"un-pretentious luxury within one of the most stylish london locations"

my daughter and I stayed for her birthday, where the staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautifully decorated, with modern amenities throughout the bed and bathroom areas. Taxis where made easy to call as there was always a bell boy to hail one for us. On further visits to London, business or pleasure, we would always return to the xxxxx.

"2* room, 5* service"

would not think you were in a 5* hotel in mayfair by the standard of our room, very small room, very unlike the photos, limescale on the shower head, broken hair dryer in the bathroom, bathroom in some much need of tlc. towels not soft and fluffy as one would expect. no tea and coffee facility as stated, however you can request this at an extra cost. there was a major leak on our first morning and were told not to use the toilet or shower. i would not stay there again.

"The xxxxx Hotel."

I had high expectations for this hotel ,we had booked an Superior Executive twin room. When we arrived we were greeted by reception most curteously, she went through our booking and explained everything to us. As we did not need the porter take take our luggage up to our room as we were only staying overnight , we procceded to our room . Well what a disappointment, such a small room, the bathroom was tiny. If this is executive superior room I dread to think think what a bog standard room is like.

"Very clean, bed comfortable, service friendly and nothing seemed to be a problem."

Overall lovely hotel just a couple of negative points. No tea making facilities, TV kept freezing, walls very thin so noisey from next room and bathroom needs up dating to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Breastfast delicious and sevices top rate enjoyed are stay.

"No tea facilities, iron or complimentary water"

Receptionist didn`t add a personal touch or offer map of area. For the price, I`d prefer to pay a little extra and stay at at the Mayfair where you will get tea and coffee facilities in your room, iron and ironing board and complimentary water in the room. The bathrooms are small and dated at the xxxxx.

"Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff!"

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and my husbands 40th, we were immediately upgraded from queen to king room, the staff were excellent. We were surprised with a beautiful cake with birthday and anniversary cards from the hotel which was so lovely! The polo bar is very nice indeed and the food and breakfast outstanding. Thank you xxxxx for a lovely stay! The beds are extremely comfortable!

We were made to feel at home from the moment we got out of the taxi. The room was warm and comfortable. Wish we could afford to stay there more often...

"Fabulous hotel!!"

totally fantastic weekend - the west bury is a brilliant location for shopping, partying and having fun. The polo bar does amazing cocktails with professional yet friendly staff. The hotel room was lovely and spacious and we loved it all.

"Excellent service but you pay"

Booked a twin room, which was small but comfortable. Breakfast was great (thankfully included) with excellent service. Only gripe was that there were no tea- or coffee-making facilities in the room, and to have it in the lobby cost £5.00 for a 2-cup pot, plus 63p service charge. I do like to have a cup of tea when I wake up, and missed it.

Great hotel, made very welcome, although the guy at reception commented, and not quietly that we were booked into the cheapest rooms in the hotel, made me feel that we only booked it as it was cheap.... But over all very good.

"Nice hotel but let down by lack of Tea and Coffee making facility in room"

Not ideal to have to order Tea and Coffee from room service and with tea at £5 not cheap either. Otherwise the room was well maintained and comfortable. The hotel is very well situated with easy access to all the usual London sights and shopping areas. Staff polite and helpful.

"a little bit tired"

Excellent location, attentive and friendly staff. The room was clean and nicely turned down, but a little tired. The deal we got made it a very good value for money. The Polo bar cocktails were as good as their reputation, and the lack of customers on the night we were there meant we had lots of fun chatting with the friendly staff.

"Friendly and Accomodating"

The hotel staff were the most friendly and accomodating I have ever experienced. From early check in to late checkout, to a greet and a smile from every staff member we encountered, it was a pleasure all round. Thanks for this.

"Excellent overall."

What you would expect from a 5 star hotel. I would like to praise the room service and food. I am not happy with the internet services - nearly non existent, which, in this day and age is appalling. The TV had very limited choice of channels and very limited choice of paid movies. It did spoil the good impression a bit.

"Room very cramped and restaurant experience very rushed!"

Room very small despite paying for an upgrade and restaurant booked at 2130 and were trying to get us to settle bill and leave at 2015hrs Very rushed as they wanted to close.

"Staff were outstanding, they couldn`t be more attentive and helpful."

This hotel is tucked in off the road in the heart of Bond street shopping area. It has a luxurious feel and it is nice to be greeted by the door men in their traditional top hats. Rooms are nicely done out, beds extremely comfy. Turn down service is a nice touch and towels and toiletries are topped up during this call.

"Unfortunately I would`nt class this as a 5 star"

The staff were very pleasant, however, I was really disappointed in the room. It was very small and the bathroom was really old fashioned. The shower water was luke warm and there was not a shower screen but a curtain which I would`nt expect in a five star hotel. The breakfast was OK but nothing special. I would`nt go back as there are nicer hotels in London.

"Excellent service, great food and superb cocktails"

This was our second stay in the xxxxx and once again we had a fantastic time. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. The tasting menu was excellent and enjoyed by everyone in the party, including the vegetarian and the non drinker. The bar staff are attentive and very pleasant. I like the endless refills of nibbles and the mini cocktails which accompany your chosen drink, this gives everyone a chance to try the cocktail and was very popular with our party. Special mention of the Concierge who produced a tea tray for the two elderly ladies who needed a morning cup of tea, and asked after them every time he saw them. A simple thing but it made them feel very special, and contributed to the overall enjoyment of the weekend. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel not just for its ambience but also the superb location. We will be staying again soon.

otel staff very friendly, nothing was a proble. For myself though I found the beds too hard, and the pillows, and the room overnight was very warm. I hate not having any tea making facalities in the room, as, as soon as I wake up I like a cup of tea, this hotel didnt have that facility. Overall though it was an enjoyable stay, but then it should be for the price we paid,

"It is probably only just a 5 star hotel"

Location is great and hotel overall is good value for money if you get a deal. However, it is scraping a 5 star rating on my opinion

"OK once as a hidden gem but would choose to stay elswhere given the option again."

Noise from above (think it was the Gym) and TV through paper thin walls from nextdoor. Would happily forego Molton Brown toiletries to have a tea and coffee making facilities in the room without extra charge! Come on xxxxx, I know its an American hotel but were in Britain!
