"Excellent location"

Hotel is in the centre of Leeds with every where accesible on foot. The hotel was good. Very friendly staff, nice clean room, and the breakfast was good. Although close to the centre it was nice and quiet at night. only one small critisicm the room was very warm, even without heating on. The hotel had provided a fan and an air cooler for this. On the whole this hotel was good value for money and i would stay there again.

Staff all helpful and for an lder hotel well maintained, only negative point was that the room was very hot , no air circulation.

excellent location with freindly helpful staff, and one of the nicest breakfasts i ever had. We stay in Leeds once a month and have sampled most of the hotels. The Met was a great place to stay and will be our first point of call in future

Breakfast has a wide choice of options all prepared to perfection. Only complaint is the charge for the car park at the hotel

"Problems With Their System Meant I Couldn`t Stay"

When I arrived I was told that due to a technical fault to the system they had overbooked the hotel by 20 persons, myself being one of them, meaning I could not stay. However they had already arranged for me to stay at another hotel down the road from them, offered to call me a taxi and explained it would be no further charge to me. The receptionist was very apologetic and as helpful as possible with giving directions to the other hotel.

"Very comfortable and worth the money "

I booked the Met for my sisters hen night for a party of eight. I was not disapointed and it was just what i waqs looking for. It was very comfortable, in good clean surroundings. The Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxed. I would reccommend anyone to stay here whether business or pleasure.

"Nice Hotel"

The Met was a very nice hotel and very central. Overall we were happy with our stay although there were a few dissapointments. The room was `very` hot and the windows wouldn`t open however there was a large fan in the cupboard which brought welcome relief! Upon arrival there was only a few sheets left on the toilet roll and only a half roll for replacement. At breakfast there was no glasses for juice, plates for toast, bread to toast, cereal bowls or plates for hot breakfast. We had to ask for everything and wait for it all too. We ordered tea and waited an age then was only given a cup of tea not a pot! I thought the breakfast area was badly managed although the breakfast (when we finally had something to eat it off) was very good.

"The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was great."

We found the general ambiance very good and we enjoyed our short stay very much. We would definitely come again. Small concern, we found it hard to understand the receptionist even though we are used to the Yorkshire accent. A little more personal interest and less trotting off the lines might have helped.

"Very Welcoming"

I arrived, and didnt have to wait long at reception, before a very cheery lady booked me in. It seemed like nothing was to much trouble for her. The room was immacualte and everything was spotless. The continental breakfast was very nice and I would definitley book here again!

It was the 3rd time that i`d stayed there and everytime it gets better, excellent attitude by staff. The rooms do not have air-conditioning, but i thought it was a nice thought to leave a good sized fan in every room.......i will definately be staying again!!!!

"Good value "

Stayed in a single room which was very small, however it was well appointed. The view from the window was terrible as it was a room at the rear of the hotel but the breakfast made up for this as it was excellent

"very nice hotel in old building with character in centre of town with modern rooms would stay again"

We booked this hotel for mainly the price that was on offer and were very surprised at how plush it was. Parking was good on site although not many spaces and reasonable at £10 for 24 hours. It is central for town so was great for us and had a good breakfast and friendly staff - all in all a good stay and i would stay again

I found the staff very friendly, the room decor pleasing and although I didn`t have dinner the breakfast I enjoyed. Would definately stay again.

"Could`ve been better but eventually sorted by hotel"

Problems with blocked toilet, no early breakfast despite being ordered otherwise good. Complimentary refreshments given at lunchtime as compensation.

"Old and musty!"

Although the met has had some renovation in the foyer and lounge areas the bedrooms are still way back in the 80`s! There is a constant smell of must and the carpets are old and most things in the hotel are shabby. The breakfast was decent but the waiters were rude and unattentive. The Raddisson is right in the centre of town and a much higher class of hotel for the same money. Also the fire alarm went off at 7am sunday morning and we all had to evacuate, staff told us not to worry this happens quite often!!!! I will not be returning to find out.

"Excellent breakfast, friendly staff"

Criticism is both times we have stayed the chambermaids have started coming into our bedroom on a morning whilst we were still in bed. Limited car parking but the railway car park is quite close by and less expensive.

We arrived at 1pm & tried to book in. They asked us to come back at 2pm as the room was 2.15pm but the room was still unavailable. We had to wait in reception until 2.45 pm to be allowed to chek in and go to our room. The room was very large and suited our needs but needs the decoration updating. The window frames were peeling, marks on walls etc. The hotel was hosting a 6th form party plus a wediing so we were unable to uses the restaurant or bar during our stay but were told that we could order drinks from the hotel foyer. Unfortunately the foyer was full of tipsy 17 & 18 year olds who took over all of the seating even though there was a separate function room for them. Other hotel guests could not get seats or have a quiet drink before retiring to their rooms. The staff were aware of this but choses to take no action. We did have an excellent breakfast the following morning though.

"Untidy"

Got to Hotel and went to a extremely small double bedroom that looked dingy and clostrophobic and small is a single room. Asked to change rooms, had to pay £25 more for upgrade to a room that I would still not consider acceptable. Room was a double and only one lot of towels, no shower cap. Normally stay at the Marriott and will be returning there for future trips. I must say though, I could not fault the service.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at The Met. We had a good time and would come again. The room was lovely and breakfast was great.
