"Cold Rooms and no Tea / Coffee making facilities"

The rooms were very cold and there was no heating on, however when we asked for it to be switched on, it was but only for a short while. Also the waitress in the dining room wasn`t very pleasant.

"Good location would rate 1 or 2 star"

In need of refurbishment bed linen was clean and so was towels although they should put pillow slips on the spare pillow in cupboard i would have binned them as they where not clean, they could do with bleaching toilet pan and shower cubicles. There was no tea or coffee facilities in room how ever if you called to reception they would bring it to you.The staff are lovely and the breakfast was amazing restaurant area was spotless. The bad thing was people ignored the no smoking and smoked in corridors and threw butts out window.

"Dissappointed that there was no tea and coffee making facilities."

The book in the room advertised room service but when I enquired about this for tea to be brought to the room I was directed to the restaurant which meant going outside and back in and then being given my own to carry to the room- again back outside and in through the front door! The fire alarm went off everyday and there was no explanation why.

"OK"

There is a little wi-fi problem. But the boss and his assistants worked well to satisfy us. The room number 1 is really nice. Thanks for the daily tea and coffee accommodations. AP and DD

"Well located in the centre with easy access to and from the airport."

This was perfectly Ok. There was a restaurant in the hotel building which provided a good very reasonably priced breakfast. My only complaint was that the window in my room could not open as the sash cord was broken. Consequently the room was a bit stuffy. I should add that as the hotel fronts a main street and the weather was cold I would not have wanted it open for long!

You get what you pay for & this is certainly what we got. On walking into reception we were met with an overwhelming smell of fish, due to the attached restaurant, which was a bit off putting. Did get us thinking that this was probably not going to be to our liking but overall our room wasn`t too bad, just big enough for two sharing & very clean. The bathroom was probably the worst feature, although clean it was very small. Getting in & out of the shower was tricky & with a wet floor & no bath mat very dangerous. No tea & coffee facilities are provided in the room which was a shame as we all need a drink to start the day!! Overall I would give the room 5/10.

"Fantastic !!!"

A great choice for getting round and about the wonderful city ! With everything on the doorstep, from the tour buses, airport transport and some fantastic pubs, this hotel makes a great base - the staff are welcoming and friendly. One gripe ..... the website advertises tea making facilities, but to be honest we never needed this as theres so much on the doorstep. Will definitely be returning in the new year

"Great Location!"

If you`re looking for a cheap and cheerful option then this is the place for you! The location of the hotel was excellent, really close to the shops and 5-10 min walk to temple street. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff were all friendly and the towels were changed every day. The room was quite spacious if not a little tired looking. The room was good value for the price, however the only down side was that our room (24) was on the side of the building where the bins were emptied during the nite which made it a bit noisy-so was woken a couple of times each night during our stay. Otherwise, I would be happy to stay here again for its good location and as a cheap and cheerful option!

"Convenient location for a Dublin visitor"

Very clean and well decorated. Pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant, food good, well presented and reasonably priced. only one small niggle - no tea/coffee in room - not that important but would make life more enjoyable!

"Great location, friendly reception and just what we expected for the price"

We arrived at Lynams not knowing quite what to expect after reading the reviews on the internet. The hotel is in a great location and we had a friendly greeting when we arrived. The hotel is tidy and clean but would benefit from some modernisation. Taking into account the price we paid for the hotel we got excellent value for money. If you`re looking for a low cost, ideally situated and friendly hotel this is ideal - if you want a plush hotel with all the luxuries, you need to look elsewhere (and pay more).

"the quality I payed for: not much"

This hotel seemed to be the cheapest I could find, while also centrally located. But I was expecting some minimal quality. The matras must have been from before the war (perhaps WW1). It was so worn that the metal springs were leaving marks on my skin. The room was also extremely smelly (perhaps from the matras) and I had to leave the window open during my entire stay in order to tolerate the smell. After my first night I requested that the matras be replaced. Nothing happened. The coffee at breakfast tasted like instant coffee and probably was. The soap dispenser in the bath was and remained empty, despite my complaining about this. The cord of the telephone was broken. Avoid like the plague unless you are really really poor.

"Great Location"

Our stay was fine, exactly what you would expect. Clean room, polite service. The hotel had a great location easy to walk anywhere down town. No issues with cleanliness as others have stated. We will def stay here next time we visit Dublin.

"Definitely not a 3 stars hotel"

The room needed painting, the furnitures were old and battered. There was hair in the bath and if you wanted hot water for the shower, you had to put it on cold! I will not stay there again

very helpfull and curious reception staff. rooms clean and comfortable. very good access to all areas of the city. beakfast manue for vegitarians is not good. not enough variety to choose from when compared to other hotels we have used in the past. manager on duty was not attentive to guests` request for his attention. staff at reception were very helpful and gave very good advise.
