"Small room, strange smell, air conditioning broken"
Hotel looks good from outside, reception area inviting, check in staff polite and friendly and there is free wi if.That`s it for the good review. Now for the rest .....Room was small and dark, bad damp smell in the bathroom, shower had no pressure, very few bathroom products..basically just soap and body wash, worst of all though it was an airless night and the air conditioner did not work.

"Noise"
Stayed in room 102 and hardly slept all night due to the repeated noise from the lift doors! Otherwise all was fine

The hotel is impressive,the room was small but didn`t need to be bigger. The staff polite and helpfull. Shower/bath and wc very clean and bed comfy.The only things wrong were we were woken at 8am by someone drilling and there wasn`t enough coffee or milk in the room.

Very comfortable hotel and beautifully maintained. Staff were lovely. Only stayed one night and did not have breakfast there as it was too expensive on booking. Only criticism was that the room was very small/compact (Club Double), wouldn`t have liked to have stayed too long in a room of that size. But all the amenities were there. great one-night stay.

"Rude Staff"
BAD room, 3 noisy air conditioning units 20cm outside room window. Complained on checkout about noisy and over hot room only to be told I was wrong, the air conditioning was not on and I should have searched the room at 1am and turned off the radiator .The units were on and noisy I DO NOT need to hear this from someone who has had a good nights sleep. I was offered a complimentary breakfast and paid £13 for breakfast for my colleague who was in the room next door .It was poor, 1slice of burnt bacon, dried up beans and a small chipolata. All in all, very poor, Very Rude staff especially the receptionist, will never use again or recommend.

The hotel staff were great and the room was lovely and clean. We booked a superior room and compared to other hotels I have stayed in thought the room was quite small

This club twin room was very small but clean and tidy. We were disappointed that wi-fi was not included and we didn`t have a fridge/mini bar. No hair dryer either. Expected a bit more from a four star hotel but I guess the price of the room should have given us a clue. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel easy to find and a lovely atmosphere.

Spotlessly clean. Location excellent. Room much smaller than expected for a Queensgate Room. Only problem was with shower when ready to leave, no hot water and only a trickle. Would still recommend to others and will stay again when next in London.

Great hotel in a brilliant location just a stones throw from South Kensington tube station. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were small but adequate and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Very average hotel. Wish we had paid a little bit more for a better quality hotel, the cleaners were more friendly! Only benefit we had was that the location was not too far from the Tube and the bed was comfy.

The Regency is one of the nicest hotels in South Kensington! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the atmosphere was lovely. All members of staff were helpful particularly the concierge- thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return again if we were to stay in south kensington.

Decent hotel, but shower was hot and cold, my dinner overall again was decent, but greasy and the bathroom extractor was constantly on all night! I did mention it, but no compensation or complimentary offers. Shame really....

"A well-appointed and convenient hotel: comfortable and clean."
We enjoyed our stay and found the staff courteous and helpful. There was a party the evening we arrived and we were told about it with a view to our rooms being changed. This was done and we were not disturbed. It is conveniently situated in S Kensington and convenient for the Cadogan Hall where we were going to a concert. A good continental breakfast for £10.

We are regulars here, this is a good value for money hotel and is only a short walk form South Kensington tube station. Nice re-furbished rooms and efficient staff.

The Regency is a great base when staying in London. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are stylish and clean. Would have been an excellent if check in hadn`t been so slow, though again the receptionist was helpful.

"Lovely but Don`t Expect a Lie-In"
The hotel is excellently located. The lobby lacks warmth but the downstairs lounge, bar and restaurant make up for that. The room is lovely and clean and a decent size but the provision of a refrigerator would be nice. All is quiet and no noise from other rooms -- until the guests (is it above you??) enter their bathroom in the morning: you are then jolted awake thinking that someone is in YOUR bathroom the sound carries so loudly (and this is with your own bathroom door shut). Definitely recommended as long as you are planning early mornings yourself.

"Absolutely excellent hotel."
Three of us from Cornwall stayed there in connection with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. This hotel is beyond praise. The staff are completely helpful and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is a beautiful structure, and everything is immaculate, both in the guest rooms and elsewhere. We have nothing but the highest compliments for all concerned.

I was surprised that the room did NOT incorporate a shaver/electric toothbrush point. I had not bought my own adapter as I was staying in a London Hotel !! After initially told that I could buy an adapter at the local Pharmacy, a guest fortunately returned a "loaned" adapter. It was primarily designed for overseas 2 pin plugs and NOT for the usual UK round two pin units. Contact was made by holding the plug into the adapter at all times. Success, but very frustrating.
