In room 210 there was no shaver socket for my husband: he found this to be inconvenient.

"Very satisfied."
My friend and I stayed here in a twin room for 2 nights and were very satisfied. Though the room was quite small, it was very clean. Staff were polite and helpful. The location was great as we were just a few minutes walk from both Tube and bus. Portobello Market and Piccadilly were both very easy to get to. Breakfast was £7 and quite adequate. Would certainly stay there again.

"Good for its price"
Nice and clean rooms, quick staff response (nice staff, too). Breakfast a little bit on the thin side, but fresh. Definitiely recommended if you don`t plan to stay at the hotel too much.

"Good value for London"
Good value at the price I paid for a London Room. Very convenient for Paddington station and walking distance to the Central Line. Only downside was Wifi unworkably slow.

"Half hour free internet then pay"
The room was small but fairly comfortable. Very annoyed that we had to pay additional for Internet. Also we wanted to wash a small bag of clothes but opted not to as they were charging around £40. Any questions we had when calling down to the desk, we were asked to make our way down and speak in person. This made it less relaxing.

Staff excellent. Nicely situated by Paddington Stn. Very Clean. Bar. Street noise would be solved by 2-pane windows (likely heritage rules) Beds varying quality. Great London char.

"Clean and tidy just what you want"
The royal eagle is a clean hotel and quiet with friendly and polite staff who have always been helpful, the breakfast is continental if you want it but don`t worry because it`s in a good area for eating places I would recommend it cheers

"don`t believe everything you read on trip advisor!"
Despite initial reservations due to many poor reviews on trip advisor we were delighted with this hotel. It is modern and clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful. werruinsThe rooms were a little onthe small side but comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Located very close to Paddington station. We felt this was great value for money and would definitely stay here again.

"Very Basic, but served it`s purpose."
Reception very efficient. But returned to the bar after the show @ 10.40 p.m. barman had closed the shutters and was VERY SURLY INDEED. spoilt a great night. 1/2 lights in bedroom did not work. Mains socket in the bathroom?!*!

We enjoyed our stay here room clean and tidy and although we only stayed two night towels where changed daily beds made room cleaned for us coming in from our days sightseeing continental breakfast was very enjoyable and set us up for the day we would definitely come back here staff very helpful and knowledgeable on the underground service and helped us with directions daily.

Good location, clean and tidy, staff very friendly. However, the shower was poor and leaked. The bedroom was small and a little pokey. The bed was tiny for a double and only had one pillow each.

"Basic but good value for money"
Read up on this hotel on Trip Adviser as well as Hotel Direct. Yes the room was very small bit for me was adequate and all I needed. Staff were very friendly and I actually had quite a few good night`s sleep. The hotel is in spitting distance from Padding Station and there are plenty on Cafes and restaurants around plus Hyde Park is a 5 min walk. A good hotel and good value.

"Adequate hotel - but very small rooms"
The Royal Eagle serves it`s purpose but our room was very small with hardly any space to get round the bed. The bathroom / shower was also tiny. If we were large people we would have really struggled to have a shower.

"Really nice Hotel"
Stayed for two nights (room only) Very satisfied with the room and facilities thereof Although the room was by the staff service lift, the staff were considerate quietness whilst going about there duties. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Excellent location for the tubes and buses. Close to restaurants and shops. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly and multi-lingual. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

The room was very small but clean. TV did not work properly and had to pay for wifi. In this day and age there is no excuse for not providing free wifi to hotel guests!

Friendly staff, rooms were somewhat small but thought for the price of the room you should get free wifi. They charge 10 pounds for 24 hours which I thought was rediculous.

"Value for money"
I have rated this hotel as good relating to what it cost per night, I have stayed in far better hotels in London but also payed twice as much or even more, it is in an excellent location just a couple of minutes walk from Paddington Station and though the rooms and en-suites are very small if you are visiting London and like us and only looking for somewhere to get 6 hours sleep before you`re back out it will do the job, the room was clean with coffee making facilities, hair dryer, TV and safe but as I said earlier very small. I would use this hotel again with my mates but not a place to stay if you want a romantic break with your partner.

"Great location by Paddington station meaning easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. "
Rooms were clean; very friendly cleaning staff and reception staff. Room absolutely boiling; couldn`t alter radiator and window wouldn`t stay open. Continental breakfast was fine; some bowls of fresh fruit and yogurts would have improved it. Breakfast staff rather fussy; 3 of us had to sit at tables against a wall and by the draughty fire exit even though there were only a few other people there at the time! Would probably stay again if needing to be in that area.

"Fine for a one or two nights."
Check-in easy, friendly reception staff. Room a bit chilly, especially if you`re a cold bod! - radiator not on. Room small, not much room, but fairly quiet, comfy beds and clean. Bathroom ceramic floor tile loose, could have hurt feet, but tolerated as only staying one night and didn`t want to make a fuss. Staff polite enough when informed on checking-out and acted promptly, No cooked breakfast, you can only upgrade your continental breakfast by adding eggs, cheese. But overall, fairly decent hotel and only a few minutes walk to Paddington tube. Wouldn`t mind staying again.

"Reasonably comfortable, breakfast awful."
The reception staff were always very friendly and helpful. Some of the breakfast staff are bordering on incompetent, and the quality of food was below acceptable standard. Our twin room was small and none too warm for a stay in January, with no means of temperature control.

"Lovely hotel from outside, tiny (but nice) rooms on the inside "
The staff were nearly all very nice and helpful. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights mid-week and had a lovely time. We spent most of our time out of the hotel and only retired to our room to go to bed. The hotel itself appeared clean and well maintained. We didn`t appreciate that the sheets weren`t changed during our stay, they were just re-made over the bed. This was the hotel`s main downfall as far as I am concerned. The size of the rooms (tiny) was expected from other reviews online but we were also not fortunate enough to have a bath in our room or a view of anything but a brick wall.

"No way to come back. The worse 6 nights"
Very small rooms :( no place even to open your suitcase to unpack. Very small bathroom with no care of safety. The breakfast very poor, when the jam is the only thing to serve then we expect better quality not the one we got. I do not think I will choose this hotel again. Also what is shown in the website (the photo) is completely different. Uncomfortable bed. Noisy very easy to hear other people in the above floor. Thank you
