"Good Hotel - Restaurant Unavailable!"

I booked to stay at this hotel specifically because I liked the sound of the restaurant and was looking forward to eating there. Upon arrival I was dissapointed to learn that the restaurant was going to be closed from midday due to being hired out for a wedding reception. If I had been told this I would not haved booked to stay here. Plus when trying to order room service I had to repeat myself so many times to the staff on the phone, please employ an english speaking person at least for the telephone as it`s so frustrating. I won`t be returning to any Ramada hotels as a result of this stay.

"Good value and well situated for the O2 stadium"

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. Room service was very quick and the food was good. The lady who brought ours up was really polite and friendly. The room was comfortable but we did have trouble with the shower which filled up rapidly and the water couldn`t drain away quickly enough. It made getting ready a bit of a chore. Ideal for the O2 stadium -just 2 short tube journeys and excellent for the London Airport. Full English breakfast was excellent. It`s a bit out of the way if you were using it as a base to explore Central London but for a concert at the Dome it`s ideal.

"Was outraged that I had to pay a £30 damage deposit."

Even more outraged that it did not get credited back to my card at checkout. Rather disappointed that all staff appear to be foreign with poor service delivery training.

"Shouldn`t take preauthorisations you should have a choice."

Overall quite a good hotel although the beds are too soft, you cannot turn off the airconditioning and there is not enough shower gel. On a good note, the breakfast is excellent and the staff are very accommodating.

We only stayed for one night but the service we received was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived in the evening and we were in our room within minutes. The room was excellent and I would recommend this hotel, especially if you are going to Excel or the O2.

"TWIN ROOM?"

Nice and clean and comfortable with very nice staff!! Lovely bathroom products and decent facilities, only question mark is how close the twin beds were together, it may as well have been a double!!

"Very Good, Excellent customer service and valur for money"

I paid only a small amount for the 6th floor room with a river view and breakfast and also free parking. Staff were very freindly they evan let me stay 1 hour extra from the checkout time. Only downfall is that the breakfast was cold, e.g eggs, beans, hashbrowns.

Good position, free parking, friendly staff, spacious room and bathroom. Shame that the furniture is stained and looks tired. The shwer moans when in operation and the basin is badly cracked. Sufficient that the bedroom should not have been occupied until the basin had been replaced. Overall, for a London hotel, it features favourably and we would return. Please upgrade the timber furniture in the public areas it again looks down at heel.

Shame that on the morning of our stay the hot water in the Hotel broke down so that all guests had to have cold showers. No notices put up about this and we only found out it was a hotel wide problem when we mentioned it on checking out. Breakfast was good.

"Misleading distance from the O2"

Transport to the O2 is misleading from information on your web site. We expected to get the `docklands railway 3 stops away and simplly, but ound it was a good walk from the Prince Regeant station initially, especially as it was windy and raining. My friend also tripped and fell over a small piece of metal sticking up in the tarmac car park and hurt her knees. A taxi cost us £15 to the O2 and £20 back. It was also difficult to get back as we queued for 45 mins for a taxi. we didn`t wait for the train as we would have had to change at Canning Town and could not be sure of a connecting train to the hotel at that time of night, or the safety of the walk as it is very desolate around that area. Our hotel rom, politeness of the staff and breakfast were all very good and I have no complaints about the hotel itself. However I think you should be more honest about its location and transport issues.

"good clean hotel with decent bedrooms and bathrooms and friendly staff plus free parking."

Enjoyed our stay. Reception staff very amenable in changing our room to one with river view. Excellent room and bathroom and excellent cleaning services. Spent most of our time in central London and tended to stay in all day because of length of journey out to Prince Regent. We would have liked to have been able to return to hotel to freshen up for the evening.

"Excellent value and service"

One of the most confortable beds ever in a hotel. Service was excellent, staff very pleasant, generally hotel was outstandng and breakfast terrific. One slight downside is the location of the hotel for sight seeing, after a few days transiting via DLR and tube we changed to taxi transport. Much more expensive but well worth it. If you stay here, fly to London City Centre airport, it`s just across the bridge. Would definately stay here again.

"Excellent service but check transport"

This hotel provides great value for money. Bedroom quality, restaurant food and staff service all very high standard. Hotel is close to City Airport and Prince Regent Station on DLR, but be prepared for a walk from DLR as there is no shuttle bus and dragging suitcases through the dark Docklands might not appeal!

Further from the city center than we expected. Totally reliant on the DLR which was closed for maintainance all of the weekend we were there. The replacement bus service was not ideal for our weekend break. Instructions for getting there ended at the Prince Regent station and there were no sign posts. Although the hotel is close by we arrived at night and only found our way by chance. The surrounding general area is extremely unnatractive although the river frontage was nice. The hotel itself was clean, pleasant and efficiently modern. Food was good and staff helpful and polite. Dave and Helen Foxen Guernsey, Channel Isles

"Bed was so uncomfortable still awake at 3am! Cleaners! Staff dont speak!"

This was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. The cleaners woke us up at 07.30 even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door! No biscuits to have with early morning tea. We dont often get away on our own and this was a special break which was spoiled by the bed and the staff! We could not reccommend this hotel unless of course you can show us this is not always the case at ramada hotels!? Staff never even said good morning!

"Just one critisisam,"

I would like to see Hotels go just that one step further inmaking simple observations,ie when people book a family room ie children, why o why dont they cater for children on their arrival ,.Why 4 large mugs & only tea coffee, kids dont drink this, and i am sure for a very small outlay-juice,biscuits etc.would be a nice touch upon arrival ! What do you think could be done ? GA.

" Would happily stay there again"

Over all, very good, although some of the cooked items at breakfast had been out on display a while and were hence a bit tough to eat, in particular the black pudding and fried bread.

"Excellent london hotel. Will definately use again."

Excellent staff, professional and helpful (unlike some of the central london hotels I have stayed in). Lovely, clean, spacious rooms. Superb value for money. Excellent full english breakfast, (or a lighter brekkie if you prefer) included in price. A bit `out of the way`, if you need to stay in central london, but only about 20 mins away on the tube! Definatley an excellent standard 4 star hotel. Most definatley recommended.

"Ideal quiet retreat"

Although only there for one night we managed to find rest and relaxation in the bar later on in the evening. Not crowded or noisy which was a blessing after spending the day in a cramped Trade Convention. A nice quiet location away from the hussle of the city

The hotel needs a computer in the lobby to check the internet, the bed was too uncomfortable - you could feel the springs on the bed when sleeping, and an ATM in the lobby would be helpful.

"Staff exc. Room exc but no Sky Sports! Breakfast good but no kippers! Parking exc."

Would have liked to know that restaurant was booked out for function as we had to go to Canary Warf for dinner. The walk between hotel and Prince Regent DLR ok in daylight but poorly lit and a little intimidating later at night ! (I realise this is beyond your control).
