floor! Food was ok not the best we`ve had.

"Lovely place to stay"
Great time spent in London. No bar however when we arrived back at the hotel at 22.15 hours just to finish the night off. Lights in the room cannot be controlled from the bed. Breakfast lovely

"Value for money"
The Tara is a clean but basic hotel. Unfortunately the breakfast provision let it down. The tables weren`t cleared and sanitised fast enough, leaving guests searching for somewhere to sit. More staff and better training would rectify this. The Hotel literature and signs said wear masks but this was not enforced for guests or staff which was disappointing.
