"A cold hotel"
Our room was freezing. It had two tiny old radiators which where situated by the windows. Hardly any heat came off them. It was that cold our wine did not need to put in a fridge. We left it on the windowsill where it chilled nicely. Staff where very friendly and helpful.

"Service and smiles."
A lovely place with everything you would expect of Irish hopitality. Would recommend it to anyone coming this way. Under difficult person circumstances it was the positive aspect of my first visit to Ireland.

"customer service is everything!!"
Receptionist most unwelcoming and rude, no smile or greeting, main concern asking for a credit card, and hotel bill had already been paid, unhelpful when we enquired about a meal in the restaurant. Lady on bar extremely pleasant/ chatty. Being vegi ordered cheese/ tomato toastie got ham and cheese!! The man serving didn`t apologise, obviously didn`t realise the significance of serving ham to a vegetarian. Bill for food/drinks were put on our room then received call from receptionist requesting we settle our bill, we were in bed. Same receptionist on duty next morning mood /manners were no better.

The hotel is advertised as a spar hotel but there wasn`t a spar. Water pressure in the room was poor. Room small but comfortable. General areas seating could be cleaner, most chairs we sat on had stains which could easily be remove by cleaning. Easy access by bus, but last bus from Dublin 2320, and a taxi would have cost 30 Euro`s. Hotel bar catered for men, by having sports on the TV, no entrainment for younger customers, unless you like line dancing. Excellent link to motorway, as the Spar (which isn`t a spa) is on the M50 motorway. Overall a nice hotel, well suited to the more mature customer.
Service and smiles.
