Can`t fault staff very polite and helpful. Hotel needs a bit updating but on the whole clean and tidy. Due to there being discos at the hotel it was really busy from 6pm until around 4am. You could hear the music from your bedroom.

we really enjoyed our stay, staff were really helpful and friendly. breakfast was splendid noisey at night but we just got on with it and got merry and put our ear plugs in hotel a bit dated but everthing you needed was available

Very dated hotel doesn`t appear like the pictures and amount of noise is not stated on booking sites, staff were not very helpful when needing to change rooms really didn`t enjoy it ruined our trip to Dublin very disappointed

"Basic central Hotel"
Hotel was basic, room was a bit tired and noise from downstairs was banging but these are all something which we were aware off and didn`t hamper our stay in anyway. Staff were really helpful and pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

Very noisy music from downstairs bar that went on until about 03:30pm . Also room was hot, no air-conditioning So I got very little sleep. No extractor in the bathroom . Breakfast was about the only good thing.

very friendly and helpful staff. great location within Dublin. Breakfast served fresh and hot with a good choice. Rooms on the front could do with double glazing windows due to the trams. Although the trams make a good alarm clock. Rooms could also do with a fan in them as they are very warm but if you open the window the noise of the trams was unbearable even with ear plugs in. Great location if your after a nigh club.

"LOUD"
While the hotel staff was very nice and the location was fantastic, it should have been mentioned on the website that not only do they have a beer garden/disco but that it is OPEN until 4AM in the morning. The music was extremely loud and there were crowds of people both in the club on the streets until 4 am on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. I would NEVER go back to be honest. The rooms we had were twins which were fine in size but the mattresses were terrible.

"Medioca establishment with extremely noisy nightclub-bar"
The check in staff were efficient but neither very helpful nor unfriendly. The breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel decor and the rooms are very tired and outdated, desperately requiring some refreshment and general maintenance. There were no pillow or mattress protectors. Ceiling lights were hanging by their wires out of the sockets. The bathroom had black mould but otherwise the general cleanliness was acceptable. The largest problem was the terrible noise from the hotels nightclub-bar was terrible lasting well past 4-5am every day. They are clearly aware of the problem as you are given two pairs of complimentary earplugs. Not a terrible establishment but needs significant improvements. I unfortunately would not rebook or recommend.

This hotel should be avoided unless your there to party as it has a very busy nightclub attached which is popular with non residents of the hotel. There is a heavy security presence on the doors and they are not particularly pleasant people, ie bouncer types. Each room is supplied with earplugs as the club is very loud and continues on into the early hours. The rooms and furnishings are very dated and I would avoid this place at all costs. Breakfast wasn`t bad though!

The hotel in general was clean and tidy....but.....even though the website states some noise I never expected to feel that my bed had actually been picked up and placed in the middle of a nightclub! It is disgusting that anyone is expected to pay for a night here with no sleep.

Really disappointing, rooms badly need refurbished, beware the nightclub underneath, hence the complimentary earplugs, you`ll need them, fine if you just want a bad for the night and don`t care what it looks like as long as it`s clean.

"Wouldn`t revisit. "
Noise levels need to made clearer, not advertised that there were 2 nightclubs. Also there is generally a lot of street noise from 7am. Several problems with the shower, one morning no hot water. There was also an unpleasant odour from the drains. Taxi prices advertised in reception are wrong. Taxi company denies all knowledge of the offer rate to the airport. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. However, rooms were clean and a very helpful woman on the reception desk.

We had a Great stay here at the hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was immaculate and spacious. breakfast was lovely too, would definitely stay again!

"Loud and poor entertainment"
As I saw on other reviews music from the clubs downstairs can be heard past 4 am. We were on the top floor and could still hear it. If the staff from the bars weren`t rude and the drinks weren`t given to you with flat lemonade then we wouldn`t have minded so much. The room was dinghy and didn`t have things like a mini fridge or iron which would have been useful. I wouldn`t stay here again.

"Good budget hotel and n a busy part of town "
Try and get a room at the back. Nightclubs spilling out 2-3 am very noisy. Hence the ear plugs provided. Also trams thunder past all day.

Clean and friendly, but really could do with a refurb. Never heard the disco until it closed and the clientele spilled out onto the street. Good central position (for my purpose anyway).

On the first floor and loud music playing till 4am. Kettle in room not working. Diceys bar not open from 3-430pm as was preparing for a function. Room was like a sauna, asked reception to help and was advised to keep the window open. No complimentary shampoo/conditioner. Overall very disappointing.

"Should not be in business "
Aside from the hotel being directly over a night club,... A very popular night club where music shook our third floor windows till 4, our hotel was a joke. I have stayed in hostels all over the world nicer than this hotel. My mattress had broken springs, so I was essentially sleeping on the rock hard platform underneathe. Our room was hot, and we couldn`t open the windows because the line for te dance club was directly beneath our window. 18 year old drunk kids are loud,....the room was dirty and old. We also had to carry out 50 lbs bags up three flights of stairs,...

Great location, room very comfortable, breakfast was lovely and the Dicey O Reillys bar/club was great fun. Watched the rugby there on the big screen on sunday afternoon and the fabulous Guinness was a bargain 2 euro!

"No Sleep, noise noise noise "
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the noise was so loud from the nightclub it was vibrating the floor in the bedroom which was on the 3rd floor, I had 4 hours sleep in two days as a result. The music was going on Wednesday night til 4.30am and Thursday night til 3.30am. Ear plugs did not even drown put the sound it was so loud. I would never return to this hotel in a lifetime.

Loved are stay here had a brilliant room which would request the same room next time and we hope to stay again I the coming weeks, bar and staff were a credit to the hotel it`s self, yes it was nosie at night but I`m sure use get that a lot, noise didnt bother use we happy joined in :) hopefully we get the chance to stay again love it

We had a brilliant stay here the staff who were all so friendly made sure we were happy. Amazing rooms with interesting furniture. Good food and extremely good value. Will definitely return and absolutely recommend.

"Noise Pollution"
The Hotels night clubs went on until 4am. This keep us awake both of our two nights. There were doormen/bouncers working each evening who seemed intent on keeping residents out as well as any undesirables! Definately would not return to this Hotel. Room service is only available until 9pm. Most Hotels have 24hr room service.

We enjoyed the hotel during the day but although we requested a quieter side of the hotel, this was not accommodated. The noise after midnight kept us awake and left us tired during the day.

Everything else was fine, but obviously sleep is crucial. My room was on floor 1, at the front of the building and actually vibrated until 4.30 when the music stopped.

"No Air Conditioning in Rooms"
Bar Staff not very friendly. Resident Bar tiny with no entertainment. Fee of ?3.00 to leave luggage a bit much when most hotels are free.
