St Patricks Day in London
St Patrick's Day is on the 17th March but there are events all around London throughout the week - particularly in the many Irish pubs in the capital. A few of the best of these in which to sample some black Irish gold (Guinness) are Waxy O'Connors off Leicester Square, The Porterhouse in Covent Garden, The Tipperary (London's oldest Irish pub) on Fleet Street and in the City of London, Ryan's Bar near St Pauls. The St Patrick's Day parade itself commences at noon on Sunday 17th March in Piccadilly, then the blaze of green moves onto Trafalgar Square where you can enjoy the free festivities until 6pm.
