A medium size hotel located in a prestigious area of London within easy walking distance of three tube stations. We found the staff both helpful and pleasant. The room, although a little on the small size, was clean had everything required for a short stay with the exception of tea making facilities in the room. This was however, available via room service. The only meals we had in the hotel was breakfast but based on this experience we thought the food was good. We would consider staying at the Westbury again if we were looking for accommodation in the Mayfair area.

"Great Location, a few unresolved problems "

The location of the hotel was excellent. Not quite what I was expecting from a 5 star hotel, I was most surprised that the room did not automatically have tea and coffee making facilities which you would even get in a budget hotel, this had to be requested and paid for separately. On our second night the air conditioning started blowing out hot air, unfortunately they were unable to fix this. They did offer us another room however as we were already in bed and it would have meant packing up all our things we decided to put up with the heat. Also the bathroom sink did not have hot water. On a positive note the staff were very helpful and friendly

Stayed during a theatre break...first time visit so were upgraded to King suite (nice touch). Excellent and attentive service throughout. Breakfast was of a very high standard.

"Westbury hotel"

Very nice hotel, although the standard double room was a little on the small size and I was disappointed in the lack of a seperate shower, only one in the bath! Very good location, walking distance from Piccadilly and Oxford street, even for my wife, who has difficulties walking! Didn`t use room service or mini bar as the price of a small coke was £4 and chips were over £5.

"Sophisticated, elegant, understated."

Arrived on Saturday evening for a one night stay and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a queen to a king size room. The hotel itself is quite beautiful with a stylish decor reminiscent of the Art deco era. The staff were quietly efficient, friendly, polite and helpful and we had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. A very pleasant stay, excellent value for money for a central London hotel.

"Could not get the TV to work and the sink in the Bathroom didn`t drain away properly."

This was a present which I think was very expensive, I know it`s London so you pay more but for the money you couldn`t even make yourself a drink, a normal facility that you even get in a Premier Inn.

"A lot of noise in the room!"

We got a room (very small for 2 people, BTW) in communication with another one. The guest in the other room was listening TV all night despite our request to lower the volume. I requested to change the room, we got a new one but we had to pay an extra 50 pounds per night.

"Beautiful Hotel"

Had a fabulous time at The Westbury for a one night stop-over. Everything was perfect and my only slight negative remark is that the room was very small but completely OK for a one night stay.

A comfortable hotel, helpful staff, particularly the concierge. The atmosphere in the bar was very pleasant & the cocktails were excellent! We had a lovely weekend & the only constructive criticism I have is that the bath in our room was child size, something I hadn`t expected!

"First class"

Everything that one would expect from a top class hotel was delivered. The only slight shortcoming was, because the kitchens were being changed, breakfast, the first morning, was warm rather than hot. Next morning this had been corrected.

"Oh My God it was amazing"

The hotel was a magnificent place to stay, the door men were second to none and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Worth the money

"Location great. Hotel OK."

There`s no doubt the Westbury is in a premium location - right in Mayfair. The rooms are on the compact side, especially if you are used to travel in Asia-Pacific, but this is London, and the bathrooms a bit tired (but adequate). Extras can be expensive, for example internet is not included, is expensive, can only host one device at a time, and in my room, was a bit dodgy.

"Excellent hotel although shame they try and rip you off in the Polo Bar"

We had a fabulous stay at the Westbury, nothing was too much trouble for the staff although we were very disappointed when we (twice) had to send back the same bill (only for 4 drinks) as they had added 2 more drinks onto the bill, we then had to send the bill back again as, and I quote the waitress "oh yes the manager added that drink on" hhmmmmmm

Stayed in the 5 star Westbury Hotel for 2 nights as a 60th birthday present weekend for my Husband, Having enjoyed a weekend stay at the Kingsbury Hall Hotel (4 star), a few months ago, found the Westbury slightly disappointing, smallest hotel room I think I have ever stayed in!! Bathroom was also slightly dated with a peeling bath panel, old tiles and taps. Also disappointing was the fact that there were no tea and coffee making facilites in the room, so any hot beverages were extras! However, on a good note it was quite a charming hotel and we found the staff extremely polite and efficient with nothing too much trouble for them. Breakfast was very good with an excellent choice, and again, the staff were extremely attentive to our needs. Location was great for our theatre evening and shopping, being within walking distance for everything we wanted to do. Not sure we would stay again though.

"Poor service"

The hotel was lovely and met expectations. We had difficulty, however, getting our room cleaned. It took two phone calls and we still didn`t have a clean room until 5 p.m. Disappointing.

A little disappointed that a five star hotel does not have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in the room. £5 a cup of tea seems a little extortionate. Bathroom very small and not as luxurious as we expected. Overall a shade disappointed.

Perfect location, within walking distance to Oxford street, Regent street. Hotel is nice, lobby is great. Rooms are a little dated but that didnt bother us considering the price for the location.

Climate control is wonderful. TV system is very high tech and might be complicated to some people. If internet was offered for free it would be nice gesture. Overall very nice and quite stay.
