We found this hotel pleasant but had to report to the management that the room was cold and the heating did not work until about 0745 am.

"WELLLLLL"

Not bad stay, Staff have a problem speaking and understanding English. Was set up by the reception on Sunday when they ordered a taxi for us to go to Victoria station. It took the driver an hour and a half to get there after three circuits of Hyde park and twnty two pounds later ??????????????.

"My floor wreaked of the smell of smoking."

Since smoking has been banned in public places for some time now, why did floor two smell of smoking and my (dingy) room smell even worse? Off my list for next time.

"Bitten by mites/fleas, disturbed by other guests nocturnal activities, no ashtray in a smoking room."

Worse by far than the mites/fleas, other guests making `noise` and not being provided with an ashtray in a smoking room - was the sound of the air handling unit outside the window churning away constantly. Little or no sleep. However on request the ashtray did arrive within 20 minutes and the shower was good and hot.

"A budget hotel trying to compete in the business market."

Restaurant advertised being open until 10.45pm (11.00 in some literature) but went at 10.15pm and they were closed. Tried to order room service (advertised 24 hours) and was again told no. Had to order pizza in which wasn`t ideal. If this hotel is going to compete in the business world they need to improve the basics; otherwise aim at the budget traveller who expects the kind of service given at this hotel. Room ok but could be better..clean(ish) and functional.

The hotel was good, the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were building works right outside our room and at 9am a member of staff tried to walk into our room, we did not order breakfast so I am unsure of why he felt the need, luckily I had put the chain on the door and was able to continue showering without any embarrassment!

"When does a double room, have 2 twin beds?"

Despite confirmation of a double room, we were given a twin bedded room, which was reluctantly replaced with a double bed room. This room had a pungent smell, which maded our eyes sting and a television which didn`t work. The receptionist reluctantly came up to the room and then finally aplogised and offered us another room.

Small, dated, damp smelling basement room, which was completely different to the photos shown on the web site. Will not return.

"Friendly, clean and very central hotel"

Very nice hotel, in a great location on the central line. The staff were all helpful and the rooms were all clean with resonable facilities. My only complaint was that the elevators were not working.

"Disappointed"

Booked a triple room told we were booked for a double.It was a good job I had the print out.Told it would be sorted when we returned.We returned some hours later given the key when we went into the room it was a double.Contacted reception a bed had to be set up.Asked for another set of towels,still waiting!!We left luggage to be collected later,never had to pay per bag before.On return it was fortunate I had a ticket per bag as somebody hadn`t put a label on them so I was having a problem getting the bags and a taxi was ticking away.It was very disappointing overall and I have stayed in many London hotels including the Park Inn in Russel Square and I know after the attitude I will never stay in one again.

Our bed sheets weren`t long enough for the bed and there was only one small towel for both of us to use. The reception staff, although friendly, were difficult to understand due to strong accents. One of the lifts was broken and the other jammed when we tried to get in it so we climbed 5 floors every time we wanted to go to our room. Altogether a very below par experience and disappointed to pay almost £100 for the privilege.

morning of day 2 builders moved in next door at 0800hrs with drills and hammers as we were already up we did not make a scene about it . the same happened on day three after a late night out and woke us up. i went and got the manager . she came to the room heard for herself the banging and drilling then apoligised and offered to move rooms .and afree breakfast. i ask for a discount on the room as this had happened two out of three mornings . after speaking to her boss this was denied because the work was happening next door to the hotel and they were not responsible.unimpressed with this answer we took there free breakfast packed up and left. Note there is major building going on across from the front of the hotel aswell as what we endured at the back and this looks like it could be going on for a few months yet in both areas. our room no was 225.

"Great hotel,loved it cause it was close to everything even the park which are daughter loved."

The hotel was great because of its closeness to the underground,brilliant pub the swan round the corner did great food lovely atmosphere.The staff at the park inn hotel very friendly and helpfull would definetely stay there again. Thank you for a lovely stay

"good staff but stretched too thin"

one or two staff not enough to deal with the morning check-in and check-out traffic as well as the other needs of guests, making it stressful for everybody

"Only 1 towel provided in double room"

There was only 1 bath towel and handtowel in the room on arrival. I asked for an extra set of towels but none were provided. I asked again the following day, hoping housekeeping would provide the extra towel when cleaning the room but nothing was provided. Also, the minibar in the room was actually heating the items stored in it rather than cooling them.

"My reservation was changed without notice!!!!!"

On arrival I was told that we had been relocated to Park Inn RUSSEL SQUARE. I was told that i`d been contacted (untrue) and was aware of the situation and was happy.Again untrue. The staff were helpful but they had been mislead.Your reservation are to blame for me being out of pocket for taxi fares. Yours, RICHARD BAILEY.

"Friendly, cheerful, in lovely quiet location, excellent family room"

Lovely location, just off the beaten track but within walking distance of Kensington, Oxford Street, Hyde Park etc. Unfortunatel not many places to eat in immediate vicinity. Friendly staff in bright cheerful surroundings. Very big family room, down rather quirky corridors. Room spotlessly clean with all comforts including tea/coffee facilites, iron, room safe. Room spotlessly clean. One little problem: hot water ran out in bathrooms in the middle of shower. Staff apologised: problem with plumbing which they fixed.Breakfast very good but pricey at £13. Arrived back at 22.10 after theatre and staff very cheerfully served us a god family dinner, even though they were clearly preparing breakfast. Overall a very pleasant stay. I would go back
