Excellent location, beautiful hotel, great staff, small rooms despite upgrade, very expensive bar. No bath in our room, only a shower which, considering it`s five star status, was grubby and needed some attention to the grouting. Not all our lights worked but neither of these things ruined our stay. At a travel lodge it would be almost expected but I only mention them because it`s a 5* establishment and I feel it falls short of that. Would stay again at a discounted rate but wouldn`t pay full price.

Only the one night but will stay here many more in future, great arrival reception drinks, welcoming smile and truly helpful and courteous staff. This guest attention flowed through the hotel, from the reception to housekeeping to the bar and restaurant. We couldn`t believe how chilled out the 1212 restaurant and it`s staff were, never mind the background music.... All an experience to savour and do again!

My wife and I celebrated 40 years marriage with a stay at xxxxx xxxxx Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made the visit extra special with some personal touches that we appreciated. They made our stay very special.

Had a wonderful weekend, the room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and spacious. Incredible location and the staff at the hotel could not be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would love to stay here again next time I`m in London.

Absolutely fantastic hotel from the minute we arrived till we left after having a celebration afternoon tea every member of staff we saw could not have been anymore accommodating.A few request s we asked for were dealt with very courteously and efficiently nothing was too much trouble.Beautifulspotless hotel ,our rooms perfect food and especially afternoon tea delicious,great central location for lots of main attractions and most of all excellent curtious staff.HIghly recommended this beautiful hotel

Super hotel very helpful and pleasant staff lots of added luxuries only had one bath robe but another one was added as soon as we pointed this out shower not working properly but we only reported this on checking out so can`t comment on how quickly this was sorted overall though very impressive

"Excellent location and ambiance"
Very convenient location, lovely room, delightful staff and responded to my request for a high floor room. But there was just one electric socket and the kettle doesn`t quite reach so needed some propping, and there was no iron in the room (which the hotel guide says there is). Minor issues, but for a 5* irritating. Breakfast is expensive and only a huge appetite could justify the high price tag.

I chose to take the lottery hidden gem hotel and I was not disappointed, this hotel is 5 star all the way, lovely room with under floor heating, TV in the bath!! very clean room, well insulated no noise, attention to detail was spot on. Would definitely use hotel direct again this was an amazing deal at a luxurious hotel very nice and comfortable stay.

Overall the hotel itself is lovely. Our room was incrediably small and clostraphobic. It was far too hot and could not alter the settings. Could not have the windows open as it was too noisy. The bathroom was so small my partner could not get into the shower (door opened onto the toilet!) without standing on the toilet to get in. The hotel needs to sort out the room sizes. The bed was small (double) and very hard - needless to say did not get hardly any sleep.
