TV in the room had seen better days, as the remote was missing, net curtains were filthy dirty. The room felt very cold and damp. The staff were very helpful and friendly though. Had I booked more than one night I would have been very disappointed. The room served its purpose somewhere to sleep. I would say that the bed was very comfortable which has never been the case in other hotels I have stayed in before.

We booked 2 rooms and particulary 1021 was very damp and smelly. Both rooms were not up to a good standard and in great need of refurbishment.

"Cheap but not very cheerful"
Stayed for one night booked 2 rooms one double one twin. The twin room was satisfactory however the double was not. The toilet wouldn`t flush as the handle was broken, it also had what looked like s**t stains in the pan that was passed off as rust marks I when complained about them. The room was also damp and smelt musty. When i complained to the receptionist I was told they would send maintenance round to fix it. I asked for a replacement room as this one was not satisfactory. The manager did swap the room for another that was satisfactory, no remote for the TV and only 4 TV cnanels available. The location is close to the railway station and centeral to the city. I would not recomend this hotel the travel lodge is far better value for your money

...I checked straight out agian, the toilet was filthy the rrom hadn`t been cleaned very well and smelled awful...Despite being cheap it was foul.

Bed comfortable and clean. Breadfast excellent and timely. For the location I would used this hotel again. The reception staff were very helpful and able to ehlp me call a txi at the time I required one. Overall I would say 7 out of 10.

"Reasonable"
Average hotel. Unfortunately, reception is on 3rd floor and lift being refurbished. Not too impressed with parts of the room (no tea/coffee in room had to go and get these), bed not fixed together - base kept moving apart!) reasonable size room, good size en-suite but no wardrobe to hang anything!!

"no working lift"
they have a lift but it looks like its been barricaded off for maintance for years, im a wheelchair user and found this very digrading that my hubby had to carry me up stairs. the staff where very patronising and when told about a problem acted like they didnt know about it then did nothing to resolve it. the bed in our room was broken, half the top of the devan was missing, which made the matress sink into the base, the staff where also told about this and said "really" like they didnt know! this is 100% the worst hotel i have ever stayed in, if you want a comfy nights sleep and dont want to be woken up early morning with the fire alarm going off because someone was supposedly using hair spray (another excuse) dont stay here.

"lovely staff but very cold"
hotel was cheap and cheerful with very friendly staff. hardly any blankets on the beds which meant a very cold night. receptionist told me I could have rung down and a porter would have brought me up a heater but I would have preferred an extra blanket to start with. Wouldn`t bother with the breakfast - you`ll get more for your money at a local cafe.

"Coldest hotel ever!"
The hotel seemed nice from the outside but inside was another matter. The room was freezing with no heating on at all. Had to ask for a heater as we were actually shivering in bed! On the way down we noticed a blood stain on wall! Glad we didn`t opt for breakfast!

great hotel, friendlyu staff, comfy stay rooms only bad comments would be on the lift! which kept breaking down... and the noise on the night time. but it`s not a "noisy hotel" but the hustle and bustle from the streets can be heard and also the walls in the hotel itself are very thin....

awesome location just outside the train station and easy access to leeds town centre and bars. receptionist was fantastic and helpful, however hotel could do with a refurbishment and a coat of paint or 2. however was great for our stag party.

"good budget hotle"
We stayed last night a bit worried after read some bad reviews but we found it ok. Very near station, pubs and shopping. Room basic but ok for just 1 night. Room clean, TV. tea making facilities and trouser press,hairdryer. Bathroom a bit cold but didn`t bother us too much. didn`t have breakfast as 3.75 for continental. went across road all day breakfast £3.00

Room, bedlinen and bathrom clean shower good suitable for 2 - 3 nights. I stayed for 1 breakfast ok lift very slow quiet slept well. convienent to railway, taxi and shopping short walk would use again

"You get what you pay for!"
It was a comfortable stay, the only thing that put me off this place were the walls in the room, which were covered in god knows what?? Think a clean and a lick of paint is definitely needed!! Not recommended at weekends if you want a lie in as full of hen and stag parties making plenty of noise until the early hours!

"Sad decor"
