nothing special...........rooms are a little basic & very small, but was all we needed for the night anyway & for the money was ok..........full buffet breakfast was quite good.....so overall the hotel was quite good value for money.

Hotel was in a fantastic location and staff were really friendly. The bar was great so no need to be out late at night. Standard twin room was a bit small but clean so not a problem. Would definitely stay again.

Reception staff extremely helpfull,room clean and plenty of drawers and cupboards to but your clothes away, had a lockable safe which is great if you have any valuables, tea/coffee facilities but no biscuits as on website,breakfast was superb and again staff could not have been more helpful,there was works going on in hotel but it was not a problem at all ( even the workmen were really nice ) Had a great couple of days away with my girl friend and I would definitely visit this Hotel again and maybe take my own biscuits! as after having a busy day walking and sight seeing it is nice to come back have a cupa and biscuit and put your feet up .

Although there was a lot of activity in the hotel reception with workmen both on Fri and sat it didn`t affect us very much and the hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was really good and we ate in the hotel on the Friday evening with the theatre menu which was lovely also. The only downside was we were woken at 8.15 on the Saturday morning by the cleaner trying to enter our room. I reported to the hotel management who immediately range housekeeping to complain on our behalf but was too late to stop us being awake. Would definitely return though

Clean and comfortable. Excellent concierge- Chris. A real asset to this hotel. Would definitely stay there again as location is brilliant for access to shopping/ Covent Garden and Euston and Tottenham court tube station. Everything walkable. Although taxi from Euston is only £6.

Reception staff coped well considering very loud building work in that area. Room clean and tidy if small. Breakfast very good.

"Noisy renovations being carried out which we were not informed of at the time of booking."
Due to the renovations (which started at beginning of January, due to be completed during March,- so this was before we booked) it was noisy, disorganised, especially when it came to breakfast, which was very tasteless and chaois. The room was of a poor standard. We would not of booked this if we had known before about the building works. Not happy.

After reading so many negative comment about this hotel I was a little concerned! But I must say a part from all the work going on in the foyer! We had a lovely time! Staff lovely! Room lovely & breakfast great! So we would come back again! Also so central what more could you ask for!

"Staying in a building site "
The hotel was a building site! start with arriving to the hotel, the reception was in the bar, work men everywhere, temporary steps to the second floor and breakfast area. Lifts were slow and small. always a queue to get into a lift. Our room was right next to the lifts which could be heard from the room. The room was not sound proof in the slightest and people talking as they walked past sounded as though they were in the room with us. WE called down to the reception and requested a room change which was granted however between us picking up our suitcase and getting to the lobby the reception staff didn`t know who we had spoken to. They did however give us a second room which was away from the lifts but was dirty, tiered and in needs a big face lift. The breakfast was not much better the hot breakfast was flavourless or dried up. Overall I would never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel ever!

"Renovation had major impact e.g. Drilling at breakfast time"
Room small and in need of brightening. People with disabilities and pushchairs had to climb stairs to get to the lift. Alarms went off during dining because of drilling one suspects. Greedy not to have closed the hotel for renovation to take place. No air on so had windows open which meant considerable traffic noise from Tottenham Court Road.

"Very small pokey room."
I knew building work was going on in the lobby area so that was expected, however my single room was extremely small and pokey, plus there was a lot of noise from outside all through the night (sounded like a boiler - a loud humming noise anyway). Single rooms should not just be an afterthought, a tiny area stuck in a corner. Single travelers deserve better. Many areas of the hotel seemed very unkempt and shabby. Hope the refurbishment work is going to extend into these other areas. Wouldn`t have wanted to stay longer than one night.

The hotel Wed in walking distance for most of London`s sights.the taxi drivers were honest and helpful.staff at the hotel were friendly and polite.the food and choice of restaraunts one open 24hours made excellent food.pricey drinks at the bar local pubs cheaper.would highly recommend the hotel and experience of London we had an amazing time can`t wait for our next visit to London and stay at st Giles.
