Glennridding Village, which is just 10 minutes drive, is popular with walkers to use as a starting point to take in the splendour of the lakes. The best way to appreciate the lake is from one of the many vessels offering a variety of excursions. There is also a Sailing Centre where visitors can hire kayaks and canoes in the summer months. The hotel is just 10 miles from the M6, has plenty of free onsite parking and is dog friendly.

Getting there:

BY ROAD: Heading south on the M6 exit at junction29 and take the M65 exit to Burnley/Blackburn. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the M6 slip road to M55/Lancaster/B`pool and merge onto M6. After 71 miles at junction 40 take the A66 exit to Penrith/Workington/Brough. At Skirsgill Interchange, take the 1st exit onto A66 and after 0.9 miles a the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A592. After a further 6 miles turn left and the hotel will be on the right.
BY TRAIN: The hotel is approximately 8 miles from Penrith Station, a 20 minute taxi journey.
