"Highly recommended"
The hotel is well located, being near to a number of tube stations and a wide range of decent restaurants. It is also very clean and well maintained. We had a large room with a massive bed and a good bathroom. The staff were helpful and we will certainly stay here again.

"Umm not the best"
We arived to find our room was not great it was very dark and the a/c Made a funny noise every time you turned it on. The room was also it not clean far from it the carpet were disgusting ( room 101) they moved to another room (403) which was light as it had front facing window but it was not much cleaner.

"Excellent value for a London hotel in a main area within reach of Hyde Park."
This hotel offered good clean accommodation in a quiet area within easy access to the underground and pleasant walking to Kensington Palace and Royal Albert Hall Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good with courteousand helpful staff.

"Well Located and value for money"
Not the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in but the room was clean and comfortable, the shower was powerful. Breakfast could have been better. all in all a decent fair priced hotel, I would stay again quite happily.

We spent a weekend in London and stayed here but thankfully spent very little time in our room. The weather was great but this meant that our room was piping hot and uncomfortable to spend time in. It was clean and the breakfast was fine as far as continental breakfasts go. Overall it was adequete for what we wanted

"We`ve stayed at the Troy 3 times now. Would rate it between good and average."
Location - excellent. Price - good for London. Breakfast - adequate. Bedrooms - average to good, the one we had during the last stay was a very good size. Bathroom - clean with cupboard space but shower was poor. Would stay again.

Convenient location for shops, theatres etc. Close to Queensway underground. Clean hotel which provides basic amenities. Shower only luke warm! Breakfast basic but quite sufficient. Generally pleased.

Hotel good as a base, nicely decorated and clean. A bit disappointed with staff as I had read that they were friendly, this was not my experience there was no welcoming smile for us when we arrived. Didn`t spend a great deal of time at the hotel just to sleep really although on the Saturday night we were so tired we came back to the hotel early to get some sleep and there was a party next door which was very loud...... to be fair though it finished at 11pm i think this is the rule in the area as a shop assistant told us it was a restricted area. Over all good, go and enjoy.

"Won`t be back - EVER!"
Staff were ignorant, very unwelcoming, just stared at us when we arrived making us feel uncomfortable and were not helpful at all. Rooms were extremely basic and very small, the bed was hard. Much as this was a low budget hotel, it still wasn`t for free and I certainly won`t be back there ever again. Both myself and my family travel to London quite a few times a year and this is one of the worse hotels we have ever stayed at. The breakfast was also basic but acceptable. All in all there are a lot better and friendlier hotels to stay at than this one.

Well situated within easy reach of London city centre. Comfortable bed, good shower. Would`ve prefered not to have been telephoned at 7 40am but believe it was an accident - not a great start on the day of our silver wedding anniversary! Other than that more than satisfied.

"Superb, well appointed,spotless hotel, great location, lovely breakfast"
We have just spent a couple of days at the Troy Hotel during a theatre trip to London for my husband`s birthday. Situated on a quiet street across from Kensington Gardens, it`s only a few minutes walk from the tube station (3 stops from Oxford Circus) Very welcoming and we had a lovely room kingsize bed and Jacuzzi bath in a spacious room. Breakfast was stated as continental - we expected just rolls and coffee but loads of choice and enough to set you up for the day. We will definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable base in central London.

"Nice and clean"
I found that the hotel met all my needs for a short break in London. the rooms were nice and clean and the hotel was in a great location on the central tube but was still in a quiet area. The breakfast was adequate. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to my family and friends
