"Great friendly staff. Clean contemporary hotel. Fantastic location"

Very helpful and efficient and friendly staff. Great location. Good room even though small. Only downside was very noisy main airconditioning which ran all the time with no facility to switch it off. Noisy even with ear plugs.

"Pleasantly surprised!"

I didn`t know what to expect when I booked a room without any windows! However I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size thanks to reception for upgrading me and also very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower perfect. The breakfast was ok as well. All in all it was a good hotel in a central location!

"Nice modern hotel"

Nice and modern, but the rooms are tiny - not much larger than a king size bed. Nice touch with wine and cheese in the evening.

"The Z Gem"

Can`t rate this hotel highly enough. Yes, the rooms are small but they are pristine and all that you require. The staff are fantastic and so helpful. Cheese and wine from 5-8 pm which is complimentary. A lovely touch. We were so close to Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Covent Garden, Leicester Sq and China Town. Will definitely return.

"Enjoyable "

Friendly greeting, nice atmosphere at reception which was within the food area which was different but nice. Room was nice, it had all we needed. Very comfy bed. Brilliant location.

"Comfortable, Clean, Excellent Staff...Very Hospitable "

Great hotel and an excellent location near to the West End Theatres. Couldn`t fault it for its comfort,cleanliness and staff hospitality. The rooms are on the small size.Better for overnight stays. Bathroom/ shower facilities excellent. Nice large TV.Although there was space to hang clothes, our bedroom lacked wardrobe or cupboard space. Only a stool to sit on .

"Great Little Hotel"

After getting over the surprise of how small the rooms are we started to realize just how good this hotel is, its only a few minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, China Town and Theater Land. They have complimentary Cheese & Wine 5.00 - 8.00 pm, every time we requested coffee or ice cream etc. in the lobby it was complementary. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and best of all the most helpful and happy smiling staff we have ever come across in hotels all over the world. This is one hotel I will go back to time and again.. WELL DONE Z HOTEL PICCADILLY.

"Well situated for central London"

At first I was surprised by the fact that the room was so small, however it was well organised with all you could need. Now I got used to it I could envisage coming back. The breakfast was very good.

The happy hour`s are amazing - a fantastic idea - sitting in the `bistro` style reception was a real treat - safe, free and enchanting atmosphere. All staff very helpful.

"Behind the glass wall, there are no secrets "

The room was just about big enough for two people but it did require a large amount of coordination between the two of us to make sure that we had enough room to get changed etc; There was a distinct lack of hanging space and no drawers in the bedroom area. You really wouldn`t want to stay more than a couple of nights living like this and if you`re claustrophobic you might want to make sure you at least get a room with a window. I`m convinced that the opaque sheeting on the glass panels that separates the bedroom are glued on back to front. If you are in the bathroom you can hardly make out the person in the bedroom; however, the person in the bedroom can hardly help but see everything going on in the bathroom! Just as well the room was equipped with a large, and I mean large, wall mounted TV to avert one`s gaze. The bathroom also had nowhere to hang wet towels. Having said that the staff were great, the place was spotless. The complimentary cheese and wine is a nice touch.

"Z Double Room"

For location & price very good but you have to realise no wardrobe,you have to sit on bed as limited space only thing I didn`t like was that our window looked into a office block and you could see the man sat at his computer very well. It didn`t bother my husband & once we partly closed the blind it was ok. You put your clothes on 6 little poles that are fixed to the wall.

"So central! So convenient for the Heathrow Piccadilly line"

My room 321 was compact & modern and for 3 nights ideal however I travelled alone and would not like to share a room of this size -much too small. They do have however larger rooms for couples. Reception staff very helpful -arrived too late for wine & cheese but was offered a glass of wine to compensate , a nice gesture :-)

"Great location, brilliant for Stopovers"

We were interested in the concept of this hotel & we were not disappointed. Right in the heart of London. The rooms were compact but well laid out & had everything we needed. The staff were all very helpful & extremely friendly. The addition of the complimentary cheese & wine from 5-8pm was a real bonus & it was a lovely social event. We loved the feel of the place & would certainly recommend it for a 1 or 2 night stay

"Compact room"

Our accommodation at the Z Hotel was a basement room with no windows. It was very compact with no wardrobe/dressing table etc but it was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was ideally located for us and we would stay there again if we needed to be in that area of London - although would upgrade to a superior room next time.

"Staff were so friendly and helpful"

The hotel lives up to its description of `modern`; lots of metal and glass. I loved it. My room was tiny, reminded me of a ship`s cabin. But that was all I needed for a one night stay, and to make up for it, the TV was HUGE! I don`t know if other rooms are bigger and more suitable for an extended stay.

"Access to bed and slippery floor"

We were celebrating my wife`s 75th birthday with a night at the theatre, 80 metres away from hotel. This was our first visit to Z hotels, and we were met by cheerful and helpful staff. First impression of room was very smart and clean but very small. The bed took up full width of room and was against the window. Getting in and particularly out of the bed by elderly (which we are) or unfit people (which we are not) proved very difficult and inconvenient especially for the person at the front. It is impossible to get from the back without disturbing the person at the front. In an attempt to do so I slipped on the very slippery floor and hurt my knee and elbow, which is now showing a bruise. Whilst overall scoring a good rating we will not use the hotel for this reason and would not recommend it to others.

"Perfectly packaged for a short stay in the ideal central London location"

First time in a Z Hotel and have to say, although the rooms are small, they are clean and have everything you need for a short 1 or 2 night stay. Reception and check-in was seemless, Fabio was very helpful and also invited us to a FREE wine and cheese tasting between 5 and 8 p.m. Imagine that FREE in London!!! We enjoyed beautiful cheeses, wine, crackers chutney etc. all served by Martina, another member of the Z team who was polite, friendly and helpful. Only there for 1 night but wouldn`t hesitate in staying with Z again next time.

"Ok if you are happy with an exceptionally small room!"

Hotel is in an excellent location and is very modern and clean. The staff are really friendly but the room size was ridiculously small. The first room we were offered didn`t have a window - fortunately they found us another one however it was quite challenging, especially the small double bed with walls on three sides of it - good job we are small people!

"Satisfactory but very small room and no option for twin beds."

The room was clean and well equipped but was very small. The location was ideal as we were going to a show in a local theatre, but the price was high for such a small room.

"average hotel stay"

our stay at the Zhotel in orange street london was not up to par on previous stays in london..this was our first time to this hotel and we were not happy..we were put in the basement were you had to walk through a garage area..the rooms had no wardrobes or drawers to put our clothes just hooks on wall to hang clothes.the rest we had to keep in the case..there was very very poor wifi and phone conections.tv was very poor as well..room was clean but no windows ..when you brought a drink there was a surcharge of 12% this is apparently an option but it is in very small print on the menu..so most people just pay without realising..i pointed all these points out before we left and was told if i booked next year i will get a free upgrade to a room with a view ..we have never really had any reason to moan on any previous trip with you...the only upside was great location
