"Nice hotel good position"

the hotel itself was in a very good location with a NCP carpark in very close proximity which was helpful. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Actually all the staff were helpful. Our room was nice and the bed was huge. Bathroom was a little dated but everywhere was clean. We had dinner at th hotel and there was a good choice and we enjoyed the speciality. Breakfast was not good. There was a very good range but some of it was only luke warm.It wasn`t helped by the fact that the plates were also very cold. Not very appetising which was a shame as it looked nice. Would we use this hotel again? We probably would but we would purchase breakfast elsewhere

"Lovely hotel set in great location"

We stayed on New Years eve and were lucky to be offered a free complimentary upgrade to a presidential suite! Superb room, friendly service and great location! Who could ask for more! Would highly recomend.

"Overall a very clean and comfortable Hotel, rooms were a little small but did not affect stay."

As stated a very clean and comfortable hotel so have no adverse comments. Did not avail myself of many of the facilities such as bar or breakfast as it was New Years Eve so very limited time actually in premises. Very good facilities those I used and would stay again.

Hotel had been overbooked for New Year`s Eve, however we were placed into the Thistle across the street in a better room with complimentary breakfast, which was great! Had an ace stay and would recommend to other travellers.

Fantastic location in the centre of all the action. Very clean hotel. Rooms are small but have everything that you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Excellent location & tastefully refurbished."

Hotel bar was closed for a private party on the evening of 8/12. Hot Buffet breakfast was cold. One lift out of two was out of order. Very impressed with newly refurbished rooms, however shower was not properly secured to the wall tiles and was very loose when trying to change shower head spray.

The royal trafalgar is in a great location in London, close to Leicester square, regent street, Oxford street and covent garden. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. When we got to the hotel they kindly upgraded our room because it was for a special occasion, the rooms were clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay including iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Would definitely reccomend the royal trafalgar to friends and family and anyone looking for a nice hotel to stay in London.

Very friendly in good central location. Very good size room although bathroom could have been bigger. Great staff throughout the hotel. Would certainly stay again.

"Hotel location perfect! Room cosy but extremely clean and tidy with all essential amenities at hand."

Only let down... Modern, clean recreational area`s but only worth using if you are wealthy! A pint of Bass and a glass of Pinot cost over £14.00! This probably explains why it is usually empty. Will recommend the hotel and definitely use again but will opt for a drink in the city or buy a bottle of wine from the shops...

This tucked away little treasure amazed us , its close proximity to many main attractions ,yet in a quiet street away from the buzz of everything.we were able to walk around and explore quite easily .

"So near to perfection, until encountering shockingly poor service"

This is a fairly exceptional hotel (on the outset); smart, stylish, very comfortable, clean and extremely well located on the doorstep of Leicester Square. In fact, it was faultless, until we went to breakfast. The service was appallingly bad. We were left to fend for ourselves; no one saw to us at all. Meanwhile, waiting staff fluttered around a few choice tables. We on the otherhand were neglected. It wasn`t even busy. We were not alone, some other guests shared our sentiment. On our special anniversary weekend it was so upsetting. They really need to address this. You really would expect better.

Fantastic place, right in the heart, 10/15 mins walk from anywhere you want to be. Hotel was lovely, clean, friendly staff. Room was excellent, was upgraded on arrival. Will definitely come here again.

Positives - Location is brilliant, bedroom was good, staff were friendly. Negatives - Bathroom was just on the shabby side of good. Restaurant service was slow, and food was poor. Perfume/Air Freshener in reception was extraordinarily overpowering.

Reception staff (Magdalena) was very friendly and quick to check us in. Our stay was without any problems and we had a good night`s sleep. Breakfast was also very good and warm food was brought out frequently. Overall, very good thanks.

Excellent location for a tourist/theatre break. Room was a good standard and quiet. Generous cooked breakfast. Afternoon tea was pleasant, but perhaps not as generous and attentive as some other hotels. I would use the hotel again.

"Excellent location, very helpful & friendly check-in, room as expected for london"

Overall excellent. We had a very enjoyable stay on two nights. The main negative was payment for two papers at check-out. We were asked if we wanted a paper at check-in (The Financial TImes). We asked for the Guardian and it was confirmed. The receptionist did not inform us that we would have to pay for the these papers. She apologised for not making it clear at check-in. We told her that it wasn`t mentioned at check-in. She continued to take the payment for the papers. We did not make Astana about it as we didn`t want to ruin an excellent stay but the principle of this is not right and we should not have been charged for the papers.

Friendly helpful staff. Hotel very clean. Excellent central location for theatres, etc, etc. We had a great weekend and will stay there again.

"Friendly & helpful staff, clean room, great location"

We have stayed at the Royal Trafalgar before and always find the staff very helpful. The location is ideal for Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly and theatres. the only slightly negative comment is that one of the lifts is out of action but this did not spoil our stay

"Good offer price for a West End London Hotel and didn`t let down....."

Good clean hotel with friendly staff. Not sure I would pay full prcie for a room but the late deal price offered through Hoteldirect was exceptionally good and the hotel more that passed for a 3* in the West End of London. Will be using again for sure.

Excellent location. I stayed with my 12 year old son and we walked everywhere. Piccadilly Circus great for tube connections to the Museums further out. Nice room, the hotel has been re-fitted since I last stayed.

Hotel is so well situated within walking distance of most attractions and theatres. Really comfortable rooms and the staff were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Quiet hotel in the centre of London - almost unheard of!! We had a wonderful break and would certainly stay here again. Thanks to all the staff at the Royal Trafalgar. Thanks Hotel Direct.
