Reception was very nice and welcoming then things started going downhill. The room was clean but in need of refurbishment, especially as there was an obvious patch on the ceiling. The beds were comfortable but the en suite was only passable as you had to sit on the toilet to shut the door. The room was next to a fire door in the corridor which banged on the wall every time someone went through it. Breakfast was fine, not much choice and the staff gave the impression they would rather be somewhere else. Over priced for what you get!

"Rooms are very tired and basic and in need of decoration."
Room was very small with a lot of noise from the road. The reception area is beautiful and well decorated,as is the breakfast room. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great, only the rooms let it down, although they were clean

Room G4 is a pleasant room but I was constantly aware of the sound of the mechanism of the automatic door nearby, leading into the reception area, when it was being used - especially at night. Also I was woken up by noisey people returning late to their adjoining rooms on Saturday night.

The hotel was ideal for our trip, 5 mins away from the tube station. It was very clean, the room was lovely, the breakfast was great, so it was all ideal. Thanks a lot, we had a great time.

"Reasonable basic hotel, in need of refurbishment"
We were reasonably favourably impressed - staff were happy for us to leave our luggage there before and after our stay, and were friendly. Room for our first night was clean and comfortable, though in need of refurbishment. We were nudged into a different room for the second night, which meant (partly) packing so the staff could move our stuff to the replacement room, which was a lot more luxurious - bigger, and had been refurbished. Continental breakfast was plenty for us - the supplement of £4 for the "full English" would have been an extravagance. The lift was temperamental - out of order when we wanted to take our luggage up to our room on arrival; fortunately we had to go up only one floor.

sadly the tv only had 1 channel working. No sapre pillows in the room. Room was comfortable but was noisy from outside and next room.Food was lovely.

Rooms are small (ish), and could benefit from newer furnishings, but comfortable for a short stay. Evening meals at reasonable prices available in bar area, which is also used by locals, so can be crowded. Small number of staff, who double up on jobs. Small charge for "English" breakfast, but good value. A very pleasant stay.

A relatively cheap, decent hotel in a good location. Close to Paddington Station and a good base from which to see all London has to offer. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

"Poor standards"
Unfortunately it looked good from the outside and the lobby then things went wrong - the room was unbearable hot - so much so we had to have the window wide open and be treated to the `delights` of Paddington nightlife - we told the hotel but nothing was done, the sheets were not clean, there was rubbish left from the previous occupants and the wi-fi was not accessible with the hotels password .... there is no way we would have spent 2 nights there so were very disappointed with that aspect of the trip.

The staff were very helpful, and I greatly appreciated the hassle-free, fast internet for which there was no charge. The breakfast was fine. However, the room needed renovation.

"Overall basic but pleasant stay"
Most of my stay was pleasant, staff were helpful and friendly, ample free breakfast or for an extra 4 pounds a full English breakfast.My last night was disrupted by a leak in the bathroom ceiling. I called reception who sent someone immediately and I was given a new room. No assistance offered in moving bags to new room, no compensation offered for inconvenience. Overall relatively pleasant stay.

The room was very small and in need of redecoration. The bathroom door and the bath needs replacing. Little attention was paid to replacing tea, sugar and milk which had to be chased up. The dining room for breakfast was fine and the service was good as the hotel was busy. The bar area was a bit basic but the service was effiecient and the prices reasonable. Given the area not a bad place to stay at as it is convenient for good transport connections.

"Nice on the outside......."
We only wanted the hotel to sleep in and breakfast the next morning. It did not meet much expectations. The room was extremely small which is not a massive issue, but the matress that we had to sleep on was the worst I`ve ever lied down on. Did not make for a good night sleep. They then charged me an extra £4 per breakfast if we wanted a full English. Which was a bit disappointing. The service and staff were excellent - just the furniture and food was disappointing.

"Norfolk Towers: Good, older, reasonable hotel"
I forgot to note to the front desk that the TV was not working. It didn`t matter to us, but future guests may want to use it. I`ll use Norfolk Towers on future trips to London. Thanks very much.

OK, so given the fact that rooms are pretty small. The hotel should keep in mind that although their guest spend most of their day outside of the hotel room, when they come back, they want to.rest in comfort. Hence, comfortable mattress should be provided and nice firm soft pillows. That should.be standardfor all hotel rooms. Reason why I.mentioned this was because that was the type of mattress and pillow I had. Although my nights were kind of uncomfortable I didn`t want to distrub the staff regarding this matter and because I was already too tired. Other than that my stay was OK and the ppl there were nice to me.
