"Very welcoming and good quality room and food"

I have stayed at the MET 3 or 4 times now and have always got lost in the Leeds inner loop system !! This time the staff walked back to our vehicle nearby to help us find the car park . Could you put a simple map and claer direction on the web?

The room and its facilities were very good and the breakfast was excellent. At night, however, it was difficult to sleep - noisy rubbish trucks directly under the window at 10.30 pm. Single glazing meant all other noises from street and traffic were audible.

"The Met, King Street, Leeds"

When we arrived we were greeted by some delightful young women receptionists. They assisted us with our rooms straight away and once we accommodated ourselves in our rooms they were clean, tidy and immaculate. The breakfast was so superb and the staff were so nice and helpful. The City of Leeds is so wonderful, the shopping is great and the night-life was excellent. The hotel was easily accessible and very close to the shopping malls and night-life. Thank you `The Met` for an enjoyable and comfortable stay, if I come back to Leeds, this hotel is number one on my list.

"Dirty Room"

We booked this hotel for our 23rd wedding anniversary as it was where we held our wedding reception. On arrival I was given the key to a room (no. 102) which upon inspection was dirty. The linen was clean but the room looked as though it had not been dusted or any of its surfaces cleaned for a very long time. There were old cup stains, dust, and hair on the table tops. The window sills were thick with black dust and where the tea tray was kept there was thick dust and fluff under the pull out tray! The receptionist was very helpful and apologetic and moved us immediately. The rest of our stay was fine but I would like to say that the hotel rooms are looking dull and dated and would benefit from a makeover. The other disappointing thing was to discover that even for paying guests there was a £10 charge to park in the car park overnight!!!

Refurbishment underway and rooms not refurbished are very tired. Reasonably friendly staff although reception staffed by some glib people who trotted out info a bit like automatons! Towels in room were like sandpaper and not what you`d expect of a 4star hotel.Breakfast pleasant if a little overcooked. Building grand but a bit soulless. Well-placed for station and town. Not as good as some 3 star hotels Ive been to in Leeds so not really worth the money overall.

"Very good breakfast"

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although our double room was quite small, it was very nicely decorated and nice fittings. Ideal central location.

"Have stayed in better 3 star hotels"

Requested no smoking room but allocated one which smelt strongly of smoke. Asked to have no smoking room but had to pay £20 per night extra for contemporary room. This room faced busy road, noise awful on Friday and Saturday nights as no double glazing. Curtain pelmet stained and net curtains looked as if they had not been washed for years. Overall the weekend cost a lot more than I anticipated. Would strongly suggest that you have photos of standard rooms on your website as the only one I saw was of a contemporary room which is misleading.

Really lovely decor and great breakfast. Diffiuclt to get in at 3am. Stood outside ringing the bell for at least 15 mins before a guest let us in. 24 hour bar was also shut and we had to wait 15 mins beofre it was opened by a rather miserable member of staff!

the reception area of the hotel was very inviting and comfortable, the bar area was cosy, it was a shame that there was only one lift in the hotel for use by partons. had I have had a disability I would have found getting into the hotel and its lift very difficult. My room was in need of updating, the paint on the doors had obviously been on for a long time, this I felt let the whole hotel down. someone needs to come up with a better idea for curtains in the shower as there was water all over the floor once I had finished showering. the restaurant was nice I enjoyed breakfast in the surroundings. above all I found the staff friendly and very helpful nothing was too much trouble, although I did take an issue with the bar not taking cash late at night, although I understand why I felt this was a minor problem which could be overcome, hope you find my points useful Charles
