Services were good, room clean and tidy but I did find that the towels (not the hand towels) were not suitable for use after I had a bath/shower. They were quite small!!

"Excellent Value For Money"

Great friendly staff, good breakfast, nice clean rooms. Only complaint no hot water early in the morning and duvets could be alittle longer. I am only 5ft 5" and my feet got cold!!

"The hotel was exceptional all staff were very friendly and helpful"

This hotel was lovely it was close enough to the city centre to walk without being right in the middle of everything. All staff were very friendly and helpful. On a negative noteI the pillows were quite hard, and the shower was difficult to work, and a waste of water as the water still came out of the tap and the shower head. However overall our stay was very nice and I would recomend this hotel to anyone travelling to Dublin.

"Good location and friendly staff"

We stayed recently in the Grand Canal Hotel and found it to be just within walking distance of the city centre. The staff were friendly and approchable. The bar was well run and although the food was not of the highest quality it was affordable.

"A Great Place to Stay"

This was an ideal venue for our visit, very close to the airport bus stop, not too far from the town centre and the staff on reception were all very knowledgeable and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Dublin.

"Pleasant, welcoming, convenient with friendly staff"

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions as it is close by to family members. The staff are always pleasant and helpful, the breakfast and bar food good and the rooms and bathroom facilities always clean and tidy. The town is a 15-20 minute walk away, the Dart (railway station close by) and the buses to town are also close by. The hotel also has a car park if we bring our car.

"Lovely Hotel"

The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. In a quiet area but still only a 10-15 min walk into the main shopping/eating areas. Nice rooms and good breakfasts, also really close to the DART so you can take a trip down the coast too. All round good hotel.

"Great location"

The hotel is very easy to find and is in a good location from the city centre, no more than a 10 minute walk to Grafton Street/Trinity College. Check in was very effecient. The rooms were comfortably furnished, we had a twin on the third floor, and included hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Beds were comfy. Good reception on all the TV channels. Plenty of room and shelf space in the bathroom and good water pressure. Breakfast was excellent - cereals, fruit, pastries and a variety of hot options. Plenty of bar facilities (with SKY and setanta) and comfortable communal areas. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would stay again and would recommend to friends visitng Dublin.

"Great hotel and the food was excellent"

Overall the hotel offers everything you would need for your stay and is in a great location not to far from the city centre....The only thing I would say thou is that the towels you provide in the bathroom are on the small size??. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back soon.

"All the staff we encountered where so friendly and in particular the receptionist staff were superb."

When we arrived very tired and hungry, the receptionist could not have been more welcoming. Bombarded with a milion and one questions from me and my travelling companion, she was able to offer her advice and it was apparent she was very knowledgeable about the city. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was always cleaned to a very high standard but perhaps more importantly for two females travelling alone, we felt very secure.

"Perfect."

Clean, efficient, quiet, excellent value for money. I travel frequently all over the globe and can honestly say that this is one of only three places (the others being farmhouse B&B`s near Belfast and Exeter, and I`m keeping them secret!) that I would positively recommend for business or tourism, and intend to use again - everywhere else, from Brisbane to Phoenix, Hyatt to hostel, was a necessary inconvenience, but a night at the Grand Canal was an actual pleasure - I suspect the designers and the owners have stayed there themselves. Dinner service in the Gasworks restaurant was hit-and-miss but the food was honest and unpretentious, and breakfast was perfect.
