All of the 82 bedrooms at the Columba Hotel Inverness, some with views of the River Ness, are decorated in a traditional style. The modern ensuite bathrooms have complimentary toiletries. In-room facilities include flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, hairdryers and tea & coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served daily from 7.30am in the Victoria Restaurant. The dinner menu, which is served from 6pm features dishes inspired by the use of local sourced ingredients, pre-booking is recommended. Food is also served throughout the day in MacNabs Bar and Bistro. A great spot to sit and enjoy a Scotch whiskey either inside, or out on the terrace to admire the stunning views of Inverness Castle.
Hotel and location:
The 4* Columba Hotel Inverness is situated on the banks of the River Ness in Britain`s most northerly city. There are plenty of places of interest to visit in Inverness itself that are within walking distance of the hotel and also within a short driving distance of the city. It is just a four minute walk across the bridge to The Inverness Museum and Gallery and 8 minutes to Inverness Cathedral. The Ness Islands are also a short walk along the riverbank and can be reached in less than 20 minutes. Guests wishing to visit the surrounding area can make a trip to the Glen Ord Whiskey Distillery which is approximately 14 miles or a 25 minutes drive away where there is a visitor`s centre and whisky shop. There are many places of British historical interest in this area including the 18th century Culloden Battlefield Site which is around a 20 minutes drive away. No visit to this part of Scotland would be complete without a visit to Loch Ness to spot the world-famous monster!
Getting there:
BY ROAD: Heading north follow the A9 until you reach the exit for the A82/Longman Road. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Longman Road/A82. After 0.5 miles at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Longman Road/A82 for the next 0.5 miles. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Chapel Street/B865 and then a right turn onto Friars Lane/B862. Follow this road and then turn right onto Ness Bridge/Young St/B861. Take a left turn onto Ness Walk and the hotel will be on your right.
BY TRAIN: Exit Inverness Rail Station and turn left onto Strothers Lane and then turn left onto Academy Street/B865 and then almost immediately turn Queensgate. Continue onto Fraser Street and then turn left onto Bank Street/B862. Take a right turn onto Ness Bridge and cross the river. Take a left onto Ness Walk and the hotel will be on your right.

No onsite parking. Nearest parking is Cathedral Car Park 0.2 miles from hotel. Costs £4.50 for 24 hours. Guests can pull up outside to drop luggage before parking their car.
