Really impressed. Great large room. Comfortable and immaculate. Really felt like 5*. Great English breakfast the next morning. Lovely large pool. Definitely recommend it.

"Very handily situated"

Nice hotel, reception staff great. Shame they cannot turn the steam room on before aqua club opens, it`s the little things. Although the breakfast is nice, in a 5 star hotel they should be able to bring you toast? Maybe i`m being too picky.

"Good location, average rooms"

The location is perfect for central London, right outside Piccadily circus tube station. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was buffet style and was lovely..exceeded expectations. Only disappointment was the room. It was nice but for the money had no wow factor and I feel for what we paid was over-priced. Would stay again but not for a special occasion just for general sight seeing if price was less.

"Room was not ready"

Our room was not ready, we checked in at 3 but was not ready till four the maid was very rude when we tried to get into our room. Once we eventually got into our room our stay was very pleasant, the staff at breakfast were so lovely and very professional.

"No way is this 5 stars"

Location, in means of proximity to theatre excellent. Bed was very comfortable, but other than that, it was very average, and in no way would I have rated it 5 stars, I would struggle to give it 4 stars.The room was small, very basic, amenities were as you would expect in a capital city hotel, but no more than average. Inner room, so no view.The en-suite bathroom was very basic, shower was a joke, you stand in the bath, can`t get close to the shower head, let alone under it. Towels were hard, not fluffy and inviting, and off colour, as was the shower curtain, the bathrobes were also in need of fabric conditioning. 5 Star hotels live, and die, on the quality of their housekeeping, this was very poor The kettle had to be removed from the cupboard, filled from the bath tap, or bottled water, and put on the floor to reach a wall socket, ridiculous.. The bars were very expensive, the restaurant also, the service was reasonable. The included breakfast was 3 star, if that.

"Definitely NOT a 5* hotel!"

Although all very nice, clean and tidy, this was definitely NOT a 5* hotel. I was disappointed thought I was going to be staying somewhere very special. Did get a very good massage though!

"Central location"

Reception staff helpful, room small but very clean, lovely swimming pool and good breakfast. The restaurant was expensive and we had an error on the bill to the value of £20.

Changing areas for the pool were out of service and no-one mentioned this when we enquired about the pool, so we had to move between floors in dressing gowns. Although the fixtures and fittings in our (very small) room were lovely, the decor was a little shabby - peeling paint etc but it didn`t spoil our stay !!

"Great position!"

Lovely room, ideal base for theatre/shopping. Polite, courteous staff. Nice spread for breakfast including smoked salmon, but some hot items only luke warm. Other than that, couldn`t fault it, would stay again. Reasonably priced too.

"Great location but needs to improve to keep its star rating "

We are frequent travellers staying in hotels all over the world, this was the third hotel in a month and was booked as a theatre package for its location for the show and shopping. Reception - Clarity required on checking in, offer of portage service, use of the lifts which require your room card for security reasons. Rooms - The rooms were clean and ready for use Staff - Very helpful and courteous in general under staffed in the restaurant at breakfast. Restaurant - Used for breakfast only but found there was a lack of information at the point of meet and greet,about the services offered. The tea and coffee were poured but no pots are left on the table which in every other hotel in general this is the case. The food was not heated and there were no proper plates. Spa and pool area - The pool was not very warm and the Jacuzzi was out of use. Conclusion - We would stay again if these points were addressed.

"We had some Problems "

We stopped at this Hotel for two nights there was a large ventilation pipe right outside our window with the loud noise coming from the ventilation pipe it keep us awake most of the night when we went down for breakfast we found the hot buffet was cold the second day they came to clean our room at 1645 just as we were getting ready to go out to a show so we just asked the cleaner to leave fresh towels we did complain and received an apology from the duty manager with a bottle of wine we might have been unlucky on our stay but standeds should be kept up better for a 5 star hotel

"SHOULDNT BE A 5 STAR"

the only thing about this hotel being 5 star is the position, the doors to all the rooms as you walk along the corridors are dirty looking, the room we had was a box and had scuff marks around the walls and skirtings, the window to the room did not open and no fresh air could be let in, as the last time we stayed there the radiator in the bathroom did not work so towels wouldnt dry for use the next day, 1 dressing gown even though it was a 2 person occupancy, a bath towel that was barely bigger than a hand towel, and also channel 1 on the tv shows SPG hotels inother parts of the world looking luxiourious when le xxxxx doesnt come close to them, we go to london once a year to see a show and stay somewhere nice, it was a huge letdown, premier inn have better standards, i wont even mention the quality of the breakfast but it wasnt good

"Great location, not 5*"

Location is fantastic for all London has to offer. Unfortunately, there are improvements to be made. Reception area very busy for both checking in and departing. We were not informed that the spa was undergoing refurbishment. The spa pool out of use, wet change changing rooms not in use, resulting in a long walk to pool area from changing areas with no showers! The breakfast room was lovely, but the hot buffet foods were not always hot and we had to keep asking for tea and coffee. The room was clean and comfortable, but not soundproofed from the corridor - you could hear every door open and shut from the bed - not condusive to a good night sleep along with hearing water from the plumbing in rooms above. Sorry but disappointed - we expected more from the big price tag.

"Exceeded expectation."

The hotel was an ideal location for the Piccadilly Theatre. From the moment we booked in, the service was excellent at all times. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which had everything you could wish for. Would definitely stay there again.

"Very slow check in and then sent to someone else`s room!"

We arrived after a 13 hour flight. Check in took ages. When it was eventually completed we were sent to someone else`s room! On our return to the front desk we were met with incredulity and then poor old housekeeping was blamed! Not impressive at all.

"One night`s stay"

The hotel was excellent, it was the first time that we had stayed here and would highly recommended it to our family and friends. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, had a great night`s sleep, very rare when I`m away from home. The buffet breakfast was outstanding full English and continental as much as you could eat. The location of the hotel was a big plus for us as we had booked to see a show so it was less than a 10 minute walk away. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again.

"In room breakfast"

We pre ordered breakfast for two occupants in room during our stay. Breakfast came at the time requested but dispite there being 2x juices,enough cold toast,hot chocolate and pastries for two people we were given one cup to share the hot drink and all the full English breakfast for two people on one plate! I went to the breakfast room and spoke to a member of staff,who asked for another plate and cup,plus a couple of items of food that were missing from my wife`s order be delivered to the room.After a wait of at least 10 minutes my appetite lost and the items we already had gone cold,room service appear with a plate,cup and missing food items and asking me to sign another check for room service charges.A disgrace!Five star prices and not five star service.not surprisingly the customer service and appoligies improved straight after the event once a quick moan had been logged with reception.Too little to late I will not be staying or recommending this hotel to anyone

"disappointing"

service was terrible except for the reception checking in and out. Restaurant service slow. Waited 1 hour for lunch and then one was served when the other 5 people had finished eating. Didn`t seem to have enough staff in the dining areas - at breakfast tea and coffee were not replenished and the dirty plates were not cleared away. Room was small and not up to 5 star expectation. Bathroom was basic and the toilet flush wasn`t working properly.

"Very comfortable room coupled with excellent service"

We were most impressed with both the hotel, its facilities and its staff and with the service we received from Hotel Direct. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The highlight was the bed which was extremely comfortable and enabled us to get a really good night`s rest after a long and tiring day. All the staff that we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and provided an excellent, friendly, service. We wouldn`t hesitate to use it again.

"Fantastic location fab staff"

So central. Didn`t need to use any public transport. Staff were so friendly, warm and helpful. Rooms a good size and everything at hand. Didn`t use much if facilities as only short stay but would do on nxt trip. Would defo stay here on every trip to London.
