"Very nice hotel in a great location"
We had a pleasant enough stay at the Corus - staying overnight to take in a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Biggest plus was the price paid for location which was a twenty minute walk across the park, at a very reasonable price that included breakfast. A few negatives were that the rooms were a little shabby and dated but not enough to be a disappointing factor, and the walls were pretty thin. Neighbours playing music at 8a.m. and car alarms going off at 6 a.m. were not to be blamed on the hotel but did take away from our peaceful retreat. The staff were another positive factor and were courteoud, polite and helpful from the cleaners, concierge, and waiters through to reception and everybody else

Appears 4 star when you enter the lobby but then surprised how small the rooms and beds are , up against the wall the room was that small ! Well over priced.

"Beautiful and Comfortable"
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning upon arrival, the room was easy to find and it was very spacious. The bathroom was a little cramped but not necessarily an issue. The bed was very comfortable and the staff who worked there was welcoming and very friendly.The room itself has a widescreen tv, ironing board with iron, hair dryer, kettle and the shower was very lovely. It was only a ten minute walk from Paddington Station and lots of shops and restaurants around the area. We would most definitely stay there again.

Very good hotel with excellent breakfast and service from staff. Previous stay in executive room which was far superior.

room was compact but more than adequate for a 1 night stay, very clean and tidy only criticism - the bath had a tall side, not the easiest to get into for short people

"Helpful friendly staff"
The hotel foyer looks 4 star plus . Nevertheless the room we stayed in was ridiculously small. Everything seemed dated , shower was feeble , tiny table in room due to lack of space. Staff all seemed friendly , polite and helpful. Think twice before staying another night in this hotel .

Staff very nice and helpful Our room ( a family room ) sadly was ok but didn`t have any space to put away clothes , only room to hang clothes .of which you can`t hang underwear up !! No towel rails either . So not the best on the room iv stayed in sadly . Underwear up !!! No towel rails either

"2 nights stay June 20q6"
We had a family room on the 7th floor. The room was very spacious with two double beds for me my husband and two teenage girls. It was nicely decorated with a safe for valuables and good tea/coffee facilities. There was also a fridge with complementary soft drinks and water and extra milk. The beds were very uncomfortable with very flat pillows so we didn`t get a very good nights sleep. The bathroom could do with a refurbishment, shower not very good and toilet seat was loose.

Lovely hotel and helpful staff. Room was small but adequate and clean. Sadly our floor was being decorated when we arrived so the room smelled strongly of paint. As we didn`t spend much time in there it didn`t spoil our stay. Would book again but wouldn`t pay full price due to small size of room.

"Small room adequate for the one night. My first experience of London hotels so nothing to compare."
Bath very deep and raised off the ground so awkward getting in/out. I slipped and grazed ankle. Some of the coat hangers won`t take the weight of clothes.

Maintenance works on our floor spoiled the general look of the hotel, the view was not what I had hoped for. Breakfast was good and staff were polite. Room was smaller than anticipated but bed was comfortable and room Was clean. Not a bad nights stay.

"Very noisy water storage contraption in room = no sleep"
Did not get any sleep, some sort of water storage or air con unit in our room which made noises all night.

"Very small"
We booked and stayed in a double room. The room is that small you can only get out of one side of the bed! The bathroom is also very small, when you turn the water on in the sink, the water splashes you and the floor due to the side of the tiny basin. The use of mirrors is not successful in giving the illusion of more space. It was fine as we were only staying for one night but I would not return or would not have stayed in these rooms should I have been staying for longer. The website does not show the rooms that we stayed in and they seem to be the majority so should be advertised as so. They have cramped too many rooms into a small space.

"Friendly, unflustered staff during a very busy weekend"
The hotel`s location was excellent to access Hyde Park and other nearby attractions. The staff were pleasant and efficient at all times and I`m sure that the facade of the hotel will look superb when it`s complete. A member of staff was also able to give me a history of the hotel. Being able to get a sandwich in the Bistro when we arrived back from our night out at around 11pm would have been good but the very nice lady on reception was able to point us in the direction of a very nice Italian restaurant nearby. We`d definitely stay at the Corus again as well as recommend it to friends.

"Appearance"
The hotel was surrounded with scaffolding and notices of apology were dotted around but we would have liked to have been informed of this disruption beforehand. Workmen were looking in through the window from 8.00 am. Lovely hotel though and very nice staff.
