The cleanliness of this hotel was awful, human hairs in the bath, dirty floors being a couple of points.

"Good friendly staff, happy to help."

Arrived early but managed to get booked in. Many thanks for that. It was my wife`s birthday whilst we were away and the room we were given was very nice, thanks to Joanne Ruttle. As said before, staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast was lovely and set you up for the day. A bit of a walk into the city centre approx. 20 minutes, but that was highlighted before so not a major issue. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would visit again.

"Lack of carparking "

The overall experience of hotel was good but we on 4 th floor that looked more like a building site. The catering facilities not greT and the service appalling we waited 1 hr to get our meal and them had to cancel cocktails because they still hadn`t arrived 45 mins after ordering them. Most of the staff were nice but 1 man on reception desk stood out I didn`t get his name but he had ginger hair and was exceptionally helpful . The heating in the room couldn`t be switched down or off even after contacting reception.

"Value For Money Stay"

Good hotel, clean and well positioned for city centre (20 min walk) and Aviva Stadium about 15 mins away, bar is a bit dated lacks atmosphere prod due to the layout, breakfast is good and our deal included it for free, all in all it is as the title says and I would stay again that was my 3rd time so it can`t be that bad!!

"Good location. Helpful and friendly staff"

Booked as an overnight stay. Really good location and excellent bus service into grafton st and the main o`connell st but these areas are also within walking distance if you fancy (about 15 mins). The rooms were comfortable, clean, not fancy but met all the necessary requirements. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was good. Breakfast was good but can`t comment on any other types of food served as we didn`t eat in hotel. Overall, I was happy with the hotel and would book to stay there again as I liked the area and location.

"Great hotel, excellent staff, very comfy rooms in a good location "

Stayed at the Mespil 15-17th Feb with my daughter, check in was easy and hassle free. Room was clean and comfortable with all you could need including, iron, hair dryer and tea / coffee facilities. 10 minute walk to at Stephens green and grafton street and a further 10 minutes to temple bar. Starbucks next door and milano just right of the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Breakfast EUR12 for a full Irish buffer breakfast, worth every euro, good choice

"A great place to say if going to the Aviva also handy for the centre of Dublin"

A comfortable hotel about 20 minutes from the Aviva Stadium or the centre of Dublin. The local area also has some nice restaurants. The rooms have everything you need and the staff are helpful. Only moans were the over complicated Wi-Fi set up and curtains that didn`t shut out the light as they had come off the hook.

"Great stay"

Spent 3 nights at the Mespil in february 2013. Very impressed with everything. Didn`t use the restaurant but the breakfasts were very good with a huge choice - to suit anybody. The room and bed was very comfortable and little noise disturbance. Position of the hotel very good plenty to do (eats and drinks)in local vicinity and about a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Buses around the corner and Dart stn about 10 minutes away along the pretty canal. Dublin offers something for everyone but do be prepared for the cost of living. Much Much more expensive than uk -including London and Brighton. However we goit great deal at the hotel and would recommend this to everyone

"Excellent value for money"

I had seen the Mespil Hotel in Dublin before but never stayed there. The exceelent offer from HD was not to be missed for a 3 star hotel and I was not dissapointed. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre ( about 25 mins) and for rugby fans much closer to the new Lansdowne Road stadium. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were always helpful. The breakfast ( included in the price) was immense and I will have no hesitation in making it my first choice when I next visit Dublin
