The double room was very clean and well appointed. However, it was quite small, particularly the bathroom. The location is excellent for our purposes as we travel by bus into the centre and the bus options on Southampton Row are brilliant. The staff in the hotel were very efficient and pleasant. Breakfasts were very good. Callaghans Bar attached to the hotel was dark and depressing. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends but before staying there again I would check if they have larger rooms.

Very clean room and very well situated close to Russell Square tube station but also walking distance to Oxford street Covent Garden and other tourist attractions. Staff at hotel were very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Would rebook this hotel

"Room too small"
We booked a double room with a sofa bed for two 12 Yr olds .-- there was not enough room to move Room too hot - unable to open windows and Air con u/s. the room was only prepared for three (cups / towls etc) Had to use lift ( even to go down one flight) too time consuming -- for ever as one lift was u/s Waited for over an Hr to get secnod course -- evening meal Girls wanted pancakes for breakfast waited ages but were unable to have)--- machine broke £426 for two nights -- Very poor value !!! would not recomend --( or use again)

"A lovely experience. "
A very conveniently located hotel for exploring Central London. A 91 bus from the end of Coram Street takes you to the heart of the West End. The hotel provides excellent all round service with very welcoming and helpful staff. The breakfast is well worth having. We only had one evening meal here and this was reasonably priced and very enjoyable. We shall definitely stay here on our next visit to London.

For a 3 person room only 2 cups were supplied, also not enough milk for more than one cup each. The plumbing was very noisy upon flushing the toilet. Otherwise the room was fine. The sofa bed was comfortable.

The hotel was a 3 star for accommodation, it was a small room for three people (double bed and pull out sofa) and small bathroom but it was OK for what we needed. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the location was brilliant, 1 minute walk to Russel Square tube station plus bonus of a small shopping centre across from the hotel, Would stay here again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Front Desk staff very good. Allowed us to check in an hour early. Overall, Hotel was good. Found it a little scruffy in places, but nothing serious.

For a night`s stay this hotel was fine. All staff were polite and helpful. Bathroom needed updating- looked tired and could have been cleaner. Bedroom was fine- good sized beds. Room too warm at night and air con too noisy to have on. Shane restaurant don`t have vegan alternative ti butter, butthey has soya milk so was able to have a good breakfast. Again if vegetarian sausage has been vegan that would have been great.

Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. But no hairdryer in the room - very odd - and the hotel was very over heated! Also there was rubbish under the deb from the previous occupants.

Breakfast manager was superb he knew it`s was my husbands b day on New Year`s Day and sung happy bday to him with his restaurant staff and a piece of chocolate cake with strawberries and a candle 1st class service

We upgraded to an executive room which was bigger, more luxurious and well worth the £25 a night IHG cardholder upgrade fee. Have to mention concierge Gary who was extremely well informed and always friendly and helpful. This was our third pre-Christmas stay and we will return for a fourth.

"A relaxed and comfortable weekend"
Staff were helpful, the bar was lovely, breakfast efficient and what one would expect. The room was comfortable, just not enough bath/shower products for 3 people (we had a family room and our granddaughter with us).
