" Fully met our overnight stop requirements."

Room - comfortable. Food & Drink very good. Staff - staff throughout the hotel were courteous and very friendly. Very professional. Would certainly stay there again.

"What a perfect location"

Married couple on London break stayed in this hotel for a long weekend and most certainly will stay again. Location could not be better - right bang in the middle of Leicester Sq and Trafalgar Sq! No tube needed/no buses needed. Walked to every location we wanted to see and then at night was right in the middle of great nightlife/restaurants/shows. Can`t wait to return! Was worried room might be noisy due to location but it was quite the opposite - no probs and room nice and clean! See you soon Royal T!

"The staff were brilliant"

This hotel is outstanding the staff are polite, the rooms are immaculate, the breakfast was superb, we were able to check in early whith no problems.

"Wonderful weekend"

We really were very pleased with the hotel location it was so central a few minutes walk to covent garden, the ivy and the sports relief run! our room was superb- very comfortable 6ft wide bed! reception were very helpful and attentive and the breakfast was lovely, HotelDirect text us to confirm a day or so in advance and gave us directions, so everything ran smoothly, and HotelDirect really did have the best price on the web for the royal trafalgar - we really had a great weekend thank you

"Staff are excellent"

I have never before stayed in a hotel with such excellent customer service. The staff and friendly polite and attentive. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel and it is well situated too. (Patricia Molony)

"Fantastic Location, Staff and ambience. 5 STAR"

A lovely welcome upon arrival, the room was modern, clean and comfy. The staff were very helpful with reccommendations and directions. The breakfast was full of fresh produce, well presented and soooo much choice! As for the location, superb. Right in the middle of Trafalger square and Covent garden, next to an underground too. We will definately be returning. Thankyou for such a lovely experience.

Room was upgraded due to problem with building works & very well appointed - couldn`t fault. Buffet breakfast paid separately. Not good at 10am & looked like it had been cooked at least 2 hours previous.

"Royal Trafalgar - At the heart of London"

Brilliant hotel, staff are excellent and go out of there way to help you. Withing minutes walk of charing cross, leicester square and piccadilly underground and is literally just around the corner from the National gallery. Well worth the package deal price.

"Bad hotel policy of using BT Openzone Wi Fi - which was non functional during our 4 stay!!!"

Hotel advertises Wi Fi available as a facility as if it is open free. In fact they are charging £10 per day PER DEVICE (not per room - so if you are sharing, or have a laptop and a smartphone you need 2 passcode numbers at £20 per day). In our case the wi fi didn`t work at all over 4 days the outset (finally admitted after much denial by hotel), who said it wasn`t their fault but BT`s !!! (Who chose the BT Openzone system??). Our 4 day business trip appointments were much impaired by this problem, and it cost a lot money and time to overcome by going out to use Internet Cafe`s taxis and mobile phones. Local staff sympathetic and very helpful in other ways, but no practical help or compensation. Wi Fi is now an essential utility even at 1* hotels, and should be free. Hotel Management decision to use unreliable Openzone to skin extra money from captive guests is very poor policy.

"Wonderful experience !"

Stayed for partners 30th birthday what an wonderful experience staff were attentive and very polite rooms where beautifully finished and very comfortable . Breakfast was very high standard will definitely be staying again thank you very much !!!!

"When we arrived reception had no record of our booking"

The staff were really helpful and sorted out the fact that they had no record of our booking. The hotel was warm, clean and ideally situated for our needs. Would certainly use it again.

"Newly refurbished"

We were upgraded to an executive room when we arrived which was absolutely supurb. It was large and spotless. The reception staff (in fact all staff) were the most polite I have come across in many years and couldn`t do enough for you. The hotel looks quite stunning and I would recommend it to anyone. It is very central to nearly all the sights.

Thank you to the staff of the Royal Trafalgar for a very pleasant stay in london. The Rooms are refurbished, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for any tourist. will definitely recommend in the future and hope i have the pleasure of staying again.

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Trafalgar 24 - 26 Feb. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We were on a room only basis but on our first morning they had a problem with the water pressure which resulted in the showers not working, this was very quickly resolved and they gave us a complimentary breakfast while we waited. We paid for breakfast on our 2nd morning, I`m not sure if it was a different chef, but it wasn`t as good as the previous morning. The rooms are quite small but very clean and done out to a high standard, with everything you could need in there. The location of the hotel is fantastic, though a little noisy at night, but no more than you would expect for a centrally located hotel. We didn`t need to step onto a tube the whole time, the main attractions are generally within easy walking distance. All in all we had a fantastic stay, and wouldn`t hesitate to book there again. Highly recommended.

"great position"

a short walk form Charring cross station and even shorter to Leicester Square. nice clean hotel although rooms are on the small side. but clean and nicely decorated. staff where helpful. i planned this weekend for my wifes birthday and managed to book 6 rooms at a very good price!! all our friends only had good words for the hotel. bar is a bit pricey, but then again all hotels are, especially in central London. Would i book again? would i recommend? 100% yes

On arrival at the Royal Trafalgar to be told over booked and would we mind staying in their sister hotel The piccadilly, with breakfast thrown in for our trouble. Not a problem as slightly more central, in fact smack bang in the middle of the West End. Rooms on the 7th floor, all newly refurbished. We had a lovely room, spacious and very clean. Our friends, expecting an identical room had a much smaller one, no space (still clean and decor lovely), but a bit of a damper in comparison. They were also kept awake all night by the air con units on the side of the hotel. A shame as the rooms were lovely but expected, as we`d moved hotels with no fuss to have equal rooms. Lovely breakfast, staff v friendly and helpful.

Excellent location. Fab breakfast. Outstanding staff, Mukund(manager), Robin and Stella at breakfast. Could not ask for anything better.
