"Positive"

Profesional and friendly staff at the Reception. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Its very recommendable and only 10 minutes walk to Dublin centre which was amazing. Wifi could be better but beside this everything was really good.

"More a night club than an hotel"

Very disappointed in cramped room,,,shabby decor and ear deafening music from night club on a weekday night until 2.30 am and on a Friday night until 4.00 am. Breakfast very limited...no muesli, no porridge and soda/wheaten bread hidden out of sight. Won`t be back

"Had a ball! "

Excellent Location, Super friendly staff, rooms very clean, maybe a little dated. However comfortable nights sleep. Delicious breakfast. This hotel is attached to a night club, with a few others on the same street. We enjoyed the craic. However if you want peace and quiet, look elsewhere! We will return! Thank you

"Stay at Harcourt"

The room is very small. The tv is so tiny it is hard to see it from bed which is only place you can watch it. No bathtub. Was not told that when I booked or checked in. No ability to control heat and was terribly hot all night. No fridge in room. Very basic.

"Great location, lively atmosphere and friendly staff!"

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Dublin and had a fantastic time. The hotel was easy to locate off Stephens Green Park. We stayed in the building next to the main hotel which was fine, the rooms were basic and a little dated but overall was clean and tidy. The bar next door Dtwo which is a sports bar was lively during the day and evening. However, I must advise if you are after a quiet stay I wouldn`t recommend here as you can hear the bar music until around 3 in the morning during the week and weekends. Which was fine with us as we were out till this hour most nights.Overall, great little hotel to stay in and if we were to return this would be a contender to stay at again.

"very helpful"

While the first night was noisy and sleepless and affected my wife`s health the staff responded with understanding providing a different room which was perfect giving comfortable nights. Plus complimentary breakfasts. we extended our stay as result. The ready response to our needs gives us ready recommendation to our Aussie friends to Harcourt Hotel.

"Some positive aspects, but far too much noise"

My bedroom was spacious and comfortable and the facilities were generally good. But the level of noise at night and in the early hours of the morning was intolerable to me, and I slept very badly. Ear plugs were provided, but, unfortunately, it made very little difference.

"Mixed experience"

Pros: useful location; comfortable bed; good decor. Cons: Very very small room; quite noisy; no lift to the top floor; many unavoidable stairs; bizarre policy forbidding guests to bring their own alcohol to the room they paid for; more expensive than comparable hotels in central Dublin; very loud bar.

"Lovely building-noise horrendous!!!! "

The building itself and staff lend no complaints to this review. The noise however was unbelievable. The old style windows do not keep any of the Queing, rowdy patrons of the hotel nightclub noise out-all of which may be acceptable but at 4am the continuous beeping of car horns led me to complain. The hotel stated they could do nothing. They did move room thrill owing morning but for the next 2 night sleep was again non existent which unfortunately totally ruined our few days break as nobody can function properly with no sleep for 72 hours!!! I am well able to party although not a 20 something youngster but was very shocked at the amount, volume & length of noise every night at this hotel!

"excellent staff and service"

The Harcourt is a lovely treat with old world charm and modernity mixed in. The staff are so helpful and eager. The hotel has one drawback and that is noise. the front sash windows do little to drown the street noise coupled with the door staff and customers roaring and shouting below the street window it can be hard to sleep this side of 3.00am. however the rooms are clean if dated and the food is excellent..Location alone sells this establishment.

"Good Location for the City"

The hotel has a Nightclub which is very noisy on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday 3/4am!. We moved rooms due to the noise, the hotel was very responsive and helpful in this matter. Can recommend the hotel but be aware of the noise at the weekend.

"Great Hotel and well situated for exploring Dublin."

We had never stayed in Dublin before so we didn`t know much about locations that were best for exploring the City. However our choice of hotel worked really well. It was very central and the accommodation was great with friendly staff and great eating facilities. If you want a great stay in Dublin then you couldn`t go wrong with the Harcort Hotel.

"Great Hotel shame about the noise !"

Super hotel 10 minutes walk from a great shopping area and 20 to Dublin centre. Also served by a tram which passes outside.Courteous staff, good room(s), amazing bar and food. Good value. A really super hotel with lots going for it. The downside ? First night we had a room over the bar..staggering amount of noise from just the bar ( open til 2.30am and it was only Monday night.) We got a room change for the following night to he opposite end of the hotel and instead endured the sounds of the nearby nightclubs. The staff were open and honest about the noise and good about the room move...but really despite this hotel`s many winning features...if you need a quiet night, you may wish to think carefully before booking !

very good restaurant food, nightclub evenings noisy as per web description - staff helpful, especially the receptionist from Slovakia.- other staff generally helpful, though could be a little smarter with further training - currently more reactive than proactive

"Great hotel"

We had a very good experience at this hotel. Not a hotel for a quiet getaway but if you`re in town for a couple of nights and need somewhere central to bars and club it is perfect. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

"We had 2 rooms booked, receptionistAndreys Krumins, only found 1 room reserved, was extremely rude, "

Manager , Mary, and Mr Krumins, were both extremely rude, and told us to use another hotel!!!Finally I showed them the resa from you on my I pad, and only then they came up with another room for us!!The hotel was not full ,and as the owner of a hotel myself, I think they both handled the situation very badly.

"Great location and nice hotel. Staff were friendly."

Our room was on Harcourt Street which tended to be a bit noisy. Not sure whether the World Cup had a bearing on this with enthusiastic supporters Room was lovely and clean. Could be a bit warm and if you opened the window was noisy. Would stay again but ask for a room not on Harcourt Street.

"Don`t expect to sleep at this Hotel"

Bedroom was small but OK apart from the fact we were unable to open the window for some fresh air although the noise from the nightclub downstairs was so bad you would have to close it again. Don`t expect to sleep as the noise will keep you awake until around 4.30am.

"Extremeley disappointing"

On arrival, approx` 2.30pm our allocated room wasn`t ready. However; an alternative room was very nice but there wasn`t any towels. During our two night stay we found when filling the bath with water one had to hold the plug in because the water from the tap directly onto the plug forced it out. On making our first drink we found that two out of 6 cartons of milk were open & empty. Our room still hadn`t been serviced when we returned at 3pm to freshen up on the 2nd day. The pillows were like house bricks and for the two night stay we had no sleep because of the noise from the nightclub, customers & traffic.
